If a crappy little PR firm can manage this, imagine what sophisticated covert organizations with zero accountability or proof of existence, operating outside local and international legal regimes can achieve, like the 2016 US election, to name an obvious example. Imagine the ones that are less obvious, that you kinda suspect but also doubt yourself due to their utter outlandishness, like if the illuminati were to do this. I know, I know, the illuminati does not stoop to this level, but if they did. Like if a bunch of moronic nincompoops at a PR firm or incompetent bureaucrats at a clandestine agency can do so much damage, imagine what a group of intelligent, sophisticated and committed people could achieve. If you can imagine one years of all the taxes collected for the fiscus was stolen by the Guptas. Put that in proportion if such a thing happened in the USA.
