"A villain is just a broken hero" - someone
Yes because Hitler was a broken hero and Genghis Khan was a broken hero apparently 🙄. Whoever made that stupid quote obviously has no idea what a hero is and the principals are of them and is probably another crook trying to justify their shitey actions. Batman is a broken hero, he lost his parents before puberty and could've easily been a villain but instead chose to be the opposite he does the right thing has a code of ethics yet is tragically hurting on the inside most. Punisher is a broken hero losing everything and most of his humanity but yet swore to protect the innocent by paying evil with lesser evil. Don't ever insult the word and meaning of hero by saying they're villains that's what anti-heroes and anti-villains are.

According to every school I went to, yes. They don't care about bullying, regardless of the antibullying campaigns they had.
I get that. In elementary the boys used to call me names and everyone used me to get my toys or food from me. And made me cry every day and I told the teachers and all they did was tell them to stop. But they didn’t stop and at some point I felt like the teachers were annoyed with me because I kept on telling on them.

Honestly, experienced school to be exactly like that. When lots of kids pick on one kid it's just easier for faculty to punish the one kid for fighting back than the army of kids picking on them. Sad but true =/

The original book from 1956 goes into better detail in regards to that. Whenever Cruella was bullied she would take it to the extreme. She would respond to mild teasing with violence. She and her mother were also considered to be incredibly arrogant despite coming from a piss poor family (in the movie the mother was not like that though) and both faculty and students were simply creeped out by Cruella. She was caught drinking ink, she was violent and she had a weird sense of fashion.

I don't think there was psychiatry back in the days. It was clear that Cruella needed help as she got older. Her career became her obsession. Thus becoming darker and darker til you can't find your way back to light, thus we get the old cranky Cruella.

Cruella's "mother" should've known better not to go to Baroness for money That's the same woman who ordered Cruella to be killed as a baby, the mom could've tried to think of a better plan. They didn't even need to move if it meant trying to get so much money, and she should've tried to ask other people for help.
I think she was threatening her (not sure how as it isn't mentioned) and didn't expect The Baroness to kill her. I assume she expected The Baroness to give her money to shut her up.

The film tackles some surprisingly dark themes (murder, grief, narcissism, sociopathy...), but that have to keep it fun through humor, because well, it's a Disney movie. It's been a while since disney made something as good as this.
