As somebody who genuinely loves this game, my mind is so blown away right now! I mean, I'm positively shocked by just the fact that I can now finally use 2 or more karts on a single Switch console (instead of 2 Switches required to operate 2 karts like it used to), words can't describe how incredible this is!
I am also just as mind blown as you. I can now play with my gf on the same Switch. It's gonna be mighty helpful!

The game is so realistic that they even made it look like you're playing with an RC car that has a camera. Man, graphics are awesomesauce.

It’s a bit late for this, but it is really cool that more stuff is being added, especially multiplayer which was something that should’ve been there when it was released imo. Glad it’s here now though than never

@@seanharry9586 I own it yeah, I got it like the week it came out last year and played around with it for about a week or so then kinda stopped and forgot about it. It’d be nice if I had a bigger space but oh well I guess. It is fun though for a little bit but for me it gets boring kinda quick, it’d be fun though if you can get creative with your tracks and playing with friends and stuff

See, I’m in this boat, even though I live in a regular size house. Even my regular size house doesn’t have enough room for a game like this, and all I want a brand new Mario Kart experience feeling. 😞

@@Thewolfguys.cartoons2000 I have own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe since it first launched on Switch, and I owned Mario Kart 8 on Wii U since that launched as well. I’m so getting tired of those tracks that I have resorted going back to older titles. Heck, Mario Kart 64 is even more exciting than Mario Kart 8 now for someone like me. At least those courses are different than the ones in MK8 and are at least in a different design due to the era it came out in. 😓
I live in a tiny apartment too, but tried using it at a relatives house many times, and it's not great there, either. The game has two small problems that together create a huge problem. Problem one, to have any sort of satisfying experience you need to have a pretty large space, as in larger than is standard even in an American home, which generally speaking, have larger rooms than most of the rest of the world. Problem two, these carts tend to have pretty short range. In my experience, I tend to lose the signal around 10-12 feet away, which wouldn't be that bad if I stood on a stool in the middle of the room and had no other furniture whatsoever, but still not great. Frankly, I think they should've worked on making the range a bit better, made these slightly bigger, given them better (possibly even replaceable) tires, given them a bit better torque, and made it an outdoors toy. As it is now, it requires a large space, but is also incapable of using a large space.
Yeah but it still works in a small space I fit it in my room and I'm not saying it's small but the track was just a circle sometimes I put it so that it also goes in my brother's room and another time I kind of did a double circle And also remember after a certain distance from the switch it starts glitching a bit I once even made a very small course as well it was probably like the most simplest course I made
R.I.P to the people who bought another switch for multiplayer.
At least they can either give it to a friend or use it for something like Super Mario Party.
They kind of deserve it if they were wasteful enough to buy another whole console just for one little toy mario kart game lol.😅

I like the jazzy rendition of Bowser jr's boss theme from SMG at the start of the video. This still just looks like something I would've loved as a kid, but I know that if I were to get it now, it'd get used once, maybe a few times and then just be a very expensive box taking up space.

I hope Nintendo releases more of these cool IRL games like this one. This is a very unique racing game and this is one step further to Nintendo’s futuristic technology.

While I think Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is neat concept. I'm still wanting a Mario Kart 9 or at least some big grand update to MK8D since that still is number 1 for Switch games. 😞

I love how they subtly added the Poltergust G-00 as a kart customization, it fits well while playing as Luigi
This update is cool. I would love to save courses that I make and not have to design or re-design a new course every time. Plus, it would allow you to share tracks with friends.
That would mean people would have to recreate your track which you can just share an image of it online and have people replicate it
Not really possible to save a course since it’s physical it wouldn’t make sense
How that "save" thing will work? Because it depends of the "house" space/style of the owner, in this case the tracks aren't in-game.
@@Spaggers That is a good point. It would most certainly be a pain trying to replicate past courses. I was thinking along the lines of making the game function without the VR cars. I think the VR cars add a lot of extra flavor to the experience, but at the same time, they are only necessary because Nintendo makes them so. The main pull for me towards this game is the customizability and creation of the courses. So I don't see why they cannot make the game work with and without the toy karts.
@@mariobasketball30 Well if they made the game functional without the RC karts and allowed people to upload their track online, you've still got to consider the possibility that people are uploading their tracks with their house as the track background which would be displaying their privacy on the internet. Or unless they make you use a generic background that fits the setting of your track when uploading.
this was such an awersome surprise- my brother got this for me for my birthday and I still set it up from time to time to race- it's one of the reasons why i like when Nintendo does weird off the wall ideas like this- sometimes it's the things I'm never expecting that I have the most fun with

I just got this and it is insanely fun. I really hope they make more character sets. Even expansions with extra karts. I would love to be able to add more gates as well.
I hope they make stand alone karts that are cheaper than the starter set, so we don't have to spen an extra 100-300 dollars to play multiplayer. Instead we could by the main set with the track peices and 1 kart for 100 dollars, than buy some extra stand alone karts for a much cheaper price. They could also make more characters for the stand alone karts like toad and peach. I would really like to try this game out but don't want to spend 200-400 for multiplayer with my family. They are missing a lot of potential on this game.
Id like to see some Labo terrain pieces like buildings and such.

Thanks for continuing to add value to this game! The dlc has been fun so far and I’m happy that the devs have been able to keep updating the game. It really is a fun time and this will make for more fun memories with my family

Nice, but seriously, needs more choices for R/C cars other than Mario and Luigi.
Add yoshi and peach(as rc cars) and it will be perfect. Other characters wouldnt work that well because we are dealing with real life physics(and manufacturing cost)now so all rc cars need to be same size and weight.

I saw the words "Mario Kart" and was about to lose it, then noticed the "live" right after it. It's cool that they added stuff to that and all but I was hoping for a new real Mario Kart. I would like to think the reason it's taking so long is because they're putting a lot of cool stuff into it but looking at the sales of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I'm pretty sure they're either waiting for it to stop selling, or haven't even started developement.
