Updates on several projects here on the property. An mci7 stopped by and we discovered a bad intake air boot letting dirty air directly into the engine. Leroy our Saint Bernard got his yearly health check. Tyler stopped to deliver our Allison 740 automatic transmission for the Scenicruiser bus project. The new shop lights got installed and we got a new jump pack that’s 12v and 24v.

Big hug for Leroy 🦮
Glad to see Tyler , we miss him in the videos, you all take care & hope you get better Scott.👍👍👍
Glad to see Tyler is doing great
Thanks very much for the Tyler update. I know many viewers besides myself miss and are concerned for him.
I'm good. Really enjoying the new career. Haven't really touched my tools in almost a year so nothing to really make a video about.
Scott, I’m so glad that you’re going to put the Scenic Cruiser back on the road. I look forward to the progress. It was good to hear from Tyler. He’s too young to have these chronic back issues, and continued work on heavy equipment will age him before his time. I’ve had two major back surgeries; one when I was 19. Fifty years later, it’s a bear
Leroy❤ Pleased to hear Tyler is doing well
the dog is carrying alcohol, that is the best dog in the world lol
Covid sucks. Get well Scott. Thank you for the update on Tyler. I'm glad that he is happy. Thanks for your channel.
I love Leroy; happy he is living out his best life with you guys!
Nice to see you Tyler 🤝 Good Boy Leroy 🐕 😊 I'm so looking forward to the SCENIC CRUISER build 😮 ☮️&❤#SaveTheBuses😊
Thank you for the update on Tyler! I’ve often wondered where he was etc, but thought perhaps I may have missed a previous video explaining that. I also didn’t want to inquire because I thought it wasn’t my business to ask. I only mention this to let you know that he’s been on our mind even though we haven’t said anything, Please let Tyler know we’re happy he’s happy and doing well and that we miss him on your videos.
Just back in Indiana helping a lot of farms be more efficient. Love the new career, just a big change going to sitting at a desk most of the day.
Good to hear Tyler is doing well. That trans will make a world of difference in the SceniCruiser.
If you have any chance , please make a video with tyler too. We like to see him. Thank you.....
glad to hear Tyler is doing good, keep the clips coming
Good to hear about Tyler..Good for him..I hope it works out
I was wondering where Tyler was but never thought to ask Good to see he is happy doing his own thing 😍😍
Had a 12v jumpstart pack for years and it's been great and even has a tire pump in it that has been real helpful at times. Look forward to progress Scenicruiser. Great to hear Tyler is doing well too. Safe travels. Ken.
Glad to see Tyler on your channel. Hope you all are feeling better prayers for all of you guys..
Glad to see Tyler. Sure do miss him in the videos. How is his bus?
So does Leroy have first dibs on the alcohol in the barrel he's carrying?
Neat fix for the collapsed/ripped air intake.
Great video 👍 Congrats for Tyler.
Glad to hear Tyler and Leroy are doing well, was getting concerned. Keep up the great work ! 🇺🇸⚡️TCB⚡️🇺🇸🐰
Glad to see your son. Missed all his great vids
LEDs are great!
The place is looking great. I'd like to get one bus for Burning Man.
I thought you got Leroy as a pup just a couple of years ago. I'm glad he is in good health. I can't wait for you to start on that sceniccruiser project. Sounds like Tyler has found his niche.
those lights look great Scott 👍
Just ordered the 250w 4-pack. Thanks for the tip.
Good to see your son again.
We used 9 of those lights in our shop and they are amazing.
Hi men , those led lights in your work shop are great , we've got them too but we have 1 light per 4 Mt square so no shadows
Thanks for the Tyler update.
and Leroy too
I wondered what happened to Leroy.... I was afraid to ask. Glad Tyler is looking after himself by getting off the tools for work.
Enjoy latest video! Mike from Missouri
These led lights are what SleeperDude uses in his workshop at Riceville Tennessee.
I think we'll be able to test that 24v jump soon on a Lucky Dog Bus (or two) ;)
G'day, It was great to see Leroy, he's doing really well for 10yrs old. And thanks for the update. Q. Has Tyler still got his bus. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Cool dog . I haven't seen you guys in some time .
Damn, Tyler's sure gotten his money's worth out of that cheap truck a few times over by now.
Does an hour commute each way 5-6 days a week still.
Those UFO light fittings give good light
I see Leroy is wearing his barrel.
the 24v is great for extra oomph on 12v starters if you isolate the system such that anything that could be damaged is not in the circuit when you use it. Been a few times it was the only way that I was able to get an engine that was low on compression started.
Many of the older Cummins 855 powered trucks use a 24v starter even though the truck has a 12v electrical system. They use a series parallel relay switch to provide 24v to the starter. Years ago I made a cart with 3 6v batteries wired in series for 18 volts for jump starting. With 18v the moment the starter engages the voltage drops to 14v which is fine for a 12v system.
Horrible design on the linkage.. scenicruisers are very cool.. Fernco connector worked great
Scott thanks for the update it was nice to see and hear Tyler is ok and enjoying life shame he moved away but that’s life and if he’s happy that’s all that matters
How about a close up on the air intake fix?
Leroy's carrying a barrel of diesel in case a bus gets stranded in the wilderness.
😊
How long was Dave driving with the ripped intake boot?
That's not the shifter that bus came with is it? I can't imagine they designed it that way. Even I couldn't deal with that, and I love manual transmissions. Is that your bus? I would love to fix up something exactly like that.
Not the stock trans or shifter mechanism
@@BusGreaseMonkey probably sounded like a good idea at the time for the last owner.
Not really sure that is Tyler. Is there more to the story?
If you were a Patreon member you would have known Tyler was going to be moving back to Indiana 6 months ahead of time. www.patreon.com/busgreasemonkey
Good spot! Of course that person is an actor and not the real Tyler, who has mysteriously disappeared and is rumoured to live on the dark side of the moon now. Of course the lizard people that live there need mechanics as well, so they "persuaded" him to come "work" for him 👽👽👽
Cool old bus but what a horrible design with the shifter
