Lyrics:
What on earth am I meant to do?
In this crowded place there is only you
Was gonna leave now I have to stay
You have taken my breath away
Oh, is the world still spinning around (spinning around)?
Oh, I don't feel like coming down
It's in your eyes
I can tell what you're thinking
My heart is sinking too
It's no surprise
I've been watching you lately
I want to make it with you
Destiny has a funny way
When it comes and takes all your cares away
I can't think of a single thing
Other than what a beautiful state I'm in
Oh, is the world still spinning around (spinning around)?
Oh, I don't feel like coming down
It's in your eyes
I can tell what you're thinking
My heart is sinking too
It's no surprise
I've been watching you lately
I want to make it with you
[Bridge]
(With you, with you, with you, with you)
Want to make it with you
(With you, with you, with you, with you)
Oh, is the world still spinning around (spinning around)?
Oh, I don't feel like coming down
It's in your eyes
I can tell what you're thinking
My heart is sinking too
It's no surprise
I've been watching you lately
I want to make it with you
It's in your eyes
I can tell what you're thinking
My heart is sinking too
It's no surprise
I've been watching you lately
I want to make it with you
It's in your eyes

  • I've been rediscovering Kylie these recent months. And just WOW. A lot of her work holds up on so many levels. The production, the melody, the sound design, the vocals, the videos - it all works so well. It even fits in with the "modern pop", but is actually much better. It's catchier, more engaging and even saucier. Just wow.

    • I've been a musician (California, USA) basically my whole life (55yo), and I never thought to give Kylie Minogue a listen, though I'd heard of her in the beginning. I think it's true what many say, that for some reason she didn't get widespread recognition in the States. Maybe we judged her by her earliest stuff and just didn't pay attention after that? From what I've listened to, her early songs are okay to good, but were probably overshadowed by Madonna and such and we didn't watch her evolve through the 90's and 2000's and on. Well, I'd like her to know that some of us finally found her, and are very happy at this awesome discovery. And the new album, Disco, is fabulous. It has wonderful energy and so effortlessly creates really great feelings in body and soul. Grateful for her work and sharing her beautiful spirit. I've been telling people that I've been listening to Kylie Minogue and you should see the reactions I get. People - lifetime musicians - literally have no clue what she's done. Haha, maybe I can open some eyes :)

  • This has got to be the most underrated pop video and song of all time. This is 21 years old and has aged like a fine wine. This video does not look out of place in 2022 and would still be an example of how to produce a modern pop video. As for the song itself, top class pop song extremely well executed. Again still setting the standard in 2022. It takes you back into a certain headspace reflecting on being in this scenario. It's 10/10 all around from me and like I've already mentioned has aged like a fine wine. Vintage!

Such catchy music, being able to hit really high notes into her 50s, evolving over four or so decades and various styles, and putting out music videos with such striking art direction, dance choreography, and wardrobe designs...goodness! @skurinski@skurinski8 жыл бұрын
    • +andreskizzo It could have been a hit. In Your Eyes reached #11 in Canada (single sales). However, Capitol Records in America decided to release Can't Get You Outta My Head in February 2002, six months after its initial release. By then, In Your Eyes was already making waves on music charts worldwide leaving out the US of this single release. Capitol then released Love at First Sight as her next single to be on pace with her future releases.

    • Yeah but Some of old "futuristic" videos look like a plastic joke - this was futuristic and really forward thinking - who wanted a simple looking video back then like Can't Get You Out Of My Head was?

      @Powhart@Powhart8 жыл бұрын
    • I totally agree, i love the "futuristic concept" videos from the late 90's and early 2000's but some of them look ridiculous, on the other hand, the Fever era videos are still looking amazing, this one specially, it could be one of those "aesthetic" videos who have tumblr kids obsessed, in a good way of course, the video is amazing.
