You CANT tell me Michael Penix Jr is NOT one of the Top 3 QB’s in this years class if you’ve actually broken down his film & watched him. If you say different, you don’t know ball.
He’s a magician out there. He put on a performance for the ages vs Texas in Sugar Bowl.
#nfl #QBfilm #chasedaniel #football
Is Penix a Top 3-4 QB for 2024 NFL Draft?
YES
I remember watching this game against Texas. It was a slugfest and Penix drove his team on the final drive to the score that won! He's going to be wearing Viking Purple!
I got him QB3. 2 Blue 🔵 QBs imo Maye and Caleb. 1st Rd QBs I have Penix (Per Medicals) as QB3. Bo Nix as QB 4. I think Denver gets him and he has atleast a Cousins like career. 2nd Rd Grades I have Daniels 5 he's 200lbs playing weight and you gotta build that up over time imo. A lot like Justin Fields just, Not as Good. An Elite Scheming Coach can do anything tho. 🤷🏻🤷🏻 Especially w/great OL. Then JJ McCarthy would be 6th. He's got talent
So Maye and Caleb Williams are Blue 🔵 imo.
I'm interested, Do you think Penix has to change his arm motion? As you know that will take time. I have him as my QB3. I actually have Bo Nix next and Jayden Daniels and JJ McCarthy with 2nd Rd Grades. McCarthy man 😅... Harbaugh is pimpin that dude. But they both getting paid. His accuracy is bad. He's a winner but, so was Tim Tebow.
That Texas playoff game solidified it for me. It’s not often that a college QB wows me, but Penix did it again and again in that game. I immediately thought Falcons gotta get this guy, and praise be to God, they got him.
Michael Penix Jr if he stays healthy is going to be the best QB in this draft.
He is 1500 snaps removed from his last injury. Time to put the injury factor to rest.
bro why ppl think a rando prediction in a comment section is significant?
@@mortystraphouse5077 You should direct that to all the haters complaining about getting a dynasty QB in the draft.
@@Kudeghraw i like penix. but 90% of sports coverage and fan chatter is all meaningless predictions now. its boring and pointless
@@mortystraphouse5077 Well, everyone wants the clout of having "I told you so" on their resumes.
Don’t watch a ton of college film But what I’ve seen, HE IS NOT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH
This is a total boon for Penix. The more he slept on, the better the team he lands on. Being drafted by a trash fire like the Bears, Commies or Giants would get him killed.
I was a Bo Nix fan. And then I watched that first game. I was shocked. Maybe it was just a fluke. One perfect game. Then the PAC championship. I was sold. He is the real deal.
Now show him against Michigan lol

Welcome to Atlanta. 🔴⚫️
I’ve listened to draft experts “so called” dock thins guy over and over and over again for be "a statue” or even worse "not able to improvise” or "throw off schedule " and it’s such a crock of BS! If you say that about this kid I instantly can’t take you serious! I get the injury concerns, but if he stays healthy he might be the best in the class.
Facts
Absolute fact 💯. In my opinion this guy will end up being one of the best QB from this draft years to come. Smart, good pre post snap reads, quick release, crazy gifted arm, tight motion, throws with anticipation, good packet awareness and manipulation... He's not a statue and can scramble... Do you really want your QB running 500 yards per year... No, want him to have a throw first mentality which he does.
@@bookendtackles5315 It's all down to injury luck and weather or not he can stay healthy with a bad team because again he needs injury luck, but if he ends up with decent to good team he could be really good.
@@jameshannagan4256 he's played 2 straight seasons injury free. If a guy was someone who had nagging soft tissue injuries all the time I'd be concerned, but anyone can get a tear at anytime on turf. Can't stop or control that.
@@bookendtackles5315 man I know! People always site Mahomes without acknowledging he runs to fine a place to throw too! His eyes are always down field! Penix can and does do that! By the way as a Giants fan what do you put the odds at for them not going wr or Ol and instead taking a qb? I just don’t see it. They have too much invested in jones and both the GM and head coach if they fo that might as well call this their last year!
It was such a joy watching this guy become a Husky legend in just two years. He's tough as nails
Haha Michigan had him floppin all over the place he was getting rocked so bad he was pretending to be hurt.

Yea his last game was so much fun. Haha go blue.

Welcome to Atlanta my brother
Lol look at my other comment.😅
One thing about him, he’s not afraid to go after big chunk plays. Sure he’ll check it down when he needs to… but man, he’s so good at layering the ball that you almost want him to go deep every time… Pause 😂
Penix is the real deal. I get the injury concerns but that was in the past and he has developed his game by getting rid of ball quickly/making quick decisions, pre-snap reads of the coverage, not taking sacks. Many QB's do not show that growth. I love his game and any team that drafts will win the draft
I hope the Vikings stick at 11 and take him. No need to trade up. That'd be a great situation for him to.
That’s easy to do in college lol……. Google Dwayne Haskins
As a Seahawk fan I hope we get him but I agree that Whomever gets him is winning. And the Vikings would be a really good landing spot
@joeperry2065 no way he is there at 11 chicago will trade 9 with some onr to keep him out of Minnesota
I will let you tell it. Bet he does not even last a whole season.
That touchdown pass to Macmillan was just beautiful. There are actually so called draft experts that are on record saying he doesn’t throw to the middle of the field. I can’t imagine what film they are watching that made them come to that conclusion
Neither does Aaron Rodgers. When you can consistently throw dimes, there is no need to go down the middle.
Perhaps he likes throwing deep? Or that was his first read and he took it? Obviously the deep routes get bigger gains. Maybe someone could show the yards per catch?
I hope the Vikes dont give up the farm to get maye or mccarthy. IMO Penix is better than both. Please vikes pick him!
Da Raaaaaidahs!
I agree he's better and was hoping the Patriots would pick him... NE effed up another draft pick by picking Maye. Penix' accuracy is INSANE. Maye can pass to wide open receivers lol
Penix is better than any other Qb in the draft! 157.7 qb rating for last year! 149.9 for his college career! Who is better?????
He was a really good college player
@ChaseDanielShow how he isn't the #1 I'll never know! No one has been better in last 2 years! And he was an afterthought
@@ChaseDanielShow So was Tebow
His rating last year was 84.1... 6th in the country... Behind Bo Nix (2nd).
Love the channel bro, really enjoy feeling like I actually know what's going on at the qb position lol
Glad you enjoy it!
Arm as good as Caleb, best full field post snap reads in class. Best at throwing with leverage in class. I do get the knock on his play under pressure though. There were times where he slid into pressure or didn't seem to find the hot man. Still, I would 100% draft.
Yes. But don't tell the rest of the NFL. Randall Cunningham at times, Joe Burrow at others. Talented dude. And like you said guys love him. Future Viking SKOL!

Penix is a beast! Sucks that his draft value is reduced because of his injury history which makes him a risk. Otherwise, he'd def be in the conversation for pick 1 or 2 this year.
Doesn't suck if your us🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️💪
He’s gonna go to the Vikings at pick 11 in my opinion. If he had no injury concerns, he’d be a top 5 pick, no question. His ability to throw the ball is amazing for a college QB.

He also has said Nick Mullens has a cannon and will levis was his favorite qb in last years draft so...
What guy is that ? Lemme guess P A
Yep... 😂 Worst takes ever.
Charch was just on the pa show and said Penix wasnt good in the pocket and was a one read qb who doesnt go through progressions... 😂
break down the film all you will, but what that won't show is the man has balls of steel. When the game was on the line, he would just go out and calmly deliver... over and over and over. There weren't a lot of blowout wins at UW, there were a lot of games that came down to the last two minutes, and we won almost all of them.

great work Chase! a true sleeper for sure, just like your content as well!
Solid breadown by a Former NFL QB I watched go crazy at Mizzou. Ive been High on MPJ since last year, and I trust Chase's opinion more than these coach GMs.
I appreciate the breakdown. One of the things I get annoyed about with some of the Penix detractors in the draft media world is they like to make it seem like serious football people don’t consider Penix a dude and that only casual football fans see a high quality/starting caliber quarterback prospect. It’s a completely false picture they paint but they slough it off as if it’s just common sense. The truth of the matter is that there are plenty of serious football people that like Penix and do believe his game with translate. And now we can add Chase Daniel to that list of serious football people who like Penix, along with guys J.T. O’Sullivan, Chris Simms and former NFL general managers Rick Spielman and Randy Mueller. To the Penix haters, it’s one thing to dislike his game but don’t gaslight people and make it seem like only casuals do like him. Y’all literally spent the last 2 years telling us the guy is a statue and that he can’t move because of the injuries, a claim that Penix PROVED definitively has zero validity whatsoever. I mean the people that watched the tape and came to that conclusion completely and utterly whiffed on that aspect of the evaluation and in fact reality proved to be the precise opposite of what they claimed it was. People who test the way Penix tested are far from immobile. And though he doesn’t move a lot there are plenty of reps from the last 2 years that show the guy is far from the bad athlete he was made out to be in certain quarters.
He had better 40 yard and Vert then Jordan love.love not that mobile but has crazy arm angles..my point if penix can move like love he should be fine...so I gotta watch love tape
see the people who see injuries and assume statue, thats an example of a heuristic, now everybody uses heuristics in everything but the accuracy and correlation of your heuristics is what determines how close you get to the truth in a couple decades, maybe even just 10 years, we’ll have AI scouts that far surpass any human in talent evaluation, at that point human talent evaluators will essentially become AI scout assistants and interpret their results, although in 10 years blackbox bots will also be able to interpret and explain their results and “thinking process” in human friendly form
I've seen him on Pro-day and watched some film on him and can't shake the feeling that the injury concerns maybe because he hasn't fully grown into his body despite being 23-24. Might be the baby face, but a year of sitting behind a QB like Darnold and developing his body athletically with time and introduced slowly, I think he blooms into a great QB, perfect for the Vikings team sitting at 11th pick.
He already better than darnold lmao
He’s 26
Pro day is diddly squat

Thank you Chase.. I think Penix is the best passer in the draft.
Someone is gonna get a steal with this dude, I'm entranced. He has it. Even though I recognize about the injuries and his age I dont really care at the same time. You know what you're getting with him: a smart, elite passer with a huge arm who doesn't take sacks, can make every throw, and deals with pressure well. With the other guys, especially Maye and McCarthy, there is SO much projection. I'm totally convinced that after Caleb, he will be the second best QB in this draft if he gets his chance.
Completely agree. Look forward to him being stolen in the late first by a team a qb away
The season is on the line and my guy keeps it. Runs for ten yards hahahah saved it until he needed it at its finest. I want the hawks to draft him !
Me to
Penix's OC from the Huskies is now working for the 'hawks so that would create a nice synergy. My concern would be Seattle's OLine. It's simply not good enough yet.
please dont forget about kenny the snake stable he was a lefty too
Reminds me of Doug Williams who won a Super Bowl with Washington Commanders 87 very accurate
Great breakdown. Love it. Can’t wait for more videos
More to come!
Wow, I know its just one game, but that's at least 7 nfl throws in a single game. A game against the best interior d-line in the country. He isn't the most elusive in the pocket, because of his upright stance, but he clearly feels the pressure around him and can move enough to get the ball out. Could all 5 QB's be gone by pick 6?
I keep thinking hes the guy MN should get at 11 and interior Oline at 23. 2 years without injury and those pro day performances coupled with his combine performances makes him enticing. Then you watch the film and damn he could be the guy without having to give up the farm for a hope and a prayer.
🎯🎯🎯
The kid started right out of HS behind a crappy line. Probably had not even fully grown. His OC still went out and brought him to the Dub. Overcame injuries and broke Mahomes passing record. Passing in Husky stadium which is the worst passing stadium in the country. Can play in bad weather. Now he is fully grown and the NFL strength coaches will spend a year making sure he is developing. He is a generational talent with a chip on his shoulder and I hope he goes to a franchise that will build a team around that talent. It may take a season to get your personal right so let him train and get a few games in before you turn him loose on the league.
Penix is the second best qb in this draft.
And jj is the first
@@Domimcnation😂 the guys that threw 0 passes in the 2nd half vs penn state? The guy that depended heavily on his running backs? Stop.

@@caseymagee5251shows you didn’t watch the game … only the box score. Your opinions have now been invalidated.
@@dhaddine5472 I watched more Michigan games than I’d ever like to admit. Since you said so though my opinion must be invalid.
Left handed QB creates different challenges. You need a right tackle that can defend the blind side rather than left tackle. The hand off to running back is different. Receivers have to adjust to the spin of the ball as it's rotating opposite of what they're used to up to that moment. It's also a little challenging to coach as most coaches are right handed and reversing everything is challenging... Everything is different when you have a left handed QB... But I think this guy makes it worthwhile
The Vikings have two pro bowl tackles. O’Neil and Darrisaw are great. If he went there he would have an instant impact. But his injuries in past is a concern.
This is such a dated argument! Most teams have 2 even three edges that can get after the qb. Biggest adjustment is probably the center qb exchange. Other than that, nothing notable.
@@user-cb2kw8hf1l difference is that those coming from the right the QB can at least see coming to a degree... Unless he's left handed.
@@rockymarquiss8327make no difference. You have a blindside regardless and most teams have a pass rusher in both sides now. In fact some teams their best edge player is the LDE now! See 9ers, Browns, Raiders just to name a few.
Penix has some of the best balls, nor does he shrink when it’s time to perform. In the right situation, he has a lot of growth potential.
Hey Chase, how do you feel about him going to my Minnesota Vikings!
Y’all are going to regret underestimating Micheal Penix Jr…. Somebody is going to take him first round .
Elite up-side with injury concerns. A good calculated risk, if you can protect him.
Great breakdown as I like Penix more than any other QB in this draft Good guy good leader great at both reading defenses as the play unfolds then delivering dimes downfield. How can you not love that?
Not just a strong 💪 arm but that deep ball accuracy
Miss seeing you out there playing bro you had game
Appreciate that
Bro a nfl linebacker by the name of Thomas Davis tore his acl three times, played 16 seasons, tom Brady tore his acl to what?
Wow you are 100 percent correct Thomas Davis was a beast
Frank Gore enjoyed a 16 year NFL career after suffering 2 ACL tears while in college.
He wasn't a QB who had two shoulder surgeries as well it's a risk with a high pick that's why he probably gets picked between 10-20 in rd1.
The knock on Penix is he throws a great deep ball but his intermediate game isnt good. I watched a draft guy yesterday and he said a nfl scout told him this before the michigan game and Michigan took away the deep ball, which he does throw well and he was poor in that game. The nfl game doesnt give you 5 seconds to throw deep balls all the time, you have to hit underneath routes and the intermiate routes because the NFL is 2 or 3 seconds, and it has to be gone......
He at times can play inconsistent ...he missed some wide open receivers against Michigan, some of them that would have changed momentum during that game. Texas' Murphy and Sweat were in his face the whole game and he releases the ball with pressure in his face....he played perfect against Texas' great defensive line and was incredibly pinpoint accurate. Michigan's defensive pressure was no better than Texas, there were many plays Penix normally makes that he just didn't make against Michigan. When Penix is on, he's the best pocket qb coming out of college and most pro-ready that I've ever seen in a long time.
That's why I believe Bo Nix is the better QB.
This is why couch scouts have no idea what they’re talking about. Even the best QBs in the league have missed a receiver every now and then and then. The top 2 defenses in the country played well against him. That doesn’t mean his overall intermediate game isn’t good. These same scouts thought that Brady should’ve went in the 6th round.
@@jnrodriguez11this is why I don’t. Bo Nix is not as accurate.
why is there ZERO highlights/footage of him in the natty? because he got exposed against an NFL ready team Michigan.
Ok, I am on board.
Welcome aboard!
Okay the Penix injury concerns are valid but think of it this way when considering the position of QB. Do you think Cincinnati Bengals regret drafting Joe Burrow #1 overall only to suffer season ending knee & wrist injuries? IMO absolutely not!
Comparing Burrow to Penix is laughable.
@@jnrodriguez11 I was not comparing them as QB's. I was attempting to show Burrow was a #1 pick and had 2 season ending injuries.
@@jnrodriguez11in terms of injury history you nincompoop.
2024 QB class is loaded.
He had an elite Offensive line that played against overmatched opponents. He wont have that in the NFL. We saw what happened against an elite Michigan defense. Just wait til he feels that NFL pressure.
Yep. He had been making simple reads with all kinds of time all year until he played against some grown men.
Texas' Murphy and Sweat were in his face the whole game and they have the best interior line in the country. Pennix still tore them up by releasing the ball quickly with anticipation and touch on his passes. Penix had by far the lowest sack rate in the country...he is a master of the pocket. Pennix was off against Michigan and missed some wide open receivers including one to Odunze who was wide open and would have went for a TD, which would have effected the momentum during that game against Michigan. Also, Pennix hit Odunze on a deep pass as he was hit when the score was 20-13 late in the game but was called back because of a holding penalty. If Pennix played against Michigan liked he did against Texas, that game would have been much closer at the end. Plus Pennix was playing hurt in the second half.
Good stuff, Chase. Love these qb breakdowns. Have you looked at Pratt from Tulane. My gut tells me this guy can play after looking at breakdowns of his game.
Yes I have! He’s a good player!
I hope he winds up with the Commanders.. I like Daniels, MaCarthy and Penix.. I'm good if the commanders wind up with either one of them !
Love your content! It's awesome it's to drill into the details and your knowledge. I really feel if Penix is protected with a stacked line, he could be the 2nd best QB in this draft class.
Thank you!
The top 3 QBs lost ah combined 16 loses this yr alone ...PENNIX lost 1 games his last game ...do the math who's the best
I’m big time drinking the koolaid on Penix, that arm talent is just nasty
As a Raider fan, I hope we are able to nab him in the first round. He has great arm talent. The only knock, besides health questions, that I really hear from analyst folks is his short-passing game, citing the National Championship as an example of a defense taking away the deep game, and forcing Penix to play in a more short to intermediate quick rhythm passing game, of which he struggled. But, I'm just a fan I don't know much! Ha!
#raidernation there’s a good chance
He is going to be a really good pro.
Falcons! Rise Up!
I hope Patriots trade out of pick 3 with Minnesota for picks 11 + 23 + 2025 1st and grab Odunze at pick 11 and Penix at pick 23. Penix arm strength, ability to scramble and run (when needed he ran a 4.46 40 yard dash unofficially). I'm telling you this guy is legit and translates at the next level.
Lol, or the Vikings could do the same thing and keep their 2025 1st round pick.
Of course they could. That is a rumored trade you know… as a Pats fan I’d be happy either way trading back or staying put.
The Vikings would have to be retarded to trade 3 number 1’s to the Pats… That’s ridiculous imo… Not going to happen… Almost no chance when they can stand Pat and draft Penix at 11 or maybe roll dice and grab him at 23… No chance they make that trade at that price, imo…
Penix is QB2 behind caleb for me... hope the Raiders take him he would be perfect for them and turn them into contenders in a tough division
Will be following Penix's career. Hope he does well.
He's been my favorite QB coming out of college last season, as a raiders fan, I hope they draft him. As a Texas fan, this game was so frustrating to watch, they were playing good tight Defense all game, but they couldn't do anything against Penix, dude was just placing the ball perfectly all game.
Penix Jr. is the best QB in the draft by a wide margin-and he’s the most NFL ready. He’s the only one that plays on time and he already consistently throws the ball with leverage. All the media analysts and GMs don’t know shit about football and are just pushing the narrative or reading a script.
He understands leverages and pre snap I think he has ability to play like Stroud
Thank you for the educational and informative analysis. Go Raiders!!!
You bet
Hes better than Williams.. never was i worried about williams winning it for his team. Pennix did it time and time again. If he can stay healthy he is easily the best in this class. Drafted late 1st round he will be in a dream spot. To learn for a year or 2 and wham hes golden.
@ChaseDanielShow given that you spent some time with Sean Payton…would Penix be a good fit in his offense?
He is the modern left handed version of... Dan Fouts! More athletic but van make every throw and works the pocket like a master of his craft
I love Mike Penix all day. Nobody knows what's gonna happen🙂👌👍
The guy can make any and every throw, in anticipation and rhythm, with fairly good ability to see the field and sense pressure. He does it all. Id take the gamble on his health before id trade up and gamble that another qb can learn to do what he does. Imagine him throwing to JJ, hockensen, and Addison
Penix without doubt has the strongest arm from a pure pocket passer presence 💪 and should be considered more QB 2 or 3 in this draft, if teams weren't so scared of his injuries I believe he would be the 2nd QB coming off the board, and he a lefty, which coaches forget to prepare for
He's my pick for QB1 this draft. I absolutely love watching him throw the football. Him being a lefty is icing on the cake too as it flips the field for his preferred areas to target, in a league where there is only one other active lefty, that could lead to some discomfort for opposing defenses.
I dont think you can argue that there is a better thrower around than Penix. In a clean pocket on his spot, I would say hes easily the best player in the draft. He has as good as an arm as anyone except for maybe Mahomes and Allen. It would be nice to see what he could do in the NFL under pressure. Can he stay healthy and can he avoid the rush are the 2 questions I have. Unforunately, we arent going to find out for a while, he should be the starter for a team, but its likely hes on the bench for at least 2yrs and he doesnt need that at all.
This man has to go to the Giants , Daboll has to be drooling over the verical game plus Aaron Wellman who was the Senior Assistant Athletic Director for Football Performance at Indiana while Penix was there and he is now the Giants Executive director of player performance. So they should have first hand knowledge of the injury history
which that deep ball to Jalin Hyatt could be wonderful
now that's intel!
Dude is amazing. He has been running college offenses wonderfully. Like most of the other guys the question is pre snap adjustments. He is super calm but shouldn’t even be in some of these spots if pre snap reads allow for play changes. Time will tell on almost all of them.
Couldn't agree more
My tiers: 1 - Williams 2 - Penix, Maye, Daniels, McCarthy 3- Pratt, Nix, Rattler
Nix got game 2
Bo Nix just threw 45 TD to 3 INT on 77% completion with worse receivers than Daniels
@@lucascaron4145 I don't see it with Nix. Tier 2 is basically, I wouldn't be surprised if any of these guys end up being the best QB in the draft. I can't see that with Nix. How many of those passes and TD were thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Troy Franklin isn't a scrub. I think Penix makes his receivers better, turns 50-50 balls into 75-25 balls. He only got good late in his career(Penix was good at Indiana and just got hurt.). I'm just a fan with opinions though. Not pretending to be a real scout.
Williams is overrated.
Great breakdown
Like the pick for the ATL. Enjoyed watching him play last season.
BEST Qb in 2024 draft!
As a Husky fan, I love that he is in the discussion…but having watched every game this year, I thought he was pretty average and even poor when he was pressured and couldn’t sit in the pocket. Yes…he was able to do what was needed to win in the end, but I would be worried about his decision making under pressure.
Daniels was a beast the teams that he played on were crazy to get rid of him
Love how all these experts (not Chase) keep saying he doesn’t throw over the middle! Give me a break! Like these receivers are running choice routs over the middle of the field at times based on the coverage and Penix is literally throwing to where the receiver WILL be! You don’t get more pro game than that! That’s why in the NATTY you saw him throw passes where you were like wtf? Clearly him and his wr’s saw a few plays different but that credit goes to the Michigan defense. He had one bad game and everyone wants to forget him. And I’m not even a UW fan! The other one I hear is he doesn’t deal well with pressure! 😂 GTFOOH!
He beat Texas and ut took a comeback orchestrated by him!
He's a Rrraaaidaa! With Al Davis's accent!!!!!!
Cant handle pressure at all! Byron murphy right in his face.... the only people talking shit are the ones who only watched the natty
He is the second best quarterback behind Caleb!!
I think the Commanders have the most to lose not picking him. The last thing you want at pick two. Is to not necessarily get the second best qb in the draft.
I literally just sub because you was a CHIEF. Much love brotha ❤
The Pats should have hosted a visit for this guy. If you are having McCarthy visit, then you should be having Penix come visit. Heisman finalist and the guy on the other side of the National Championship game. Funny how he gets punished for making it to the Nat'l Championship and losing while being the primary reason they made it there (Odunze is a piece of this, too). The McCarthy hype is adding a chip to this guy's shoulders, and he already has big ones. He is going to terrorize a division when he gets there.
ATL should draft him at 8 IF hes still there Obviouslynl would be BPA
Future Seahawk with Ryan Grubb leading that offense.
This has nothing to do with penix but my son is named Chace Daniel Workman and when he was a toddler you were playing in a pre season game and every time the announcer said your name he got excited he thought they were talking about him 😂
I really appreciate these breakdowns. Makes noobs like me better NFL fans.
Thanks for those kind words
I've been beating this drum since I first watched film of the top QBs. Penix continually outshines all the others. I get the Caleb Williams infatuation, but pound for pound, pick for pick, Penix is the pick by far. You can get him cheap relatively speaking, it'll cost a fortune to get anyone else if you don't have a top 5 pick.
At least you didn't get JJ McCarthy. He is going to be a huge bust of Zach Wilson proportions. Its easy to get stats when you have a blue chip O-line and defense. Penix Jr didn't have that.
That throwing motion is designed for the edge to reach out and knock the ball out of his hand. That's a huge problem.
Stabler was a Lefty and he was my favorite quarterback
