But you don't need actual EL either, Understanding the Echo/Sound from different distances just takes practice if you had some. I know because I do it Although standing 1 inch infront of a Wall doesn't work in the slightest because there's a minimum distance for Echo to happen and 1 inch or the size of a regular Room is not enough. That way they would be muffled if they were behind a wall, and I could hear them if they tried to grab the wall and lean to the side because it would put strain on their voice. • With the spinning game, there's two things I can see being able to help you out: 1. If you are forced to stand still the entire time; your centre of balance would be thrown off with the spinning, disorientating you and making the game a lot harder. 2. The coins. Assuming the first part is a rule, and we can't just sit down or bend down to place a coin to tell us which way to go, the second part still means you can use the coins as a point of orientation. If you have three coins, you can probably store them in different parts of your clothes (pockets, sleeves, etc.) to face the dead ends. Even if you have just one coin, having that coin facing the safe zone before it starts spinning, gives you an idea of what to rule out; if the game developers are smart, they'll leave you spun around not facing the safe direction, meaning your odds are more likely that the coin is pointing to a dangerous outcome. With your "friends" telling you to leap towards them, you can probably make safer assumptions that the person who the coin is pointing to, is not safe. There's still risk, of course, but there's risk in everything, and it doesn't seem to be made immediately clear if you'll even live should you lose the game. They could just kill you off if you take too long, or your opponent wins, so it's a weigh up of the risks and odds (and personally, I'd take the risk). How can I be sure that any of them are even safe in the end, if I can't see (taking the sound reverb out of the equation, since leather seems like a thick material that would cancel out noise. Could be wrong in this assumption, but knowing people who can't hear anything and have to read lips, sight and touch can ultimately be more valuable than sound to them) and it's not some risk taking experiment instead (considering how the first game went)? They could set up a wall to keep all routes blocked off; though it's not likely, it's still a possibility I'd be wary of before making a move. Not to mention, we don't know how well the walls would be able to reverberate sound, and if we have several people yelling at us, it makes sound a less reliable means of trust. This is my own stance, of course, and we don't know enough about the scenarios to make a confirmed "100% win" answer to everything, but this is personally how I'd go about things.

    @alexisrox44@alexisrox44 Жыл бұрын
    • Also, with the man saying which coin he has facing him, does that mean Zero could possibly have more than one different valued coin on him? Let's say this is the case; if he memorises each coin, he can probably trick the liars by asking which he sets down (being a single coin at a time). If they get it right, like the guy with the mirror, presumably, the person who's actually the safe way to jump, might catch onto the plan, and lie about the coin values when it's their turn. Again, this is a big risk, but if the safe person LIES despite being able to see the coin, whereas the fakes are telling the truth, three honest people and one liar limits the odds a lot, IF they don't catch onto the trick immediately. It's a big trust exercise between you and the safe person, but it could feasibly work, albeit not with amazing odds. Even if it isn't the case, I don't know how Asian coins are marked (e.g. by year, with names, symbols, etc), but if he asks what's on the reverse side of the coin, the one they can't see, it'll be a lot harder for them to answer in a trustworthy way. If they get help from the staff and are told what's on the other side (especially if it's an iconic coin, like a special coin commemorating an event), their delivery could be incredibly suspicious if not handled correctly. Even if a whole lot of "I don't know" is possible, the liars are trying to earn his trust, and the staff are probably wanting to see how much risk he'll take in trusting their word, so it's possible that some of them will be told the correct answer, and some won't. With how he's already slimmed down the numbers, it means the staff might go one truth, one lie, OR keep them both even. Either way, a lot can be discerned from these answers alone.

    • I thought of this as well but it simply doesn't work. It doesn't matter if they spin your body or not. Because the coin moves with you, you still have no idea which direction you are facing once you stop. Say the exit was N so you put the coin there. You spin a bunch and you are now facing S. But the coin is too. But you don't know that. The coin would have to stay in one place. It might work if you could count how many times you spun but it spins way too fast for that so this trick is completely useless.

  • When it comes to the Safe Zone, the material used to make the masks seems denser than your average pillow casing and might absorb sound or repel sound. If there's a problem with my hearing, using soundwaves to gauge distance and density of an area in front of me may not work (although there should be significant differences in soundwaves when talking to a wall, hearing from a wall, and listening to a space without either). The bowing-technique is brilliant and can be asked twice or even three times to ascertain if the player is guessing or can actually see (If you give the speaker only two options, you can easily pull a 'thumbs up' in the same position without adjusting your posture or flexing uncomfortably, and if they could see it, they would know you're not bowing correctly or have the thumbs tucked in). If hearing is a problem, then gauging time to answer is your next best strategy because even a mirror would have to be placed under the player and angled so that the speaker could see it, and pauses with movement would tip the player off. One that I thought up was asking for a handshake or a hug; the distance isn't too far to jump, 1.5-2 feet, and most of the contestants look healthy and have no apparent disabilities that would prevent them from that kind of jump. As far as I analyzed, there was nothing in the rules that didn't say they couldn't jump onto my platform and then return, and the truthful speaker would be more eager to comply than the ones that were lying. The ones lying may try to say 'I'm not allowed to', but the rules were concluded before the game began, so telling me that they can't or won't makes me suspicious. Any emotional blackmail, like claiming they're being held at gunpoint and will be shot if they try to hug me, will sound suspicious and it may be cold for me to insist they try, but three of them are literally luring me to my death. If I'm gambling with my life, I can gamble theirs in that moment as well. Another survival trick when you're lost or don't recognize your surroundings is to check for landmarks. In the room, I saw one chandelier in the shot that showed Zero, all three walls and the Safe zone, and the chandelier is adjacent to the Safe Zone. Even if there was a second one out of the shot that I didn't account for, I can simply ask a player to tell me what is on their left, and what is on their right. This will probably not work since three are actively trying to get me killed and might change up their answer, and I have been given nothing to write on or notate and keep up the answers, but they may not recognize I noticed the chandeliers and may answer truthfully. The room doesn't spin, only I do, so even if I spin, the chandeliers wouldn't change their position. It's something to consider while using a better strategy, but there it is.

  • First Game reminds me of exam questions. You don't have to be the ace student who knows it all. All you have to do is knowing: 1) the structure of how to answer the question (especially if it's an essay/report) - what is the nature of the question? Are there any loopholes can you exploit in the exam question? 2) some basic + 10% knowledge of the subject (so know enough and a bit extra) 3) looking back on the topic, what is the main themes or agenda or message, that the school/teacher/education system is looking for you to examine or answer back. Whether or not you choose to follow it, debate it, synthesize it, etc is up to you. 4) Is it an essay, paragraph, or audio response question? Take advantage of the mediums of exam or project submission. Instead of writing a slab of text essay, write headings and sub-headings to prompt yourself and structure your response. Plus it saves your wrist from cramps :) Other than this, Have a Damn Good (Exam) Day. Good Luck.

Like if he kept a coin and hid it somewhere on his person, then asked everyone which hand held the coin. That’s not a perfect solution, but that’s the kind of question I’m thinking of. One where if you choose an obvious answer you know they’re lying, and the only one telling the truth would give you a third answer

I would simply take that place first and take the risk that the others won't realize what I'm doing (for example I wouldn't tuck my legs in yet), or will fight with other people for the space that guarantees survival. • I love how all these "how to beat" videos,whether it's games like this,Squid Game, or even the SAW traps, talk about how easy it would be. The thing is that you only think it's easy BECAUSE YOURE LOOKING AT IT FROM THE OUTSIDE,NOT EXPERIENCING IT PERSONALLY.
