I'm amazed that I've never seen any marketing for this. I only found this video completely by chance, but this is once again Nintendo innovation at its finest. This is honestly brilliant, and has insane potential for the future. I hope it does well enough for Nintendo--and maybe other companies--start incorporating the concept into other games.

What impressed me the most is the steering assist. And I really hope for more karts. I guess it was smart to limit it to two before they find out if it takes off but I would have loved to see at least four different designs like add Peach and Daisy.

Man this is so cool. Imagine in 7 or 8 years they release a Mario Kart game where it uses Google Map so you can virtually drive around your city with live traffic.

When I Watched this in the premiere I got so excited because I thought they were adding new stages. But then a blue shell quickly came and ended my hope.
Honestly the biggest issue I see with the game is that each player has to have their own switch. Many families that would have loved to play this together will be disappointed that their family-shared switch is only capable of supporting a single racer.
I hope they add characters separately so we can just buy them without having to spend another $100 just to get another character.

I personally think it would be very interesting to set up bridges going from different table tops and have the track take place on top of them, if only to see what the in-game AI can handle.
Make sure your ramps are stable and smoothly curve between angles as much as possible if you do, if only to make sure the track stays intact.
If somebody has a dog, and they start driving one of these RC cars around the house, then it's gonna be like the climax of Toy Story where Scud was chasing RC and Buzz.

The technology in this game is amazing and I'm happy that we finally have a "Mario Kart Maker" of sorts. The customization options for the bros. look good, too, but the lack of characters is a real shame. I don't like these toy game hybrids Nintendo is putting out, either, so I'm not getting it, but this definitely looks good for those who are.

I feel like this would be awesome if it wasn’t an RC car and was just a normal Mario Kart game. New costumes? New karts? A COURSE CREATOR?! I swear this would be a Mario Kart fan’s dream if it was a real Mario Kart game.

Baconburg Yeah, but not really. It’s a Mario Kart game about as much as Tour, or VR. Tour and VR’s features are great, but Tour is just too dominated by its Gacha-y ness (and in my opinion dumb controls), and VR is literally a Comic-con stand. Likewise, Live is an RC car. If it wasn’t an RC-car, it’d be even better than 8 Deluxe, but deep down, it’s an RC-car, and nothing can change that. I’m not saying this isn’t an awesome game, I’m just saying it can’t really be played normally. The next traditional Mario Kart should re-use these assets to make it even more awesome!

Although this looks incredible, I don't think I'll be getting this as I don't really have the space to set up this type of thing. I hope that the same sort of energy goes into whatever the next Mario Kart is though! Weather variations especially could be a simple cosmetic change in future entries.
