  • One thing's for certain, the temperature, in Fahrenheit, of these graphics cards are surely going always to be as high as the FPS they'll deliver. And putting all of that horsepower (around $28,000 worth I guess) in that case is like fitting a Ferrari F12 Superfast engine in a Ford Pinto body.

    • @@iPhroggy No it isn't? That particular GPU comes with an radiator with two fans and a connection for those pipes. Which are not connected in the video. It will run hot. And even with a radiator connected trying to move that much heat away, having three of them in that close proximity is going to produce ridiculous heat. This is what happens when someone goes "sort by most expensive" and then builds a PC. It's cool, I guess.

Now that can go up real fast if you use special professional or server products like insane high capacity cloud storage drives and insane amounts of memory. 2tb of ram is almost 30k on its own. But a hedt platform like this with as many prosumer gpus, ram, and storage as you can fit usually always totals about 30-35k. Though I have to be honest, I would absolutely love to see an insane balls to the wall build with this platform. Completely custom loop with all the most expensive and custom built parts possible, as much ram as possible with heat spreaders and watercooling, as many 8tb gen4 drives as you can fit, gen4 optane, and then those 100tb nimbus ssds to top it all off.

  • So we got a $30k PC build, with 3 hybrid 3090s, thread ripper and maxed out RAM. Not to say it's not a boujee system but it lacks the custom loop to keep them cool, the prospects that the triple GPU is effective at all in modern games (work station applications excluded) and we didn't get a benchmark. I like your rgb paperweight sir.

  • That's good to know I picked up the thread ripper pro 64core cpu. It ran me little over 10 grand alone..... but 😆 I'm future proofing this particular pc.. atm I'm running 2 3090TIs which I'm planning on swapping em for the 40 series once they hit market.. the 4090ti is what I'm waiting for.. considering the 4070 beat the 3090ti and its not even out yet... so if the budget friendly 4070 walked the 3090ti which does 8k 120hz... just imagine what the 4090ti is gonna be truly capable of... and thats why I got the thread ripper pro.... for future proofing
