You can think about Devon whatever you want. But vs Hutchings second round he went from deep inside, to kings move (all the way outside), back to inside, back to outside and finished inside with a press. That is technical diversity - during a match - that currently does not exist at the top level of this sport.
Evgeny Prudnik can do that too. It exists at the top level of the sport. In the lower divisions more so than at heavyweight. Technical ability in the lower divisions is of a higher standard in general.

I was brought back to the sport because of Devon.. I watched John B. the legend for years dominate the league.. Didn't watch any matches again for years until 2001 I think? That's when I saw this dude from Canada everybody was talking about. I saw Devon losing in a position from just inches away from being pinned & he held his arm steady & I watched this man slowly work his way back & wear out multiple opponents to come back & PIN them when even the announcers were sure he was gonna lose.. I was hooked from that moment watching Devon do incredible things against the Top guys in the sport over the years. His endurance is LEGENDARY & his raw strength is Amazing .. I've been watching him ever since & cheering the dude on cause of the way he brought confidence & excitement to the sport that I had never seen before... ✌🏽
His technique is sublime. He's gone against guys way stronger but his technique along with his intelligence is unmatched.

Watched arm wrestling as a kid back in the 70’s on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. I’ll never forget watching a live match where one guy broke another guy’s arm. The tournament was live so nothing was censured. His forearm was flat on the table but his elbow joint was still pointing up. Crazy stuff.

That match should have stopped a long time before todd got pinned, their own rules state the competing shoulder must not drop below the level of the elbow pad, it did atleast twice maybe more during the 1st fall.
