  • This is crazy! This truck was in my family for three generations! My Grandfather bought it and when he passed, it got passed to my father. My father then drove it around for years and then gave it to my brother to restore. My brother then sold it to Derek. It’s so exciting to see the truck that I shared many drives in with my dad still on the road!

    • @@72Z15SS I agree that it's up there but the Model A Ford that he drove 723 miles is a tough one to beat. This story on this truck is very good for sentimental reasons but when a 96 year old car made it 723 miles without going on the back of a toe hook, that to me is a story for the ages.

  • Your channel has become one of the few things I can count on for positivity and warmth, despite your trip here through the cold. In this crazy world full of bad news, watching you doing your thing with Bentley, surprising Jessica with her old truck - just every single VGG video really - is my antidote for all that. You make me miss my dad, when I was the youngest human he was responsible for. I want to thank you and your family for what you do, and what you have come to mean to me. • Jessica's response to finding out it was Longmire was awesome! She lit up so happy. A feller knows how to please his wife, that's for sure. I think Longmire deserves a new floor and rockers and seal it all up. Put some custom inner fenders up front and fix up on the ole' airbags, she will then be one of Jessica's best Going to Town rigs. Have a very Merry Christmas Derek and Jessica and family! God bless you all.

  • It brought a smile to my face just pretending I was in your shoes for a minute like I usually do but to see the joy and shock of receiving something that once was lost or sold and to bring it around again for a loved one is truly special as with you and your family. I hope you all had a great holiday season and look forward to you sharing more of what you do and your life with the world and thank you very much for doing so!

  • Bentley's such a trooper, and you're excellent at keeping the bad points from freaking anyone out. I could see that little bit of fear peeking into your head as things weren't going to plan out there in the cold with your boy. That just shows you're a damn good dad. Also that you've had stuff like this happen a time or two! Johnny on the spot with all the keep-warm goodies for you and the kid. Good on ya, big guy.

Thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I also hope you get some time with the family to sit back and enjoy your hard work from the past year.
