Big Seal Freed From Carabiner Hook

The OCN rescuers get more than they bargained for - instead of 2 entangled seals, they find 3 big seals with plastic rubbish around their necks. The first female is freshly entangled in a piece of rope held together by a carabiner hook - a very unusual kind of entanglement. The second seal is not so lucky, his fishing line entanglement has already cut into his flesh and caused a lot of pain and weight loss. Seal patient #3 is again a much easier rescue - with one snip, a piece of rope is cut off his neck and he is free to go back to the ocean, unaware of the danger he was in.
We are only able to do three simultaneous rescues of big seals because we have been able to purchase enough big nets with your help. Thank you! 🦭
