Im impressed about the falcon wing doors not hitting other cars the engineers on that car really work hard for it
this is basic design, if the doors did hit other cars, it would be outrageous

@@shyshyalt I am an engineering student and my entire family is filled with engineers. I know how this process works. You are the biggest meat rider i have seen wtf 😭😭. Shipping a feature that works as intended is basic engineering. You must test your new feature before release. If the falcon wing doors didnt work, people would be outraged that they spent $150k on a car where the doors dont even work. I dont think you understand that engineering is a huge process and takes hundreds of people to design and implement something as big as falcon wing doors. They obviously tested it before releasing 😭 Elon musk did not design this himself at all. There are entire teams who work on this. Its always the uneducated blue collar idiots who support these stupid agendas.

I definitely would love to have that feature (for driver side at least). Far too many people I have encountered always park in the most stupid, awkward, and ignorant way possible. But that or even summoning feature would be terrific for such incident. Or even the 8 security camera all around the car would be something I be interested as well

The rear doors are actually a great tradeoff, as day to day, the falcon wing doors aren't too fun to deal/live with as they can often glitch. Rear doors, being used less often, a good way to integrate an emergency entry point without having to deal with the inconvenience every time the driver gets in.

It would make sense if it was the front doors. If you still have to shimmy your way to the front, you might as well get in through the trunk, lay the back seats and shimmy to the front. And it would only be useful if someone blocked you because choosing to park like that still blocks the other cars' doors.

Yeah but on Teslas you can remotely move the car in and out of a parking spot anyways

why not use summon to move the X forward and access all doors fully?
try it in a low roof garage, see if it hits the top of the ceiling
It wont, i tried to do the "light show" in a parking garage with a low ceiling and it wont even initiate
We own a model x in a low garage and whenever we open the door it always stops before it hits the roof
@pogauto what do you have ur radar connected too? I had refresh model x as well but I had to connect in middle drawer
I ran a 12v extension cable through the center console there is a hole that drops to the bottom of the center console to the passenger side under the carpet

You should use your key fob to open the falcon doors since the sensors are detecting you and stopping door perhaps

Don’t try this with the other cars’ mirrors in the way of the Falcon doors. Ask me how I know… 😅 Luckily it was a Tesla demo X at a Tesla dealership. 👍

For all of you saying you can just summon the car out. 1. Summon is part of EAP for $6400 or FSD for $12800 plus tax here in Canada so it’s optional. 2. I did the summon test for you right after filming this video. Only if you can access the front of the car if you open you can’t get in from the rear since the sliding door will take the space
