Odorless mineral spirits can remove backing paper. Since it is made of aliphatic hydrocarbons, safe on plexiglass.
It sets quick if you spray it with water.

In Australia we have this stuff for instant cooling, It's called water. Im not sure if you have it over there, you should try it if you can?
My plexiglass has plastic peel sheet, will leaving the protective sheets make them melt into the glass as I heat it?
no, leaving the paper on will be fine.

Oh, sorry I missed that. I have no experience with plexi with a plastic sheet covering. Could you do a test on a small piece?
@@fx1mark I ended up doing that. So far seems my fears were unfounded.
A couple of spring clamps or c clamps would have helped you hold it. Or another set of hands. Good job though.

I made trays to go in the sidecases of my motorcycle. They turned out great. I don't know any way to add a pic of the finished tray.
Looks like your plexiglass got burnt on every bend. Wish I could of seen the end result
no, it's not burnt. I think you are seeing the brown paper covering the plexi. the project I was working on came out great.
You FAILED to show us what the FINAL results were... kind of defeats the purpose of watching the video.
Dont be such a hater. He showed the technique, which was the more important part. Its pretty obvious what the final result was.
