I’m actually first on your comment. Wow.
wow
this guy is everywhere i swear
Pretty much an icon at this point
how are you everywhere
What you realise more about the boys, they were happy in the glade. Guys like Albie and Gally were happy being the big fish in the small pond. It's why Albie, once the maze was totally mapped, hadn't made more effort to find alternative escape routes or tell anyone else bar a couple of people that the maze was inescapable. Even Minho seems oddly at ease with it. It's an interesting psychological question, like in Flatland. This is their entire world and they seem happy and content with it. Thomas and Theresa are the only one who is desperate to escape and it shows.
They probably thought in their mind that there was much more out there to uncover and find but they didn't want to face it so they just stuck with the same rules every day and night till Thomas came. These were all kids under 18 so I'd say they were scared for whatever was out there.
It’s Alby btw. If you’ve read the books, you’d know
In the books, the maze makes a lot more sense. (The movie has some serious logical mistakes) In the books: 1) They were programmed not to be able to climb the walls and to think that it is impossible. 2) Ben, the runner, wasn't banished because he was stung, he was banished because he attacked another glade member. (Stung people get the serum to heal them). 3) People after beeing stung didn't turned into supersoldier who could hold up grievers, they turned into more aggressive people. 4) They decided to build houses, bc they already had searched every corner of the maze for an exit, mapped every change and found the pattern. 5) Minho left, before Thomas tied Alby up. The grievers chase Thomas through the vines after that. 6) So many other stuff, I can't even list it all.
Is the book series good?
@@shellynick763yess very different and more thrilling I personally loved the series
@@53.zuhayrzia55 thanks, I'll check out the books
It’s been really long since I read the books, but I remember vividly, that climbing the walls didn’t work because saws came out and cut someone in half when they climb it. The most annoying thing about it is that the movie does actually have the proof for that in it. There is the corpse of the person who has been cut in half in the background when Thomas gets the fertilizer.

Ah yes, the scent of hypocracy.
Gotta remember, as soon as someone realize you killed someone to save you own skin, they gonna turn on you in a second with the time comes. You new to these people and haven't built any trust so they more then likely to throw you away then someone they been talking to for years.
Hey no one will know your hypocrite if no one is left to tell the tale
The difference is that he has way more clout than you do in the group. There's no complex manipulation, just a 'he said' situation
Really got to commend the writing behind the story. Kids without their memories are trapped in a normally unbeatable maze and one of their biggest enemies are what lies within the maze. Turns out the monsters are the answers to each of their problems, but of course can only be acquired through risk.
I love how you make the thumbnails look so much different from the actual story, ngl it caught my attention, I’m watching this, and then hunger games, those are literally my favorite books in the world.
In the book they actually tried lowering someone down the elevator shaft but he was cut in half with built in blades hidden in the shaft.

I was looking for this comment
Since this is a maze, the kids could use the wall-follower technique. Several runners could all try to stain their hands different colors (or use different amounts of fingers to differentiate the runners' paths) and keep to the left-hand side of several different directions. Doing this, they would have known that the mazes change very quickly and find a pattern to it. Then, the runners would only need to really study one or two mazes, and on the days where they aren't in use, they can help the community. They'd still get the sequence since all the runners would know the pattern of the mazes and possibly get out more quickly. The runner's curfew should also be earlier to prevent a situation like what happened at 9:36. To also prevent this, the runners should know about shadow positioning in relation to time, since it's unlikely they'll be able to see the sun clearly at any given time. When someone is stung, the boys should still put them in the pit, but also take the opportunity to ask questions about the grievers. If even one person gets stung, at least they'd be more prepared for the next one if they have some base-line information. They'd probably be able to know their attacks before the Glade was overrun. Though I've never read the book, so maybe this was all addressed their
Not that I remember
Your first point was mentioned in the book, Minho said it didnt work because most of the walls werent connected to each other
Your solution to beating the maze is quite often "ditch everyone else". Which is a horrible plan. You're currently in a controlled deadly environment with no knowledge of the outside world. If it's this deadly in here, who knows how dangerous it is outside the maze. You should be trying to keep everyone together and bring them all outside to maximize our chances of survival afterwards.
That's often his plan in EVERY video. If it's not ditching people, having meat shields, or making a bargain with killers- it's making these solutions the average person wouldn't know or would realistically feel in a situation. He looks at these movies in an analytical way because he watched these, so of course, it seems like he can come up with ANY solution but not take emotions and level of knowledge into account. When I imagine myself in the mazerunner, my first thought is to follow the rules, ask some clarifying questions and build up genuine connections with the group. This dude here is already going on a tangent about his memories being erased and building stuff to scale the walls. People are more likely to share things if you are closer to them so when the time comes to ask and question stuff it's done in good faith rather than interrogating someone. Cinema often overlooks the power dynamics in some movies. His way at playing the power game is using someone in their weaker state or the lowest in the power scale is to use that person for their gain. I would agree with this if its every man for themself but most of these movies opens up teamwork as an option even if it's a "only one can survive" death game and logically most people would do this to increase their chances of survival. And you know what? I don't even blame people for looking after themselves but at least keep it consistent thats your goal. Cinema switches to "okay lets work together and be brother in arms" to "yeah fuck you guys im saving my skin, but if you do this to me yall are bad". It honestly makes you a two-faced hypocritical coward. The dissonance in the videos is so hilariously annoying. If a new person calls bs of what someone who has stayed longer, they probably be pissed or tell them to stay in their lane, unless you have evidence at the ready (which he wouldn't have or think of doing) he's going to get shut down because he hasn't earned his right to question stuff. And even then, nobody really knows anymore than what they've been doing for three years. They got complacent, yes, but it's also risky doing majority stuff Cinema suggests because it doesn't have a fail safe incase it goes to shit. Only reason I'm watching these videos is the summary aspect, I watched a person who made some videos that dismantles most of his ideas and I found them entertaining, if interested, I can try to find them and update you.

Also narrator: The leader doesn’t deserve these meds because he’s useless and has no redeeming traits. Yep sounds about right lol.
Yes it is true in my POV. All these are benefit me if I am the one in the position.
Yea that's what I was thinking
@@hunghung9537 Then congrats, you're now surviving on your own instead of with assistance
It does sound right you just don’t have the survivor grindset
Well, I mean, while they're ultimately going to be meatshields when it comes to life or death situation human resources are still resources to be used. A responsible ally is never going to be the first to be trown under the bus to save the rest, and you should do your best to appear trustworthy yourself for the very same reason. All lives are precious, but in a death game some lives are more precious than other.
Dude I love this book series
as someone who’s read up to fever code in the book series, THIS IS SMART!! very similar to the thought process i had
The jump from "the laser scanned us and an alarm sounded" to the conclusion "we need more people to enter" is illogical. Nothing indicates that these things are related. Could've been a scanner for grievers as well, no?
Yeah I was thinking that too. Maybe a scanner for body mass, but yeah shits wack
@@Tmac-rv9wq I guess that's the bias that comes with having watched the movie before breaking it down :)
Yeah I agree that’s one hell of a conclusion to jump to, but you could also make the case of “Why the hell did the designers of the maze make the door unlock from having a specific amount of people in the first place?” Like if more person died on the way there would they just have been screwed?
This entire thing is illogical. He talks constantly about how certain things early on don’t matter like your name because it’s a death trap but you wouldn’t even know anything like that yet. This is all just based on watching it and knowing exactly what to do based on what happened.
the main guys last words were take them, not free them, i think
I’m surprised you immediately would think the scanner is looking for more people rather than scanning to see if it’s a griever. Since the tracker was in the griever, and doesn’t open without it, I’d think it was like some sort of fob so the griever could go sleep in the cave during the day. Then instead of letting the griever in, it saw kids and self destructed.
That ties in a lot better to the actual story in the book. Since the Grievers retreat to the griever hole every morning, that’s how Thomas and Minho figured out that that could be their escape. It’s really disappointing how they don’t tie the grievers in to the escape besides a random tracker being in them. That almost means that a Glader would HAVE to kill a griever, which is only possible with plot armour. They just find a random hole in the wall and that leads them straight out out the maze, no extra fuss, no nothing. And they only grab the other Gladers because that’s literally vital for their success. In the book, they’re incentivised to go as a team as they could get through more grievers. Thomas (theoretically) COULD have done it all himself, but he DECIDED to.
I thought the same thing. I think the most likely reason it sounded the alarm was because it realized they were human not grievers.
Same, since the griever hole hides every griever
Cinema is wild. “I’d start sacrificing everybody here, but unfortunately, we need them.”- UNFORTUNATELY?!! 😂😂😭😭😭
They couldn’t have just hid in the thick ivy. The beetle blades would have found them and tell the Grievers about the location of them and the Grievers would probably do a surprise attack, killing all three of them.😢
I like how most of these "how to beat" videos rely on being cowardly and sacrificing everyone else
He shows you how to SURVIVE them, not how to SAVE the people in them. Not enough people understand this.
@@chocchip4172 lol but most of the time you survive by numbers. Something the maze Runner did really well so idk what’s your point
The hardest decisions require the biggest sacrifice
@@chocchip4172 There is one Problem with this thou... Humans are social animals and people who are selfish in deadly scenarios only get a single free pass for their betrayal and after that everything goes downhill. You make yourself untrustworthy which leads to high risk of being isolated from the rest of the group and as soon as you are on your own your survival chance drops to 0% even when you would have escaped the maze because you don't know what comes after.
Yes
CS: "Min-Ho left me for dead" Also CS: "If I saw a new door open up I would absolutely leave everyone behind"
CS:Condition Zero Deleted Scenes
It is Min-ho it is Minho and it is actually pronounced meeno
It is what it is
I totally recommend going and reading the books, because the kids are actually kind of smart and know what they’re doing, and they have tried anything they could possibly imagine before Thomas got there
bro was roasting these structures like theres no tomorrow- 💀(and i love it)
16:35 in the book they actually said that they'd tried lowering someone down with rope but they got sliced in half by something
beat me to it
Oh... Well rip
Yeh, I literally commented on that😂
And put him in a box to remind future kids to not be dumb.
I swear every single one of these is like "Now personally, I would lock myself in the closet and leave everybody else to die brutally."
It’s a little disturbing honestly
@@jeremieh5009 but so entertaining 😂😂😂
It’s logical
Atleast we know Cinema Summarys approach if the world falls to hell
it was kinda funny hearing him criticize the Asian Runner for leaving them out of fear for his life, but before leading up to the part he was talking about leaving them for meat-shields.
when i watched this straight after i watched 2 and 3 this is so good
i luv it when he says "ok"
newt is a real one, even after he worked for wcked and basically put him there, he forgave him so quickly and said what he is then dosent matter. what a legend
what? newt worked for wcked?
@@JoeMama-yf8dd no, i am talking about how thomas worked for wckedand newt still agreed with him
@@doom_slayer4915 oh i see, thomas never gets back his memories in the books though i think so he didn't know he worked with wckd
DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS So saddest thing is that Newt fricking dies it was very sad
@@eliodergamer Charles dies as well
Everybody gangster until Cinema Summary uses you as a human meat shield...
No it is when you hear his voice that is when you know you no longer have the ability to live
Ive seen the movie and read the book of this definitely recommend it
4:42 ain’t no way bro just said “we can use them as meat shields”
I love how you got angry at Minho for ditching us, but your way of surviving is using other people to our advantage even if it means having them dead, for us to survive. Which is exactly what Minho did. Minho did the right thing in my opinion LMAO
yeah i thought the same but he wanted to say all that against minho so he could be in charge as a runner of higher position and minho gets terminated. although, minho still proved to be a potential resource so doesnt matter. i wouldnt go against that much...
Yes, because in reality the strategies this guy comes up with will often flat out not work, make you enemy number one, or are for too difficult in practice. He would never survive an actual death game, but still a fun show to watch.

@@CrypticCobra facts. Considering a person can never survive alone. They'll become mental and non social able. A person can never go a day without talking to someone let alone their entire life. Like the plans he suggests will just make him selfish and all for himself. Cuz compared to what one person can do, there's more progress of having more people together along side more manpower and strength together. We humans are better together than alone, bascially we are a pack, herd and group. Then also making plans off the bat doesn't work 95% of the time. Rather the plan never goes as plan.
Minho could have made it back in time to the glade if he would have just left alby’s body behind and ran from the start. He DIDN’T.
The wall climbing argument is nullified when you consider the fact that this is a book series and the movies simply took creative leave when designing the walls.
Also the fact that they ARE being watched and studied. If the scientists saw them climbing the walls it would be too many variables for their experiment, point being for then to get out of the maze. So they wouod make the walls higher, etc. Create traps so they couldn't climb over the walls i honestly think with the amount of time it would take them to make bamboo scaffolding that they would have drugged them all and created traps so they couldnt get over the walls
Wasn’t it mentioned that if the members tried to climb over the way they would get decapitates or something? It’s been years since I’ve read it
@@oversizedmochalatte2607 I think you reach the ceiling, as in the fourth book they reveal that its like a screen showing the blue sky when its day time and a darker one at night time
@@oversizedmochalatte2607 In the book, the walls have blades that sweep out and cut ladders.
I also prefer the way they solve the maze in the book than in the movie. It seems more like strength is necessary because the only way to solve it in the movie is to kill a griever, whereas in the book they actually use their brains to figure out the moving walls spell stuff. Plus they actually have the way out the whole time they just don’t realise. Much better than the movie.
Your videos make me see movies in a different way
“Normally if I knew my life was in danger I’d be sacrificing everybody here to stay alive” Good Samaritan 💯
I love how the book made so much more sense than the movie, basically disproving all his alternate escape points and his talk about bad decisions
bro almost everything he says doesn't make any sense
Still tho how would the scaffolding up the wall and then ladders across the walls not work?
Tom Blns because in the book the entire maze is roofed
@@ezoni8438 oh yeah I forgot about that.
it's underground if i remember correctly
God this is probably my favorite book series ever. I’ve been hesitant to watch the movie to avoid reliving the trauma one but I was afraid it wouldn’t do the book justice.
Newt's death in the last movie was one of the most heartbreaking deaths in cinema
