  • Perfect, I used to have access to a strip heater but not any more. Your idea is perfect for what I want to do. Thanks for posting.

  • Odorless mineral spirits can remove backing paper. Since it is made of aliphatic hydrocarbons, safe on plexiglass.

  • My plexiglass has plastic peel sheet, will leaving the protective sheets make them melt into the glass as I heat it?

    @Gadgetmawombo@Gadgetmawombo4 жыл бұрын
    • no, leaving the paper on will be fine.

    • Oh, sorry I missed that. I have no experience with plexi with a plastic sheet covering. Could you do a test on a small piece?

    • @@fx1mark I ended up doing that. So far seems my fears were unfounded.

  • A couple of spring clamps or c clamps would have helped you hold it. Or another set of hands. Good job though.

    • I made trays to go in the sidecases of my motorcycle. They turned out great. I don't know any way to add a pic of the finished tray.

  • Looks like your plexiglass got burnt on every bend. Wish I could of seen the end result

    @jeremywright6373@jeremywright63735 жыл бұрын
    • no, it's not burnt. I think you are seeing the brown paper covering the plexi. the project I was working on came out great.

  • You FAILED to show us what the FINAL results were... kind of defeats the purpose of watching the video.

    • Dont be such a hater. He showed the technique, which was the more important part. Its pretty obvious what the final result was.
