Copenhagen Airport to City Centre (Don't Make This Mistake!)
How to get from CPH Airport to the city centre? It's easy! Getting from Copenhagen Airport to the city centre can take as little as 13 minutes! In this video, I'll show you exactly how to take the train and the metro and warn you about the taxis as they're costly 💸
I'm Kris - a Danish travel blogger and tour guide. I used to run my own travel agency, and I'm a massive travel-planning geek 🤓
I live in Copenhagen, so CPH Airport is the main airport I always go to. It's one of the best airports in Europe, and it's such a breeze to get the metro straight from the arrival hall to the city centre in only 13 minutes!

IMPORTANT INFO regarding the train: in this video, I state that you can get any train from platform 2 if your destination is Copenhagen Central Station. That is no longer the case - there are now a couple of trains every hour that do NOT stop at the Central Station. Most trains do, but make sure you check the screens before boarding the train 🤝
Don't excuse the old central train station for being old. That's the charm and beauty of it!
Love the positivity! I'm going there today to take a train to Funen; I'll try and look at it with fresh eyes. 🙌
I found it really beautiful. If you come to Bratislava main train station, you will understand what ugly means 😅
The Central Station has a lot of charm. Cleaner and safer than in some Belgian Railways Stations. At the end I used my CPH card during my first visit in July 2023. And the metro has easier, arrived nearly closed to the hotel 🙂
We visited Copenhagen for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and the journey to City Centre was seamless. From the airport to Norreport on the M1, and walked 2.5 blocks to our hotel. If only every city in the world was so easy to enjoy!
Love to hear stories like these 🙌
Copenhagen Central Station looks magnificent - a wonderful piece of heritage. We are going to Copenhagen tomorrow and this video was very helpful.
The City Pass is really convenient and so easy to take from the airport terminal. We would definitely say the metro but if you land at night be careful, they sometimes close the metro for a couple of hours (maintenance) and they especially don't communicate that in their app or website 😉.
Thanks! Chris. I'm taking the Metro to central station tomorrow afternoon
You’re the best brother! Thanks for this video.
Thank you 🙌
Hi there Chris(or do you write it Kris) You`ve covered what as a traveler I`d appreciate knowing when i arrive in a foreign country.Brilliant video and im looking forward to more videos, thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! That's precisely my goal with this video, so I'm incredibly thrilled about your comment. Thanks!
This is great content. I absolutely love travel vlogs. Thanks you for the tip on the taxi versus metro.New subscriber here 🇿🇼🤗🇬🇧
Thank you very much 🙏🏻
Thanks for the explanation of the metro. I followed the instructions and made it to my hotel without a problem. Even took the mandatory selfie😊. The best part of this video is that I am familiar with the metro station map on day one of vacation and feel comfortable going wherever I want now for the rest of my stay. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your comment - I LOVE that the mandatory selfie is now a thing 😆
Thanks, really detailed. I'm in love with that system... so simple, so frequent. Now, I must plan a trip! 🌟
Thank you very much! We're lucky with our many airport transport options here in Copenhagen. 🇩🇰
@@destinationwellknown Think not just lucky with the airport travel. Looks like a great place to visit.

I should have a long plane change break next month so we decided to visit Your beautiful city between the flights - the information in this video is exactly what we need, many thanks!

Thanks for the tips! Visiting next week, we are very excited!
Thank you! Have a lovely trip 🇩🇰
It seems the DOT Tickets app also is usable for visitors (no requirement for a national phone number like such apps used to have - I was able to use my Norwegian one for registering), like buying a City Pass if you are staying a few days and want the freedom to just jump on and off local transport. So even less reasons to use the ticket machines unless you want a souvenir :)
That's awesome, thanks for sharing 🙌
Really helpful video, tusind tak!

Hello Kris. This is so cool to find your video here on youtube. First Danish youtuber that I watch. Thanks for showing your beautiful Copenhagen. I have a passion for Copenhagen as I saw your town in some of Alfred Hitchcock films! I will try to watch your content. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.

Hi Chris! Thanks for this visual guide! I'll be flying into CPH with a 3.5 hour layover so I'm researching how to take the Metro toward Nyhavn via Kongens Nytorv, take selfies along the canal, and then ride back toward the airport for my onward flight to Dublin. It'll be my very first time in Denmark, ever! And it wasn't even supposed to happen, but SAS unceremoniously modified my layover (was ARN, now CPH). And I thought well actually, I might like the change!
I hope you'll enjoy your (short) time in CPH 😎🇩🇰
Very good ideas for a avoid the expensive unnecessary. Thank you so much mi friend.

Not well known, you can buy an all zones, 24-hrs ticket. I believe it's DKK120 now, and with that you can go anywhere East of Roskilde and West of Øresund. It's cheaper than buying two tickets for all zones, if you're taking a round trip to the end of the railroad...
Hi, I also lived in Copenhagen but this Metro option is only good if you do not have luggage. Then it's recomended otherwise I will always prefer to take taxi as it is easy to take and at right on my door I will be in 20 minutes without any hactic of rolling my luggage all the way. Thanks
Thank you for these videos. You do a great job. I’ll be in Copenhagen for 3 days. I was planning on using public transport. Would it be worth it to get the Rejsekort card for a few days or just pay each trip?
Very useful indeed thanks.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Great video! Thanks a lot..

Thanks for sharing, I land on Wednesday!

I went to Copenhagen about 7 years ago from London. The area around the ticket machines was a total mess with building work but there were plenty of assistants on hand who spoke English to help me. I took the train, no delays, and my hotel was about 5 minutes walk from the central station so it was a short and easy trip. If go again, I'd like to try the metro but it may depend on where my hotel is. You should also mention the Blue Planet Aquarium near the airport. Maybe the metro wasn't build when I was there becasue I had to take quite a long bus ride to get there but looking just now, there is a metro stop fairly close by
Yes, there's been a massive upgrade in the airport regarding the ticket machines; now it's a breeze. Whether the train or the metro is the best option is surely down to hotel-location. Good shout! Thanks for your comment.
Thank you so much, this is really helping me planning my solo trip to Copenhagen! I just have two questions, so i will be arriving after 9pm, and i wanted to go to the central station. Does both Metro and Train pass directly? And when you say that the train delays, it's for just a couple of minutes of couple of ''long minutes'' as in hours?😂 Here in Portugal it's the latter for almost all transports except the metro (which is underground!) Thank you so much!
Thank you! For the Central Station, the easiest way is the train that goes directly from the airport to København H (Copenhagen Central Station). Don't worry TOO much about delays - if the train is delayed, it's usually only a few minutes. Definitely not hours! As it's a very busy stretch with numerous trains every hour.
Hi Namaste 🙏🏻..... Nice video n information..... Make more on other subject too 👍🏾

@@destinationwellknown I’m going in July for my birthday by myself I’m Nervous but my hotel told me to get the train and get off at the 3rd stop thank you for the help or maybe I can say Tak 🙂🇩🇰🇬🇧
Thank you for your video! Extremely helpful. My husband and I will be in Copenhagen late September for a 7 hour layover. Now that we watched the video, we know to take the metro. We have 7 hours in Copenhagen. How do you suggest we spend our time, including having some local food.
Hi Joseph. Thank you very much! Depending on the time of the day you're here, I'd recommend taking the metro to Nørreport, where you'll find Torvehallerne, a food market hall. Get some food there and then walk through the Inner City to Rundetårn (The Round Tower), go up there and get an epic view of the city. From there, you can go to Nyhavn, enjoy the scenery, and jump on a canal cruise for 1 hour. Perhaps get some more food/coffee/drinks and then get the metro back to the airport from Kongens Nytorv. Hope that helps 🇩🇰
that is a great help! @@destinationwellknown We land at 10am and leave at 6pm

Thanks a lot - love getting feedback like this and I love helping fellow travellers 🙌 You can get the C and H s-trains to Ballerup from Nørreport, CPH Central Station and a lot of other downtown stations. It takes about 30 mins from Central Copenhagen ✌🏻

Hi, Thanks for all the information you provided in the video, its of great help. I have a quick question, I have a 6 hours layover at Copenhagen and I was thinking of visiting Nyhavn, is there a luggage storage on the airport where I can just drop my bags visitn Nyhavn, come back pick the bags up and continue my journey?
Thanks! Yes, there is. You'll find it in the Parking area P4 - there's more info here: www.cph.dk/en/practical/baggage/luggage-deposit Have a nice trip 🇩🇰
@@destinationwellknown thank you so much!!!
If on your way to the hotel with luggage than I would recommend taking a taxi
Thanks souvh gor this video. Looks like the Metro would work for me. ?Is it close to the Central train station in the city centre as Im meeting a friend there. Also, i need a nice hotel suggestion that is quiet near the central train station. Also, i have 1 full day to see the city and surrounding area and looking for suggestions. I found an all day tour on Viator that may be interesting. Thanks for any suggestions.
Great information thanks. I’m going to have a 5hr layover in Copenhagen on my way to Munich, is that enough time to take a walk around and maybe get something to eat?
Thanks! Yes, it is - get the metro to Kongens Nytorv and then you're basically in Nyhavn :)
Would love your opinion on the city card. I’ve got Sunday afternoon to Wednesday midday to fill with culture and fun. Is it worth it just for attractions as I’m a bit of a walker and wanderer. Thanks
Hi Chris, great video, very informative! So in February, I’ll be flying home to nyc from Zurich, with an overnight layover in Copenhagen, (flying sas) because I am coming from Zurich, if I wanted to leave the airport, would I have to exit into foreign customs during my layover or would that be a domestic entrance? Also, is there much to do in Copenhagen at 22:30? If so what do you recommend ?! Any info is much appreciated! Thanks!
Hey. If you're arriving at CPH from Zurich, you should land in the domestic/EU-Schengen Area part of the airport, which means you're free to exit the airport without showing your passport or doing any customs stuff. I'm afraid there's not much to do in Copenhagen at that time of day apart from going to bars/clubs. Maybe during Summer, but it's too cold in February to do anything outside.
We are coming to Copenhagen for the first time for a cruise out of the cruise terminal what is the best way to get their transit or train. We were thinking to pre-order a cab just because of ease and we have a very long delay at the airport from the night before to the cruise ship
Studied here back in the early 2010s and remember being totally confused at CPH with the bewildering to foreigners klippkort system. But alas, the friendliness of Danish folks there never failed us as we were guided by strangers all the way to Lyngby.
lol well it was a bit weird
Haha oh yes - even I (as a Dane) was confused by the old school "klippekort" to be honest 😅
Awww, that is awesome to hear.
Excellent video many thanks. We are travelling soon to CPH and staying at the Tivoli Hotel. Looks like you would recommend the train from CPH to city centre rather than metro. How would we get from central station to the Tivoli? Is it walkable? We have large cases with us.
Thank you 🙌 Yes, the train is your best bet here. So, the Tivoli Hotel is only around 1 km from the Central Station; just be sure to take a LEFT when exiting the train (the direction away from the main station building) as that will save you 5 mins if you walk. Here's a map that shows where you'll be if you take a left on the platform: maps.app.goo.gl/p6z5W5L8XsM8WYxbA So, that's a 14-minute walk. Another option is to walk up via the main central station building, take a right and then exit to the bus stops where you can catch bus 7A in the direction 'Sjælør Station'. The bus ride would only be 3 mins, and your stop is called "Tivoli Hotel". Your ticket (that you used on the train) is also valid on the bus, and you don't have to show it to the driver; just hop on, and if there's an inspector, you just show it to him. This is the same bus I take to get from the station and home, and it's rarely full, so even with suitcases, it should be fine. I think it runs every 5-10 minutes. Here's the bus stop on Google Maps: maps.app.goo.gl/otiGQ6HPMP649b9E8 Hope that helps - let me know if you're unsure about anything 🤝
Hi there. Hoping you can advise. I made a mistake when visiting last time of getting an incorrect ticket from the airport based on zones and got a fine. Do you now just need to put end station to avoid this issue?
What is best for us , we are staying at Cabinn hotel city centre so would it be the Train or Metro
Dear chris kindly make an video for bus travelling from Copenhagen airport to Norrebro or other major spots.
I wouldn't take a bus from the airport to Nørrebro. You can take the metro to Kongens Nytorv and change to the circle line that runs to Nørrebro Station - the total travel time here is only around 30 minutes. You could take the 5C bus directly from the airport to Nørrebro, but it'd take about 1 hour. This is, however, the slowest route into town, and the traffic can be pretty bad.
Copenhagen trainstation is a historic station dated back to 1847. Looking at the scale of how many people going trough this great hall visiting Copenhagen, i'd like everybody watching this, exhale and wonder. Wonder about how they this wonderfull building was build in the late 1900 century. It is the only way we ignorant people of today, has a chance to see what history made possible. Just stop for 5 seconds. Look up, all handmaid. That is what exploration is about.
Very good point, actually!
The best option is the heavy rail trains. The metro is overcrowded, and the 5C bus line has terrible comfort and ride quality, and is also overcrowded, should be a light rail.
Actually the current is not from 1847. The current station was built in 1911 after Denmark had greatly expanded it's railnetwork
Thanks for your video. I’m curious to know is there are elevators at the stations? 😅 just for people carrying big bags
There is ✌️
Ikke alle tog fra spor 2 kører via KBH H mere. Der er nu tog direkte til Høje Taastrup, Roskilde og Slagelse via, men uden stop på, Ny Ellebjerg.
Ja, det opdagede jeg desværre først efter upload. Tak for kommentaren!
Pretty good stuff, I just have some extra tips and corrections that might be useful. So if you're going into Copenhagen then AVOID THE TRAIN TO SLAGELSE! Not many people know about this, but recently a new train line was introduced which runs only once every hour from Copenhagen Airport to Slagelse. This train completely bypasses downtown Copenhagen, running non stop from Ørestad on the southern end of Amager, to Høje Taastrup, a transit hub at the edge of the suburbs. So be sure you avoid any train saying Slagelse on it. Secondly, you can actually as a tourist get your own Travelcard if you're for instance staying for a few days and will be using transit periodically, like not enough to warrant Citypass daytickts, or maybe wanting more flexibility. At machines like the one in the middle of the corridor at 4:24, you can actually get your own Travel card. It requires a 50kr deposit to be preloaded onto the card, but after that you receive your very own card and can benefit from the discounted ticket prices that come with it. Just be sure to load enough money onto it that you don't run out mid journey, which can be done at the same machines. If you use the Travel card though, be sure you tap check out at the end of your trip but only the very end. The way it works is you hold it on the Blue check in orbs when starting your trip, as well as tap it on check in orbs for every time you transfer to another bus, train, or metro line. And only at the end you tap it at the check out orb and your fare will be calculated. That way if you for instance take a 3 zone trip with a transfer in the middle, you pay for one 3 zone ticket rather than two separate 2 zone tickets. And with the Rejsekort, that can be the difference between 23 kroner and 33 kroner so theres a lot of money to be saved there.
Thanks a lot for your comment! I just checked, and you're right about the train to Slagelse - I had never heard of this or seen it at the station. Great info, thanks! You're also totally right about the Travel Card. I deliberately left that info out of this video as I didn't want to make our confusing public transport ticket options seem even more complicated for tourists who are just here for a few days. But perhaps that's an idea for another video. Thanks for your super helpful comment 🙌
I'm quite familiar with Denmark, but I think that the airport trains can be confusing to tourists as to which trains actually go via the city centre. At least they only seem to go as far as Østerport now, whereas before they used to go to Nivå and Helsingør, as if any foreigners will know where that is! Heck, even Østerport and København H on the destination board would stump some tourists who don't do their research.
Also I would not really recommended Rejsekort/travel card for short-term tourists. The anonymous cards, the only real choice for tourists, cost 80 kroner and require a 70 kroner minimum balance, and that's per traveller. This goes up to a whopping 600 kroner should you wish to travel outside of Sjælland. Yes you can get this balance refunded (apparently), and yes, a trip on this card is cheaper than buying a single ticket, but in my eyes, with the high amount of trips a tourist might make, and with all the hassle involved with getting and using a Rejsekort, you're better off getting a City Pass if you're only visiting for ~a week.
I always walking, because weri Nice the way between Airport tű city center!
That's a long walk, but fair enough 😀
Yes, when I lived in Copenhagen I often did it (not to the the centre, but to my flat close to Lergravsparken metro station on Amager). And I liked the way, sometimes along "Amager Strand", sometimes more inland close to metro.
Can i have advise on getting to Scandic Kodbyen hotel as it looks like I might need two trains. Unsure of which station to change at?
Sure! I'd take the train to the Central Station and take the exit on your left (when you get up from the train tracks). From there, it's only a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Otherwise, you could also change to the S-train at the Central Station (you can take the A, B, C, E or H train) and take it 1 stop to Dybbølsbro St and walk 5 minutes to the hotel. Hope this helps :)
Thank you. I have a question, though about the ticket that you bought from the machine. Is it good for both the train and metro, or must you specify that when you buy the ticket?
Cheers! The ticket works for both the metro and the train, it's the same price too.
@@destinationwellknown Thank you.
do you think a 5 hour layover is enough time to get to the city center and explore for a bit?
Thanks a lot for this, super helpful. I have two specific questions. Firstly, how is the connection over to Malmo? If you're spending some days with basically everything in Malmo, is it better to find somewhere cheaper near the airport, or something more expensive but in the centre of Copenhagen. The most important thing is the length of the journey. The second question is about night timetables - does the train connection run all through the night, and does that also include trains from Malmo across to Copenhagen city or airport? Thanks again
Hi Chris. Thank you very much. The connection to Malmö is brilliant. It's basically like Malmö is part of Greater Copenhagen, and I think there have even been talks to include Malmö in our metro network. So it's straightforward to get from CPH to Malmö - the train I'm showing you here is the one that goes to Malmö (just in the opposite direction). It takes only 20 minutes from CPH Airport to Triangeln Station in Malmö (and 25 minutes to Malmö Centralstation, the main station). There are trains (around) every 20 minutes during the day. From 01 there's only an hourly train running through the night. And then from 05 they run every 20 minutes again. But please check the timetable for your dates - Google Maps works well. If you spend most of your time in Malmö, why not stay there? Hotels are way cheaper than in Copenhagen and there are some great ones. Elite Plaza is nice.
@@destinationwellknown That's super, thanks a lot! Honestly, I'm looking at the weekend of 9-12th May next year and Malmo accommodation is sold out :) Eurovision. And anything that comes available is super expensive, so Copenhagen is a better option that weekend, and the airport is overall the cheapest option. I just wasn't sure about the connections to Malmo as Swedish friends and others who have been there all said it took ages from Copenhagen airport. But this is much clearer, thanks a lot!
@chrismackin427 Ooooh I see! Then I'd probably recommend staying in the actual city of Copenhagen as the train also leaves from Nørreport Station and Copenhagen Central Station. Unless you literally will go from hotel room to Malmö then it'd be a bit more interesting for you to stay in the city centre vs near the airport where there's nothing to do.
Im an Italian born Sri Lankan that lives in Milan and I can confirm you that the metro in Copenhagen is managed by Milan ATM transport company and the trains in metro are the same of the M4 and M5 line in milan
Cool! Thanks for sharing 🤝
Had to use taxi in early 2019 because of taring down a postal building near the tracks.
How did you find the experience?
Metro or train, depending on where i Copenhagen you're staying. Taxis are insanely expensive in Denmark.
I'm planning a trip to Copenhagen and intend to take a train to Stockholm on January 1st. Will the transportation be available during the Christmas holidays? What's the operating schedule on December 31st, and can someone please provide me with this information? I've been unable to find it online, and I really need to know.
Hey there. You can check all Danish train and bus schedules at Rejseplanen.dk - rejseplanen.dk/webapp/?language=en_EN#!P|TP!histId|0!histKey|H65970 They haven't released the train times for the train to Stockholm yet. I could only find up until the 8th of December. So check again in a couple of weeks, and you should be able to book.

Hi, I'll be flying from Zurich to Manchester by SAS, I have 5.5hr layover at Copenhagen airport (baggage checked thru) would it be possible for me to exit airport n spend abt 1 hr in Copenhagen city center? Many tks in advance for any kind advice🙏🏻
Where do you buy the metro ticket from? Is there any option for any open return ticket as well? Also is it the same machine you buy the train ticket from? Many thanks.
Hi Paul. I'm buying the ticket after 1:22 in the video. That ticket is valid on (either) the metro, train or bus in Copenhagen. You'll need a 3-zone ticket to the city centre from the airport. So there is no option for a return ticket - a 3 zones ticket costs 30 kroner in both directions. Hope this helps 🙌
@@destinationwellknown good morning. This is really helpful of you to reply so soon! Will bare that in mind for sure. Many thanks again.
The ticket only valid to central station or include a change/ connect to another metro line for ur destination? Thnx
It includes connections in the zone you're in. So, for example, you can use the regional train to the central station and change to the metro or a bus there (on the same ticket).

Great stuff...soon I will be purchasing a Copenhagen card on the app but I need to activate it from the airport upon arrival and going to city central on the train - where/how do I need to activate please?
Hi there. If you're buying the CPH Card in the app, you must activate it in the app. Here's the info from their website: "If you purchase through the website you will receive an order number in your email. To redeem the card in the app you enter the order number. The card(s) will then appear ready for activation. If you purchase through the app the card will appear immediately - ready for activation. Please remember to activate your card before entering an attraction/public transport. The hours start counting from time of activation."
@@destinationwellknown yup, I found this information afterwards! ...thank you.

That is 3 zones. You can see that kind of info on this website: rejseplanen.dk/webapp/?language=en_EN#!P|TP!histId|0!histKey|H551696
is it possible to get from the airport to the center after paying only 5€ because it says that I have to pay 25€ What route should I choose to travel cheaply?
Hmm, that sounds weird. What website/app are you using to get those prices? The price for a ticket from CPH Airport to the city centre is 30 DKK, around 4 euros. I'm showing how to purchase this ticket in the video.
Generally in copenhagen would you suggest a travel card or everywhere is walkable
If you're staying in the city centre, I wouldn't recommend it as you can walk to most places. Copenhagen is relatively small compared to other European capitals.

Anywhere in the city centre ✌️
We are going back to Denmark after 31 years. I have made a reservation for a car rental. Could you recommend it or will it be better to ride on trains? We are spending 10 days.
That would depend greatly on what you want to do/see while you're here?
Nyc can learn a lot from this. Kennedy is too convoluted with an air train and going to jamaica vs this.
Oh yes, it's such a hassle getting from JFK to Manhattan and taxis/Uber etc are sooo expensive 😱
Nice video. Maybe a little unfair to describe the Copenhagen TAXIs as extraordinary expensive. Compared to train, metro and bus, yes it is expensive. But I travel frequently in the US, and I find the TAXIs as expensive over there. In Denmark we don't tip the driver, and the taxis are nice and clean and well maintained and you always can use your credit card. In the US you have to tip the driver a considerably percentage of the fare, and taxis are not always that clean and well maintained...
Fair point - thanks for your comment 🙏🏻
Sorry is it 90 mins means you can use all method of transpotation in CPH from airport in just a single ticket?
Yes, a 4-zone ticket is valid for 105 minutes. If you're going further "away" from the airport, you'd need a ticket with more zones.
i should bring a coat in april? going next week
Sorry I missed this! Hope you had a great time in CPH.
Need to get to wake up hotel Bernstoffsgrade - best way please
Train to Central St and then just walk the last 5 min 🤝
Hi, would I be able to buy train ticket by using cash?
Yes, some of the ticket machines take cash, but only coins. So if you've got notes, you can try and break them in one of the shops in the arrival area :)
Do trains and metros operate 24/7 from the airport?
Yes. The metro runs every 7-8 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays between 1 and 7 in the morning. At night between 00-05 on Sunday-Thursday, they run every 20 minutes. The trains aren't 24/7, but there are a few Intercity-trains at night. This website has all the train times: www.rejseplanen.dk/webapp/?language=en_EN
The all-night public transport is really one of the things I miss from Greater Copenhagen (I live in Amsterdam now and the last metro is at one... Really had to get used to that!)
@@meisjeViv Yes, it's fantastic! Every major European city should have 24/7 public transport, in my opinion.
Hi, whats the best way to get to the cruise port from the airport?
Hi there. As there are 3 different cruise ports in Copenhagen, I need to know the name of your cruise ship/operator, please.

@@D6229 As far as I can see, it sails from Oceankaj (Ocean Quay), but I'm not sure (so please check your booking). You take the metro to Kongens Nytorv and change to the M4-line towards Orientkaj. It takes 7 mins from Kongens Nytorv to Orientkaj, where you get off and walk up to the bus 164 towards Oceankaj. The bus takes 9 minutes until it arrives in Oceankaj. The total journey time is around 1 hour. Hope this helps ✈
@@D6229 Just checked. Like Kris said, you take the M2 metro line from Copenhagen Airport to Kongens Nytorv. There you change to the M4 metro line to Orientkaj. Be sure you get on the right train though, since it shares the platform with another line. Once at Orientkaj though, take the line 25 bus. This is a special bus route running on select days when cruise ships are in port, working as a shuttle between the Cruise terminal and the Metro line. And it runs on August 23rd, when you're travelling. It'll depart Orientkaj station every 10-20 minutes. It should be just a 3 zone journey so about 30kr.
@@destinationwellknown Thank you, much appreciated. We arrive at the airport around 0830hrs. ship leaves 1600hrs. We go on board around 13-14.oohrs so we do have time to get to the Oceankaj. Is there a bus service from the airport to Oceankaj? As I said we do have time, no rush
Copenhagen airport is a nightmare - a huge area of shops, bars etc with no obvious way out. I could even find a information office. Copenhagen central station's the same.
Sadly trains don't/didn't drive all night, as we needed going to Cph. Airport to and from Taastrup, so we had to take an, at least Politically Correct, EV Taxi, when going home! For a lot of money!!! My wife is Handicapped so we normally use an inexpensive, Danish "Special Handicap Transport" (For the price of a bus, or train ticket), but our plane from Malta became delayed, so we missed our Pre-ordered Taxi and it was gone when coming home during late evening! We could have taken the Metro to CPH, and a Taxi from there, which may have saved a little?
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that - that sounds like a bad start to the trip to Copenhagen! You could have taken the metro or train to Central Station and then the S-Train to Taastrup.
The currency conversion to US dollars seems terribly wrong. Thanks for the info anyway
