World's Most Expensive Peaches - Japan Agriculture Technology - Peaches Cultivation Technique

Would you buy a $7,000 peach? A fruit so juicy, so sweet, so perfect you just don't care about the sticky nectar dribbling down your face?
When you bite into a peach, you might notice if it's sweet or tart or bland. Among farmers, this is known as Degrees Brix, and it measures the fruit's sugar content. The higher on the Brix scale, which goes up to 40, the sweeter the fruit.
Your average supermarket peach is usually somewhere between 11 and 15 Degrees Brix. In comparison, the Guinness World Records certified a peach grown in Kanechika, Japan as the world's sweetest, with a sugar content of 22.2
But on the Furuyama Fruit Farm in rural Fukushima, Koji has managed to grow a peach so sweet, it came in at a mouth-watering 32 Degrees Brix. While Koji sold that delectably sweet peach for $7,000 a few years ago

  • At this rate, everything in Japan is expensive. Even the air they breathe. 😀

  • Want the very best peaches? Plant a peach tree; when the tree starts fruiting, pick one, immediately bite it: you will eat no better. Why? As soon as a peach is picked the natural sugars in them starts to very slowly decline. Grocery store or the equivalent may taste great but never as good as those you grow yourselves.

    • bonsai'd a small lime tree for a lady friend with a sunny bay window for the plant tray . when picked right off the tree, the lime has a bouquet that only lasts two/three days. lady friend only drank in the heat of summer, gin and tonic, and a splash of lime. all the difference. store bought limes were just not the same!!!

  • Now i realized that from selecting buds to the market there are at-least 15 hands handling this beautiful fruit. Aside from admiring its delicious taste is making sure its properly washed. All the hard work each fruit receives is just wow. Amazing. But ofcourse cant afford to buy them 😅 the peaches at the store is otherwise great too. Nature has its natural way to care for its growing abundance. Great video 😊

When I lived in the Deep South, I found some of the sweetest peaches ever. The peaches from Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia are some of the best you will ever taste.

Soon, it began to die, each day I found a dry branch dead, due to the salty water of the well! Now, it remains two green branches, but I know they will die too, due to high salty water! Since then, I did not buy nor plant anything!
