  • For those who are confused about the Covid reference, the movie didn't say that, but the recap guy did. The movie was based on deadlier H1N1 disease or the avian/bird flu that struck some parts of Asia somewhile back. Because it's so deadly where anyone who caught the virus immediately shows the symptoms and died within 24-36 hrs, the infected was easily identified and quarantined to stop the spread of the virus. This movie just show the worst case scenario if H1N1 virus evolved to a more deadlier strain.

    • It's because you don't understand how the world actually works. You think power structures are inherently designed to serve you and your interests and so you never question or think to understand a dynamic in which you're being manipulated and taken advantage of. You take the approach of a child being tended to by their parent. You don't take any issue with the fact that we were officially lied to about the origin of the virus. Lied to us about whether the virus occurred naturally or whether it was constructed in a lab. Lied to about gain of function research being done at Wuhan that mirrors functions present in CV 19. Lied to about the efficacy of the shots and have now convinced you to take 4 when in the beginning 1 was 99% effective and completely safe. They have covered up all of the side effects and lied to you about the efficacy of a cure for something most people already contracted and built natural immunity for. I'm not trying to be rude but you are the most dangerous type of person in this modern world who blindly throws your allegiance behind "science" without being rigorous enough to actually understand the dynamics you are participating in. To put it another way, you're not intelligent enough to even know what right or wrong is because you don't understand the true nature of what you are a part of. The irony is that you think people who don't blindly participate in a genetic therapy whose ingredients remain classified information are stupid. You think they ignorantly refuse any engagement with modern medicine over stubbornness. Just like you most likely believe conservatives are just backwards racist ignorant fools. You are the one who is being manipulated. You are the one with the unintelligent conclusions. You have been sold these lenses to perceive the other side through specifically to shape you into someone who behaves the way they want you to. What scares me the most is people like you who feign intelligence when in reality you've just outsourced your ability to comparatively analyze paradigms and critically conceptualize deeper functionalities to what we are exposed to. Comparing this pandemic to previous pandemics is exactly why you fundamentally misunderstand the perspective of the people you claim to fear. You blindly pretend that this virus was not created in a lab and that the cure doesn't introduce genetic level changes in your body's processes. You're the one who doesn't know the science or understand the dynamic. You're the dangerous one because you'll do whatever your government tells you to do out of fear for yourself. A selfish decision masked as scientifically moral because you don't understand the true nature of this world. You're a dangerous coddled adult child. The type of person to cause great harm because you're scared and confused and don't know what's going on. Look in the mirror.

  • I think I remember watching this movie, but not the whole thing. Back when I was younger, my family were at a mall and were at some electronics store or something, and--since I didn't have a phone at the time--went to a nearby stall that promotes a certain TV Channel Box system and this very movie played. I was watching the outbreak scene with this old man and he turned to me and said "Hey, kid, always cover your mouth when you cough". I said sure, and, looking back on this moment, I didn't even realize he was predicting the future.

The fact that one person can create this much chaos within a few days is absolutely terrifying, but the fact that it is possible for a virus to mutate beyond control and spread like fire on steel wool, it sends chills down my spine. • I appreciate the thanks, but it really bothers me how many people believe covid was even close to this. There were some sad scenes in the hospital that I worked in. But when the media is reporting cases on a daily basis without acknowledging that the vast majority of those cases were asymptomatic it really becomes a fear mongering tool. The masks that we wear in the hospital are approved for covid. The wood whittling mask and cloth masks that the vast majority of the public would wear simply aren't. Why did that become such a political point? Truth is this world is disgusting and too many people who have no idea about the science stand around and give their opinion for or against. Either way somebody's going to make a bunch of money no matter what you believe so they don't care if you believe the truth or the lie. I can tell you the science. Unless you're qualified to evaluate what I'm saying then it literally doesn't matter what I say. I'm not trying to sound elitist but it's similar to if a mechanic is explaining to you the inner workings of a transmission. You can kind of understand what they're talking about but if they opened up the transmission and expected you to fix it or have an opinion about what to do with it you'd sit there with your thumb up your ass. Problem is politicians and our media monetized the opinion because they knew that most people were just sitting there with their thumbs up their ass LOL to disgusting world we live in

I believe in complete freedom keep it moving kind of like Switzerland did or Draconian lock everybody the fuk up by China did LOL I don't think there's any Middle ground. It's either grave to the point that those who give it to you should be your enemy because of how careless they were with your life or it's not that grave and it's none of your business how I handle it.

  • See. This is exactly why hardcore gamers would survive. 1. We don't go outside 2. We don't interact with other people physically 3. We have at least half a years worth of food we could survive on - mainly consisting of twinkies, stale cheetos (yes, they're already stale), some kind of rice/ramen, and sugar drinks. Now we'd be mad when we run out of the sugar and gotta drink water but let's be real... We have a long time until that happens. After 6 months we'd finally look out the window and exclaim "Wow. Wtf happened out there!?"

If Putin was to introduce an avion flu weapon(which they easily could as they have a form of it)infect some illegals...bam, the States will be screwed. 64% of the population would be dead within a week. Be easier to than using a nuke and it would severally delay any if not all supplies to Ukraine as we would be too busy dealing with the outbreak, which would obviously help Putin. Also look at all of the construction going on with military bunkers around the U S....they are prepping now more than ever in the last 20 years. And a lot of the bunkers aren't designed to handle a nuke, but they would be designed to handle an epidemic...

The recap guy just added it for some twist in the story. But I'm amazed how the movie itself predicted how it may happen and yeah we all experienced it.

Think about how stupid the majority of people who thought covid was not a real threat are. I mean they're real f****** dumb. But then realize that the vast majority of people who thought that covid was a death sentence and bought into the idea of a wood whittling or cloth mask somehow protecting you from covid are just as dumb. Like real f****** dumb. This is a disgusting world that we live in and we do not deserve the brains that we possess. I hope whatever deity is the real one brings the apocalypse soon. There are cases where patients are still aware of their surrounding (because somehow their brain still functions) despite their bodies being “dead” (and this isn’t comatose either).
