  • I owned a shop in Southern Louisiana, and had a customer come in with sunroof leaking.( not from me). I went out of my way to get her a part and even got the manufacturer to warranty it. Installed the replacement part at no charge. Cust brakes the part and calls me cussing me out and wanted me to order another latch and install it. I bit my lip and ordered it. It took longer than the first part to come in. Customers reamed me out , so I told her not to return to my shop. She never spent a dollar with me, yet called the BBB on me and was never even my customer. F ing karen

The proper spelling is “breaks” not “brakes” just trying to help. Brakes are what we use to stop ✋🏻 our vehicle lol again not being a dick just trying to help you my friend. Another is “ I bit my lip and ordered it” why would you bite your lip lol 😂 I think you meant “ I bit my tongue” which just means you kept your mouth shut, sucked it up, and wrote off the loss because you’re a good person and a savy business owner. Well I hope this helps lol I’m sure you’ll think I’m a dick or a chad for this post but anyways take care man. Skål 🍻

  • Ive been a mechanic for over 30 years and at one time had a small shop with a couple mechanics working for me. People are saying that Bill is a rip off, or implying that he does bad business bcuz hes been arrested!?. First off we're talking about the business of taking often times brand new vehicles and designing lift kits or even completely redesigning the type of suspension the vehicle uses out of thin air and making it function without issues....this type of work is not cheap...even factory aftermarket setups arent cheap...secondly dont get it twisted about arrests and work quality. Unless the guy is beating up customers or finds that his shop is the perfect backdrop for domestic violence during business hours which i highly doubt then dont worry about what the man does in his personal life

  • I'm not really into lifted trucks and low riders, but they clearly do good work. I think just about every business, especially ones in the TV limelight, is going to have bad reviews and lawsuits, it just goes with the territory. As for whatever legal troubles Bill may have had, it's his personal business and should be decided in a court of law, not the court of public opinion.

    • @@mooremaceoyou're lucky if the police even take your statement after being accused by a woman. The 2nd time is even easier as the police see you have a record of it and don't investigate at all. I have a good friend that broke up with his girlfriend and when he told her to leave she called the police, told them he threatened her with a gun. This was all in an attempt to keep the apartment that was in his name, that he paid all rent and utilities for. The police didn't even ask his side of the story before arresting him and taking him to jail. If it hadn't been for mutual friends that she confided in and told the truth that she was upset and panicked and that he never threatened her. Those friends talked her into doing the right thing by filling out a statement that she lied. She faced zero consequences for her false report and the state still refused to drop the charges. He ended up taking a plea deal because he wasn't confident enough the system would actually get it right, everything up until that point had him already guilty. The plea deal wasn't a felony or DV charge so it allowed him to keep his firearms and he didn't think it was worth the risk to try and fight it. After all that the court made him stay away from his own apartment even though it was in his name and she had zero income. Also was in her home town where she had multiple family members she could have stayed with and he had no family in the area.

Anytime you are successful there are people that are going to try and bring you down!! Even if it is true, it's his personal situation, and I think he deserves to deal with it in private!!! I really dislike drama on tv. I know a lot of people thrive on it. I mean look at all the reality shows on tv today. I don't watch that crap. • The worst thing that can happen is to this shop is to get a show. If you look at ANY and EVERY single show that the internet/tv has came along and put their teeth into, they sucked it dry and tore it apart. These shops/stores/businesses were already amazing (that is what got the attention of the networks anyway). The contracts are so over the top as to what each person can say or do. Just take a look at VGG. He has his own channel, his own fans, he is his own boss. Motor Trend tried to buy him, he did a test run and said no. Good for him. He's smart. But look at shows like OCC, Counting Cars, American Pickers, etc... It uses and abuses them and leaves them out to dry.

  • Fun fact: (Yes FUN): A few years ago I met a woman who I was very very interested in, and after getting to know one another, the feeling was mutual. Then a friend of hers decided that she felt like she should do a search on me. Well, she made aware to her that I had been arrested for domestic violence back in 2011, and without being able to clarify and explain anything to her, she had decided that someone who has been arrested for domestic violence (though not charged, clue #1), was definitely in her actual words “not deserving of her love”. Ok, I felt that she was actually doing me a favor by showing me the type of person she was in the first place. Then she had ended up being in a relationship with a guy that she had met right after me, and decided he was “worthy” of her love. 😂 (yeah right). Well after a few months he ended up putting her in the hospital with facial fractures, which I don’t wish on any woman (well to be honest, MOST women bcuz let’s be real here, there are those that might deserve something close). Sorry but it’s the truth. About a year later I had ran into her at a restaurant/bar and she sat next to me and was telling me about it, which I really didn’t want to hear to begin with. So I waited until noise stopped coming from her mouth, and I just smirked. Then she asked what the smirk was for, then that’s when I figured that I’d let her know that the reason why I was arrested yet not charged for domestic violence was bcuz I had caught my wife (ex right after) at the apartment of a teammate on my softball team and that when I knocked on HIS door my wife was on the couch in just a tank top and being as he knew it was my wife, I proceeded to yank him out the door, dragged him to his truck and pin my knee down on his chest, and proceeded to whip his a$$ WELL!! Of course I got arrested and was shocked they considered it domestic violence. I thought domestic violence was only considered in couples, but evidently bcuz I went to his apartment, that made it domestic violence. Back at the police station, the officers decided not to charge me with it, bcuz they totally understood bcuz we had 2 daughters. After I explained that to her she asked why I didn’t try to explain to her that, and I was like you already had me guilty of abusing a woman. Then I had to just say to her “how ironic it was that she didn’t want to be with me bcuz she thought I was gonna do to her, what the guy she felt deserved her love, did to her!! Then I was like I gotta go bcuz I had to pic my fiancé up and I had to just thank her for not allowing me to waste my time on her, bcuz I never would’ve met my fiancé who turned out to be one of the best women that I have ever met in my life!!

If it wasn't he would not have a show and celebs/ people with money would not be approaching him to build custom one offs.

Once the job is complete, you’ll have a stunning and attention-grabbing vehicle. Personally, I prefer that they take their time rather than rush through it.”

    @GBACH1@GBACH15 ай бұрын
    • Ya got a point on the farmer part. Grew up in Virginia where the suburbs encroached the farms and countryside. Had some wealthy farmers who built shit in the 70's/80's that would blow your mind still today. One comes to mind, it was a FordF350 dually fwd ext cab LB custom made frame - Deuce axles with a 3208 cat and Allison with a wrecker boom in the bed - They pulled out mudders stuck in their bogs they made - hell of a setup. Build the trap, charge to get out of it LOL! THAT truck was a Bill Carlton piece of work. Then you had the dreamers who could stick metal together and rebuilt engines in the frame with rebuild kits from JC Whitney - But BITD, guy lived in on our street had a V8 conv- CJ5 stuffed with 44's - to this day it's still a stupid idea HAHA!

  • I don't think Bill deserves to be slandered in being grouped with Dick "Ass Monkey" Rawlings. Rawlings is a used car lot "We Finance Everyone" type of shark. Bill gets dirty, burnt, cut and sweaty as anyone. Tell me, who can recall one of these shows who didn't have problems with a manager or foreman or dept skilled dept guy go off on their own? It's happened to all of them. I'm not so sure Bill and him were exactly 2 peas in a pod and lets be real, that's a shit job between the boss, the shop and the customer. Fucked up position that's not for everyone. Didn't one of Danny Koker's guys rob him blind? maybe a fam member? I remember something bout that. IDK man, I'd like to believe what I get from Bill is genuine. Him, Joe Martin couple others, I'd like to think it's pretty close to real. They're in business and can tell you from experience, if you take money for services or products in an open market? Someone is going to sue you to try to get out of paying. The shit people think they can get away with is incredible. On the other hand, Billy Bob and his bucket of nails does not a carpenter make~ goes both ways and word of advice? Don't go cheap route, the right choice is more expensive, longer wait because they're good, not cheap. Oh hell, I've been in jail, lot of people been in jail - I was young and stupid, what's your excuse? HAHA! But now, if he laid a hand on his wife or something? Naw, that's deal breaker dude, death sentence in my book, just how momma raised me.

  • I love watching Bill and the guys work , they all seem to be very professional and they are not like other shows . That is probably why they are my fave. For instance the show with Dan and his crew were always having so much drama , I don't care for drama , I want to watch shows with content so I can learn , because I am an avid car person myself , a diyer who is good at what I do , but not to the level of these guys.Then there is that show with dogg or something in his name , the carrying on and playing around and joking all the time , is not what I want to see. I watch to learn and enjoy. So what if Bill went to visit the hooskow once or twice, I do't see where he did a whole wrong. It has'nt changed my outlook on him and his team , they are still great people with sensational skills. Keep up the good work Bill. Maybe I will be lucky enough to get one of my vehicles done by you guys one day.
