Chakras & the Vagus Nerve: WHAT YOU MUST KNOW NOW! to Heal Trauma AND Improve Soul Awareness

C.J. Llewelyn's journalism career gave her frontline experience with tragedy. Having seen spirit as a child, over time she recognized that supporting the healing of human beings on the psychological level is what opens us to being able to connect spiritually.
The psychological IS the spiritual. A practitioner of Family Systems therapy, EMDR, and Reiki, C.J. has published a remarkable book, "Chakas and the Vagus Nerve," a must-read primer for anyone who wants to discover how to tap into the healing combination of the subtle energy centers and the nervous system. Understanding the vagus nerve and how it relates to the chakra system enables us to recognize AND PROCESS trauma that would otherwise stand in the way of our clear connection to spirit!

  • Re: the physicist who needs proof... Acupuncture points are actually tiny chakras on their own. They connect to the larger network of energy channels and greater chakras. The acupuncture points have a different electrical potential on the surface of the skin than "off point." This is quantifiable! The point your guest danced around is that these energy centers (located at specific points along the spinal cord) "inform" the nervous system much like any other sensory organ does. And, since the Vagus nerve runs from the brain to the feet, it communicates with all 7 energy centers.

  • IMMEDIATE RELIEF can be achieved through polyvagal exercises - this is one: while lying on your back, interlock your fingers and place your hands behind your skull, then, without moving your head, look at a side for +60 seconds. When you get a sigh and your breathing becomes slow means it's working. You can do it in other postures, experiment. Other info: Holotropic breathing is probably the most effective technique for trauma release. Probably too intense for some people, though. Hypnosis is underrated. Binaural beats do work. And if you want a soft, yet deep technique, try shavasana - just lie down on a hard enough surface(so that your muscles relax and that you won't sleep), accept your sensations continuously and don't move for an hour or two. During that time you can also do the polyvagal exercises for the eyes, although there is benefit to be completely with your body. Love.

There are other ways to detach from trauma and trauma response etc nowadays. Keep searching! A good book to start from (with information) is Bessel van der Kolk's "the body keeps the score".

  • dearest suzanne-since you have been such an outstanding teacher for me i thought i might offer up an interesting tidbit for those who like to do their own research. we often crave sugar (especially dark chocolate because it is high in magnesium!) to attract the very thing we are most in need of. it takes a tremendous amount of magnesium to process sugar in our bodies -the ratio is outstanding once you understand the concept. when we take in supplemental magnesium say at 400 MG (milligrams) but eat sugar (chocolate will often have 7 G (grams) we often end up depleting magnesium in our bodies. 1 gram = 1,000 mg. so if you eat a piece of chocolate with 7,000 mg of sugar but take in 400 mg of supplemental magnesium we will always end up short. taking in more magnesium (always best to eat rich food sources as supplements are just that-supplemental to our diet if our diet is lacking). the most important detail (the attention and intention is often in the details) is to reduce the sugar so we are not robbing ourselves of the magnesium we get from real foods. sugar is not a food it is actually an anti-nutrient (something that takes more away from our body than it gives). if we focus our attention on increasing our magnesium often our sugar cravings go away. hope this helps and many blessings to all who struggle with sugar cravings.

She wrote a book called 'Your Quantum Break-Through Code' which she believes was channeled to her in a dream. A gift from Spirit that utilised the 25 years of her studying quantum physics and neuroscience. It is a method that works with the Third Eye chakra. It is very detailed and clearly explains exactly what, how and why the technique works.

Birth can be extremely healing, especially for women who have experienced previous birth traumas and/or sexual trauma. But labeling birth as "traumatic" as the norm sets our standards very low.

During that time you can also do the vagus exercises for the eyes(look at one side for 60 seconds). When you get a sigh and your breathing becomes deeper it means you've began pacifying your vagus nerve. It's possible to do the vagal exercises for the eyes anywhere safe, by the way. Another way is to do intense breathing like Wim Hof(+3 rounds) or Holotropic. Love.

  • Suzanne was very patient with her. Too much talking and nothing much to do yourself.
