How To Grow 69 Millions Of Cucumbers In Greenhouse And Harvest - Modern Agriculture Technology

CUCUMBERS UNDER GLASS IN THE NETHERLANDS
In the Netherlands, the surface area dedicated to cucumber cultivation is more than 600 hectares. In most cases, the cultivation method used in greenhouses is the more modern “high-wire method”.
High-wire cultivation
Continuous quality production is one of the main advantages of the high-wire system. With this tying system, the crop is trained in the same way as are tomato plants: by using twine hooked to a high wire at 4 to 5 metres above the ground. When the plant grows and reaches the highest point, the twine is lowered, allowing the plant to continue to grow. Using this method, growers do not need to crop 3 or 4 times a year; twice is enough.
In the Netherlands, 2 crops a year are grown using this method. The first is planted at the beginning of the year, and the second at the start of the summer. Labour costs are slightly higher with this method, but the quality of the cucumbers is much better.

    • @@atranzjoker Not really. The soil in tropics is heavily leached. There is very little water soluble nutrients... so little nitrates, sulfates, potassium, magnesium zinc, etc. If it water soluble it is gone under 2500mm-3000mm of rain a year. Also the temperature is very high. Room temperature is easily 35 Celsius. So a green house structure that is not carefully designed to vent heat and has good airflow will quickly become an oven. Finally please note many plastics used in the west, rapidly photo-degrade (yellowing and cracking into dust) under the intense UV light of the tropic. Many also lose their physical strength due to the heat. Water system also have to well protected to prevent mosquitoes getting into them and breeding. Mosquitoes borne disease within the Indonesia region include malaria, dengue, yellow fever, Zika and chikungunya. Green house in the tropic needs to be designed to stay cool, its must be made using material that can withstand, high heat, high UV, driving rain (which is very heavy and collapse building when there is wind mixed into), keep fungus and bacteria spores out, keep insects out, and in indonesia withstand earthquakes.... and you have to provide the artificial fertilizer too because the local soil is heavily leached. AND all at a low cost.. because Indonesians really cannot afford expensive systems. The average monthly income of an indonesian farmer is equivalent to $250 USD dollars. So if your green house comes up to $10,000 USD there is no way it can be purchased by the farmer.

    • Before people go and throw out wholesomeness things like "it needs the earth for it to be good food". It doesn't. Chemistry is definitive and they give these cucumbers the most efficient amount of nutrients they require, which would be based on the best amount for production before a diminishing return occurs. A healthy plant can't be faked... it requires what it's always required.

Namun buat kami petani kecil ini mana sanggup membuat alat seperti itu apalagi harus disuruh beli. Yaa.. mungkin kalo ada sedikit rejeki atau bantuan dari kalian orang berada kami sangat menerimanya.
