  • Bought the Touring version and had the bike for two weeks now. Incredible machine. I come from an old Yamaha TDM and this is a whole different gameplay. If you are doubting, don't! Yesterday I said to myself, "I'll just go for a short ride", came back 1 hour and 40 minutes later... You don't want to get off!

  • great video. I’ve been stewing over what mid size adventure bike to buy. I didn’t want to spend big dollars on a KTM 890 which then needs all its software activated for more $$. The Yamaha T7 is cheeper but has no software to speak of, then there’s all the other brands. BMW F800, Honda Africa Twin all cost over $25000. You then need luggage added. When I saw the CF Moto 800 MT touring with all the options for $14500 ride away, then another $2000 for the set of hard panniers. I was sold. I only got to ride one around a car park that was enough for me to put my order in. It’s coming in March. I can’t wait.

  • When people are wanting $10k for 10 year old XTZ660’s, these cfmoto’s are going to sell buy the bucket load. Given it has a 790 engine it’s a better bike than KTM’s own standard 790 adventure that costs more, has less on it and a year less warranty than the cfmoto.

There’s the usual comments about 5 years down the road but I don’t think there’ll be any issues from what I’ve seen so far. • Sooo, after a test ride, I only have a couple of minor issues with the bike. Firstly, the throttle is VERY snatchy. Secondly, a much more minor issue is the indicator switch. It has no 'feel' as to whether you've activated it or not so I was constantly looking down at the dash to see if i had indeed turned it on, AND to see if I had cancelled it. Small complaint, but nonetheless, annoying for something so simple to rectify. I think I would also buy a 'screen extension'/ luminar lip. Other than that, excellent value for money.

  • I am very impressed. Never thought much about Chinese products. But this bike looks really good. KTM 790 engine etc. Some things like cruise control I can do without it. Riding a bike not driving a car. I own a 2014 Suzuki Vstrom 1000 right now and looking for another. Perhaps the 1050XT, BMW f850gs, Moto Guzzi v85tt and now.....CFMoto. never thought it might come to that. If the bike is available in my country I will certainly give it a look. I only wondering how the bike behaves at a durability test and how the quality looks like if the bike has 50 or 60.000 km on the clock. But I will not lie. It looks good.

  • I've never thought of CF Moto as serious ride until I saw your videos. Well done What a hard choice to make now , Royal Enfield 650, Benelli TRK or CF Moto 700/800, as there's only a couple of grand difference between them all , and I,m like you guys in the aged like smooth whiskey category. Its those pesky Demo rides, its like trying different boutique beers, never quite know when to finish and make that decision in which one you really like. Cheers from NZ.

My local dealer (35 minutes) is waiting till next year to add the motorcycle lineup. I’m not sure the 800mt has been released to the US yet, but hopefully soon.

    • They’ve only just really entered the US market whereas they’ve been here… I would say really 10 years as a main option. They go back a lot further, but yeah, 2013/2014 was when they really started popping up all around with their low cc bikes and they started to really take off a couple of years later. The brand has grown gang busters in the last 5 years though and their bikes have come on super fast. Looking at how hard they’re now targeting the west I would think it won’t be too long in the US before they start popping up everywhere there too - my impression in Australia is the dealers are getting a much bigger cut selling cfmotos than Honda or Yamaha’s because everytime I go in a dealer that does cfmoto and others they always say ‘oh come check out the cfmoto’

  • Very impressive bike in terms of features, fit and finish, and especially value for money. Consider that most of those features are expensive option packages on most other marques playing in this mid size adventure bike field. Also consider that most motorcycles are CAD/CAM manufactured and provided quality control is top notch, there's going to be little difference in materials and build quality no matter in which country the bike is made. It might take some time for CF Moto to achieve brand 'status' enjoyed by the Japanese big four, or the likes of BMW/KTM/Moto Guzzi etc - however just as the Japanese before them effectively wiped out the then British motorcycle industry by providing bikes that were better featured, arguably better made, and at cheaper prices, so CF Moto could be set to seriously upset the market in favour of greater competition leading to better and cheaper bikes for everyone. And given that how niche motorcyling has become, and how many cost more than a brand new quality car, that can only be a good thing.

    • I have to say this about CF moto, our shop has been selling their ATV's and UTV's for a few years and we've sold a lot of them. Hardly any problems especially for the abuse they get in our desert climate. many customers are ranchers who use them daily and families who let kids and in laws use them, and outside of crash and abuse damage, overall the drivelines are very reliable. Parts and support haven't been an issue either. We're finally getting some of their bikes in, annoyingly they're not bringing the 800 at least this year. I don't like the CCP and I've seen my share of disposable motorcycles from China, but I'm also old enough to remember when people said the same about Japanese bikes. So far CF moto has done a remarkable job, lets see what they have to offer, I don't care what people ride so long as they do ride. One shop I was with for 10 years took on KTM at our other dealership and they couldn't even get oil filters. I know CF will at least be able to supply parts!
