Great discussion of the role of emotion around 35-45. I especially appreciated Nicole's comments about it. I had a reading once after my dog Anna died. The medium offered a bit of evidence, which was cool, but the most powerful thing for me -- by far, no comparison -- was the amount of love she brought through. The medium was very emphatic about how much love there was. I could feel it. I was bawling. That, more than anything, has stayed with me. It was what I needed to hear. So yeah ... please don't underestimate the importance of bringing through the emotion. The evidential stuff is awesome, but love is the bond, and we need to know that the bond continues. Thank you all for sharing your experience. I want to clarify from a sitter’s perspective about getting more than 1 reading. I find different mediums bring in different perspectives and information with those across the veil. It’s always an adventure for me when I get connected with my loved ones. Unexpected treasures. My second reason is I miss my loved ones and want to connect. That’s it! I have taken several classes to learn to connect (in fact I am in Suzannes right now. But so far, it’s not happening for me. So I rely on others. It truly brings me joy.

This was incredibly helpful! I’m a baby medium and currently struggling with the on/off button you guys spoke about. I’d love to learn more about how to implement this when spirit is really persistent lol I’ve asked them to stop. They back off but then it usually starts back up later in the day. I am in Suzanne’s current Mediumship class because I seem to have something I call “Spontaneous Mediumship “ has anyone else had this? I’ve always been intuitive and an am a sometimes “raw empath” to the point of having a hard time being around a lot of people.. I totally agree that you must allow the emotions you are feeling to come through during readings. To me it’s all a part of the Clairsentience that is coming through. I am a novice Medium at the beginning of this beautiful journey. But to intentionally stifle ANY feelings coming through makes no sense to me. If your heart center is completely open, tears WILL come through sometimes. I love all of the Medium’s responses to that topic. I love Mavis too but, I don’t agree with her feeling on that subject. But the beauty of your own personal journey, is to embrace the things that resonate with you and to know that you won’t always agree with even the best Mediums out there. Having said that, Suzanne, you are my mentor and I have not ever felt discord with your perceptions about anything across the veil! Suzanne I absolutely loved this conversation. Being a psychic myself I would love to be on a call like this with others like me. I would have had so much to offer this group as well as tons of questions. I always end up in the groups where everyone wants a reading. . . and I do give them that. But I want to grow. I want to teach. I would love to pay for a brainstorming sharing session like this. I have been to two of your events. I was on the Alaskan cruise (Pam McCall) with you this year and a few years ago at the Kansas City event . I love your ethics in life and enjoy your work. I would love it if you could put together zooms or events like this amongst those that are at this/my level. I would love to have this in my life. For me it would make more sense to interact with psychics and mediums and learn and grow from each other. I was so glad you asked the ladies if they ever had several family members at a time to read for. I just gave one last Christmas where the Mom and 3 daughters were all in different states and I had to read with all the energies disjointed. It was tough but I made it through. I probably wont do that again.

This was so wonderful! I have been wondering if I have some sort of connection or mediumship. I do art work /healing soul doodles for people. While I work on people and prayer for them I feel the love or pain I hear things while I am creating for them. I don’t think I have ever really thought it as mediumship but I know I am in connection with spirt the Devine In order for me to create for them and move energy around for healing! We all have the ability to connect to our loved ones who have passed. I was not aware of my mediumship abilities until my early 30's. The soul opens at the perfect time. ❤
I watched the Lifetime special of a certain medium this past week. I found it disrespectful to this sacred process. These ladies are fulfilling their souls purpose while helping heal others not making a mockery of the practice as she did on that show, in my opinion.
So grateful for this video. I am a pet medium. The same thing happens with animals. Someone may ask me to connect with "Milo" and I'll get a room full of Milos 😄 This is a bi g help!
Why ladies present here charge so much for a reading? I went on they website to check and saw that they charge 7-10 times more for what you pay for the wonferful medium in spiritual church. Hmm.... no, I don't get that
This is a great question! Most of us have been developing and studying mediumship for many, many years. It's akin to going to college without a scholarship:) This is also our profession and this profession in particular takes A LOT of energy so most of us don't see clients 40 hours a week. When you put these things into consideration, and consider money as an energy exchange for the energy put out and see this as our Profession, quite possibly you can see the reason behind the monetary exchange. PS. Love the mediums at the spiritual church but many of us don't have evidential mediums or churches near us.
But they are priced pretty reasonable, compared to their peers. Don’t forget, they are making a living.
I want to know who are these "Word of mouth" people😂 No one in my day to day is willing to talk about this, let alone have a reading. Most of them either flat out refuse to believe or they think it's evil. Honestly. I have no word of mouth people 😢 Anyway thank you all for this❤❤❤
I can speak more to this -- many of my clients will tell me at the end of a session that they heard about me from someone - I think the excitement of the soulful reunion and connection to our loved ones that have passed can be so uplifting that many want to share with others. How can I connect with the field of mediumship?
I wish I could do this as a career, instead I have to do a menial job. Do these mediums feel awful about the huge fees some of them charge.
I wonder what it’s like for an introvert with social anxiety to be psychic? Definitely couldn’t do it for a living. For me I like people in spirit an awful lot; but not people in everyday physical earth life - they’re not nice. Social anxiety doesn’t help.

i just wrote a LONG comment which took me forever and i felt was important to share. And it went under Alex Collier’s channel
I shared three evidential stories of mine and basically what I wanted to say I was responding to the 2815 mark on Suzanne‘s and you have to put your questions out to your loved ones to get the proof that they are still with us so hard to explain I struggle at technology type in grammar etc. etc. so I can’t rewrite it but you can’t expect to walk in it and expect that medium you can’t put them on the spot you have to ask your loved ones to give you the messages and the proof I had three stories I shared and I have many more.
when i had my first reading. i was open. i did not know what to expect. but I got proof and evidence and even sent pictures back to the medium to show her the things that my son were telling me to find in his room because I had no idea during the reading
I would love to know what communication with a very young child who has passed is like.
Great question. Our loved ones in spirit show themselves as we would remember them in the physical world. To the medium, regardless of the age or language spoken in the physical world, they communicate with us in a way of the universal language of love. If a child was not at speaking age before they passed, they can still very much speak and communicate to the medium through the "Clairs". The intelligence of spirit is profound. ❤
Is it possible that the medium is telapathicaly reading thoughts that sitter has instead of the one who passed??
This question has occurred to me too. What if the medium is picking up information psychically from the living person and/or akashic record.
@@kathymckee5732A medium might pick up something psychically, but there are many instances when the sitter doesn't know a piece of evidence that comes through (they later verify it with another friend or family) so they did not have that thought in their mind.

I still wonder though whether the medium is using information from the akashic records, all that is, was and will be, and is clairvoyantly receiving information that is related directly or indirectly to the sitter, whether or not the sitter is aware of that information. I am still perplexed by this despite having had quite a few experiences of seeing people who have passed over and receiving information myself . I am not a working or trained medium. Thanks.
Well if their dead they will talk to you inyour dreams if they want. So it's all strange. Angels and spirit guides talk to some people all the time. Ghosts are dead people still around for some reason. Some ghosts are good some are horrible. So it's hard to communicate with their souls.but good luck.
