1999's "Sing It Back" was a worldwide dancefloor smash for Moloko after it was remixed by Boris Dlugosch hitting no.4 on the UK chart. This version(Boris Musical Mix Edit) has appeared on hundreds of compilations in the two decades since its release. Original version appears on the album "I Am Not A Doctor". Its beautiful and timeless video was directed by Dawn Shadforth.

  • Man, late 90's-early 2000's music has such a unique charm. To me it feels like I'm watching a dream. That era of music felt optimistic, friendly and energetic without being too wild, and the tunes were catchy without getting old. I'm a 90's baby, so music I heard as a little kid will always stick with me. My own personal time machine back to easier times.

    • I totally agree with you sexy guy.! I used to dance my ass off to this song at backstreet in Atlanta aka hotlanta. Those days were so awesome. I once enter that club on a Friday and then not leave until Sunday.! It was a rule once you enter you couldn’t leave. Mainly because it was so damn many people trying to enter but more pimportantly everyone love the music.

    • Yes that is true. The thing is that what made me come back to this is Doja cat hit “say so”. Once I heard her hit it reminded me of Moloko song. I was like that the same type of hit like it’s the same energy same rythm stuff like that. But anyway moloko hit my childhood though.

Public also but it’s mainly if there’s one of my adult kids w we it’s me, as they get embarrassed and I do not. Usually in the supermarket, if Molokai or Goldfrapp on my playlist I love dancing through the fruit aisle, I then check the colour in their cheeks, if it’s the same as the cherries it’s all good, if not I need robust more moves. It’s my yardstick 🤣🤣🤣🤣

But just like most songs in the 90's, most notably dance/club, you didn't know who the artist was, unless the song become commercialized. However, a lot of us didn't care, we only cared about how good the music was!

  • Love this song. In those years, the song was constantly playing on the radio. For some reason this song always reminds me of the holidays. On Sunday, a warm smell of cookies would come from the kitchen and we would chat with my father. Afterwards, the family would eat cookies with milk. When the family chat was over, I would run out and look at the newly released CDs in the music stores. I miss the 90s so much. Now, I'm 39 years old.
