DRIED FRUIT Making Process from Figs, Dates, Grape,Avocado in Factory - Dried Fruit Production 2024

2024 ж. 30 Нау.
1 600 207 Рет қаралды

Dried fruit is fruit from which the majority of the original water content has been removed either naturally, through sun drying, or through the use of specialized dryers or dehydrators. Dried fruit has a long tradition of use dating back to the fourth millennium BC in Mesopotamia, and is prized because of its sweet taste, nutritive value, and long shelf life.
Today, dried fruit consumption is widespread. Nearly half of the dried fruits sold are raisins, followed by dates, prunes, figs, apricots, peaches, apples, and pears. These are referred to as "conventional" or "traditional" dried fruits: fruits that have been dried in the sun or in heated wind tunnel dryers. Many fruits, such as cranberries, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, and mango are infused with a sweetener (e.g. sucrose syrup) prior to drying. Some products sold as dried fruit, like papaya, kiwifruit and pineapple, are most often candied fruit.

  • The fig and raisin processing footages are from my country, Türkiye. 🙂 Türkiye ranks first in the production of both raisin and (dried) fig. The main producer of dried fig and raisin is TARİŞ, Türkiye's biggest producers cooperative with more than 75,000 member farmers. -In 2020, world production of raw figs was 1.26 million tonnes, led by Turkey (with 25% of the world total), Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria as the largest producers collectively accounting for 62% of the total. -Global production of raisins in 2020-21 was 1.2 million tonnes, led by Turkey, the United States, Iran, and India as the largest producers.

    • If you take 100 ml water and dissolve 10g salt in it then whatever you do with that water those salts will not separate. If you make ice or cool it or boil the water. It would not make a difference. Same thing with fruits. No nutrient or vitamins will be added or lost. Dehydration will just make it easier to store and lighter in weight.
