  • I think too many reviewers look at a spec sheet when reviewing a phone. The majority of people, even the majority of power users arent going to be doing video encoding or intensive gaming on their phone. In every other area (calls, photos, and texting) I feel the pixel is much better than the samsung phones I've used in the past because the integration of google assistant throughout the phone makes it one of the best phones to live with. Of course, if you are an iOS person, the iphone is impossible to beat. I appreciate you keeping that in context when you share your reviews and bringing in the experience of actually using the device.

    @fishfool1978@fishfool19786 ай бұрын
    • Talking about specs is like you have a sex with many women and don't care about their characters 😅 no jokes aside. Even iPhone X or older can support Lightroom Mobile so specs are nothing. Battery in basic iPhones is really good like 5-7 hours. It's enough. Better to talk about real experience of using a phone.

  • Pixel 8 is a better choice i think. A lot of useful features. I don’t know about 7 years but i’m sure it can last 5 years. Google have learned how to improve quality of OS and Security Updates so everything should be fine. I hope Google will improve Tensor G3 efficiency. This resale value has taken too much place in discussion: most people should buy 400-500$ but since carriers want to make money and people have ego issues, they think about resale value as if it’s a graal: Money is gone, just enjoy your phone😅

    • I just sold my Pixel 8 Pro and returned to first iPhone 15 Pro, than regular 15. This is the best of the 3 by far. The Pixel was already slow, games were laging, the phone got really hot and the battery life was very bad because of this. Same with the 15 Pro, got hot and battery drained fast. The regular 15 is not heating, battery easily lasts a day, not like the other 2. I really wanted to like the 8 Pro and the 15 Pro, but they are not good phones.

      @sandorszabo@sandorszabo6 ай бұрын
    • @@martinlazarov5904 unlimited money ?🤨. Maybe people should just buy what they can afford to. If your main priority is resale value, it just confirm you can’t really afford to pay. • Great video, i would like to add also repairability or the lack of it in the case of iPhone. Not all countries have official Apple stores and repair centers so if you need to replace even battery there is an issue straight away. I can take my Pixel to almost any independent mobile repair shop near me and get it fixed in case i need to do so. I had both Pixel and iPhone - love them both but the evil policy of Apple steers me towards Pixel and away from Apple more and more.

  • It's really just about your preferred OS. Both phones in real world use will offer whatever baseline needs you may want. I prefer Android especially with Nova Launcher as I can fine tune the phone to my liking, atleast at the homescreen end. I've used iOS in the past, recently used the 13 mini before buying a 2nd hand pixel 5... I can say that iOS is still the best OS in just plain everyday performance. Everything works and the layout is already pleasing to the eyes. But the lack of any sort of customization gets boring really quick.
