  • The fun fact is that Hayden went back to his blue eyes with the blue lightsaber for about 5 seconds, showing the light side was still with him

  • I love the use of colour during this scene, the blending of red and blue. Classic colours, with blue representing the light side and red representing the dark side. Notice that when Anakin seems to emerge to talk to Obi Wan the colours take on a blend of blue and red, with the blue slowly overpowering the red. But once the dark side takes over again it shifts back to full red again.

It was the same when he broke out from under the rocks, they didn’t use any original music. Things like when Kenobi finds the Jedi tomb, it could have been council members like Kiadi Mundi, Plo Koon, even Windu maybe, again could have been far more impactful.

Vader's screams of Obi-Wan's name at the end felt like anguish that Obi-Wan abandoned him yet again, but this makes Luke choosing not to leave him and see the best in his father more poignant, as that is ultimately what brought Anakin back in the end.

      @BenAri18@BenAri183 ай бұрын

I literally watched her nose turn to pink as her emotions began to flow... LOL... Mentioned was "The Scar", on Anakins head. It was only ever seen once before. That being on the head of the original "Anakin Skywalker/Sebastian Shaw" at the end of "Return of the Jedi". I was glad to see someone else could recognize it from somewhere other than "The Ashoka Scene", in "Rebels"... But, I'm old-school, I digress.. ROTJ, Luke stating, "Then My Father is Truly Dead". Obi-Wan Referring to him as "Darth". "Lifting Rocks", was a phrase I REALLY wanted to hear throughout many various Star Wars scenes, however, the references have always revealed themselves to anyone who KNOWS... I was born on May 17th 1977. "A New Hope" opened in theaters 9 days later. HBO was my best friend back in those days because "Star Wars" came on all the time back then...It was the BEST/NEWEST/VISIONARY/MOVIE/MOVEMENT of its day... LOL... Also watched ESB & ROTJ in the theaters as a child... All of the first 6 films, even "Solo", aired in theaters within the month of May, which made Birthdays pretty awesome... That is until Disney got their hands on it, now its in December... I suppose that is intended to make Christmas a bit more special instead... LOL... Thanks to everyone who participated in the creation of this video... And just so you know, us fans appreciate your contribution & dedication to the Fandom... Also, Thanks to whomever stayed long enough to read this ridiculous Novel-Length comment all the way to the end... It was very enjoyable... Merry Christmas to EVERYONE...

And then this moment tears open that old wound in all of it's agonizing glory all at once, and Obi-Wan is again confronted by the dark shadow of what was once his dearest and most trusted friend. A man that Obi-Wan would have laid down his life for without a moment's hesitation. And Obi-Wan is again reminded of how, in Anakin's moment of greatest need, he wasn't able to save him. That would destroy anyone in the same position.

Everyone kinda forgot about it even Obi Wan. He doesnt see Darth Vader then. He sees his old friend that he feels sorry for leaving him and letting him down. When he says you didnt kill Anakin Skywalker i did. It to me is kinda true. Like Anakin was in so much pain and he felt like everyone was againts him. But it also shows that Anikin takes full responsibility of what he has become, and I think after everything he’s done, he didn’t think there was a way back. It was better to just…go to the Dark Side and be the villain that everyone expected him to be. I think that also speaks volumes of people as a whole. They drink, smoke, do everything in their power to avoid facing their demons and that is what stops them from getting better. People always…ALWAYS…underestimate their strength.

    • Weakest in the Force maybe but Windu believed aside from him and Yoda, that Obi-Wan was the best Jedi the Order had. He also noted that if he and Obi-Wan were to fight that Obi-Wan would win since his lightsaber form is such a direct counter to his. Windu was more skilled overall but you get it

Like they’re not supposed to have actual connections to ppl because they might be drawn to the stronger side the dark side so when he’s in his feelings about anakin who’s basically his son he’d be more emotional/powerful ?

  • Vader claiming he killed Anakin honestly is right. No one made those choices for him. Ultimately it did come down to what Anakin CHOSE to do. However, this statement likely did the opposite of what Vader wanted. Obi-Wan has spent the last decade blaming himself, and Vader made that statement likely wanting to make Obi-Wan truly feel like he failed as a teacher and mentor, but what he actually did was bring closure. In confronting Obi-Wan with that truth, he made him realize it was not his fault. Obi-Wan finally comes to terms with the fact that this is from ANAKIN'S choices and actions, not his own.

  • Every time you see Vader, you always see the part of him that is still Anakin Skywalker as well. The two parts of light and dark made whole, no matter what is being done. I think the only time we don't see that is in Rogue one, which, if I'm not mistaken has the smallest amount of screen time with Vader.

  • Here is a deeper meaning to the Star Wars myth of Anakin being the chosen one and the one that will bring balance to the force. He did bring balance, he brought Luke and Lea. They were the balance, but Disney ruined it with Rey!

    @tysonthomas7094@tysonthomas70942 ай бұрын
    • Anakin brought balance to the Force by destroying most of the Jedi, and when he was redeemed and killed Palpatine, he ended the Sith. Leaving Luke and Leia to bring back the Jedi. The Force is in Balance with the light of the Jedi is maintain by the balance of every day evil choices made around the galaxy. The Sith disrupt this balance by being pure concentrated anger, hate, and fear. Sith are steeped in it, drenched in it and they exude malice wherever they go. which causes more fear, and that spreads. The force always seeks balance, hence the reason that Anakin was born. Plaguies and Palpatine forced their will onto the Force itself being two of the most power darkside users in the galaxy. They bent the Force itself to their whim to blind the Jedi. It worked, but every action has an equal or opposite reaction. The Force sent us Anakin. It was more than just Rey that ruined the Sequels. She is just the quick and easy path to take. The decision to leave soooo much necessary information to books, comics, and offscreen rather than show us, to explain why Han and Leia are split, why Luke is the way he is all was poor story telling. It gave us no connection to the established characters, which meant we could not connect with the choices the director's made, which lead to us rejecting those idea because they were so alien. Which then became anger and hate towards all of Disney's Star Wars.

  • imagine a movie that is just this. little to no inquisitors, just Vader hunting down Obi-wan, flashback scenes, obi-wan catching scent that vader is looking for him and leaves tatooine to throw off his scent, and it ultimatelty comes down to this fight. I'd rather they not leave it to obi-wan leaving vader alive by choice but becase he has to but it could have been glorious. Disney Plus really is ruining Disney's chances for box office success

  • Call me crazy, but I think when the blue lightsaber color is on Vaders face when he says "I am not your failure, Obi-Wan, you didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker, I did" I think that was what was left of Anakin speaking and letting Obi-Wan know that his fall to the dark side was not his fault but his own. Then right afterwards the red color appears on his face and he transitions back into Vader.
