Tonight Project LX470 gets a proper set of wheels and requires a little clearancing in the process.

Three years later...I like it!
TRUCK LOOKS AWESOME!
Thank you!
looks great!
Thank you! Cheers!
aaaaaaaannnnndddddd now I'm gonna be looking up LX470 reviews to see if I want to buy one in the future. Thanks.....
They are phenomenal trucks. By far the best I've ever owned.
Pull those Running Boards and add front Mud Flaps - you're welcome! (2020 LX470 that turned 88,888 miles today - single family owned.)
Love the color combo. I have a white 03 LX470 and a silver 09 LX570. That gray is sweet. Wheels good looking on it.
Right on!
They look good 😎 I own a lx 470 in white with very low miles and I must say, I like the look of yours. I may have to wrap mine now and get some new wheels too 🙄
Nice upgrade! I am getting my new wheels next week for my 01. Method 20" on those Toyos!!
Nice!!
One of the cleanest lx470s I've seen.
Thank you!
damn ur lx470 looks hella clean.. nice color everything
Thank you!
I absolutely love my 04 LX470 ... yours is only 100K miles thats practically brand new for an LC100... I like the look. I went for a 2020 Land Cruiser OEM 18 inch wheel and yes I also had fitment issues with the front wheels only, spacers help a lot. Your LX looks very good!
Right on!
Hahaha you pretty much nailed the exact description of what it looks like @ 14:35 What are the specs on the newest wheel and tires? Trying to go for a similar look
18x9.5 +10 all around. Level 8 makes them.
Now you need a ARB Bullbar
You could get a 100 series land cruiser/lx470 spoiler it looks nice
That monochrome look. Badass
Thanks Dave!
Never knew we had the same daily! I did end up removing the AHC after 226k miles and replacing it with an Ironman lift.
How was the process? I just serviced the AHC, hoping it lasts a while.
@@TheSlipAngle Total nightmare, but only because we did a steering rack, every bushing, sway bars, axles, etc etc etc. total suspension refresh.
The 1998 lx470 is listed down here as having a LSD, and a rear locking differential. Don't know how it can have both a LSD and a Locking diff on the same axle?
Well since I have an 01 RRG lx and live in Torrington I can't do the same exact wheel on the same exact truck.. (but my side markers aren't clear) But you have made me aware my stock 18's are sorely lacking.. Now do I put a new top and suspension upgrades on the miata or get a killer wheel and tire combo for the lx.. Thanks...😅
Follow your heart :)
Looks great. I have a Toyota 4Runner Trd Pro I want to change wheels and tires on. I want a lighter wheel and a all season tire.
You have a ton of better wheel options being 6x139. Enkei makes an RPF1-T that I wanted really badly but no 5x150 options.
I’ve been trying to find this same set of wheels 😢 no luck
wheel and tire set up?
What about using a heat gun to reform the back of the liner so the tire doesn't rub a hole and allow salt and debris in? Either way looks great.
That's a great idea! I am going to do that.
Do you have a video going over the build?
There are videos for each mod done. This wasn't that much of a build rather than a few simple modifications
Did the aftermarket wheels affect the drive at higher speeds like the steering wheel vibrations?
Minimum. They ride pretty nice for having a more aggressive tread pattern
@@TheSlipAngle Gotcha. Thanks
Where can I find those lug nuts?
Amazon / eBay
This tank looks even more sexy
lots more meat there......... cant beat that :) Quinn your sooooo lucky you can pull your trigger soooo many times a day...... you gonna get some more road noise with that tread pattern..... drown out the tape player.... does look a little gangsta though.. :) N x
Is this lifted ?
Stock AHC
get some bora or spidertrax spacers. hub centric spacers.
I don't think I want to push these out any further. Fear of slinging stuff all over the sides lol
Those wheels and tires make that SUV look so much beefy. Even if you just did the rims those stock ones just looked terrible.
Agreed!
Hilarious you get all the cars i own or want to own.. lx470 is a great truck. Sold it for a land cruiser 200 and i almost feel the lx470 is a better truck. Better looking, better luxury, wood, leather, better sound deadening and just felt more like a truck.
I'm surprised to hear that. I've thought about maybe picking up an LX570 or GX460 down the road as a replacement. Fortunately at 106k miles I should have plenty of time before then :)
@@TheSlipAnglehear you the GX460 are very nice. I'll be adding one eventually but right now my LX470 got 220k running strong
I did almost the exact same thing. Bought an ‘08 LC200 that was supposed to replace my ‘07 LX470, but the LX is just a better truck; better fit and finish, sound dampening (silent on the highway), materials, size, etc… I just couldn’t make the switch. They’re both sitting in my driveway, but I’m selling the LC200. Maybe I’ll get an LX570 sometime, but my LX470 only has 118k miles, so… probably be quite a few years.
The beautiful Lx ! Mine is an 05 Black Onyx , a week doesn’t go by without at least one compliment ! Loving my Lx ! Nice color combo ! You should show some shots outside… to show the actual color! 😊
What's up with all the Husky's?
My brother and I picked up some FE501s and are doing supermoto builds on them :)
@@TheSlipAngle Sick! Lets see the builds.
285.65.18? Ет 12 9J????
It's in the video
Interested in selling the stock set up??
No, I like to have two sets of wheels for each car.
