James Tour Gets EXPOSED by His Own Colleagues

In my last few videos exposing James Tour, I included testimonies from several of his colleagues, who outlined in great detail how James commits plagiarism and fraud to get his publications. The interactions got a little buried amidst all the debunking, so I thought it would be fitting to make a separate video that consists exclusively of those interviews, since it is important information that everyone should know about this vile charlatan. If you want more context, visit the James Tour playlist below and watch the two videos immediately preceding this one, which this material is pulled from.

He sounds more and more like an evangelical apologist every day. Those guys love to inflate and distort, and it seems like a practice he has welcomed into his professional life as well. Turning a colleague's funeral into a sermon on creationism is especially disgusting. These people love to crow about morality, but hardly any of them display morality in any capacity.

    • Yes, having dealt with people like this, they get to where they are by investing all their energy and intellect in self-promotion rather than improving themselves. They basically make the Gish Gallup their career. Colleagues, out of professional courtesy, give them the benefit of the doubt that they’re operating with integrity, and any mistakes will get filtered out in the review process. Ones that challenge them usually give up because they have to take time away from their own work to counter all the B.S., leaving management to believe any conflict they witness is just valid debate among worthy peers. They have a sixth sense about accountability catching up to them, and will change jobs (or in Tour’s case, field of study) while their reputations are still intact.

  • I got to say, I find it fascinating when people like Tour promote religion in a way that basically requires them to believe that the laws of physics, chemistry, and biology are wrong. Because, to be very clear, that’s necessarily what is happening when Tour denies OOL. The field is so well grounded in many of the most basic tenants of science that to deny OOL in the way Tour does requires a denial of science

    @jloiben12@jloiben122 ай бұрын
    • Agreed. I recently saw a James Tour short in which he said to stop the OOL research because we are far from understanding abiogenesis. What kind of a scientist will call for the halting of a whole scientific field? Especially one that regards our first origins.

      @catboom6712@catboom67122 ай бұрын
    • @@catboom6712 Yeah, if he was honest he would provide a new model or even a simple new hypothesis rather than call for the halting of the entire field. He doesn't even call out particular models in specific (and no, molecules making a slithering land creature is not a model of abiogenesis). He just says that the concept of abiogenesis itself is impossible, which violates the basic philosophical postulate of all science and clearly invokes a designer.

When I was producing papers id manage maybe two a year if I was lucky, what with the time taken to do the experiments, analyse the data, write it up, go through editors comments, etc. Even assuming a super fast turnaround of 1 a month,thats 58 years worth right there. Obviously Wee Jimmy, as a PI, isnt going to be doing it all himself, but even if he had, say, a team of postdocs churning out a paper a month thats still ten years non-stop. So I can only surmise based purely on the maths that hes either published the same thing in different places, and/or he's mostly one of those authors in the middle who maybe made a suggestion down the pub or provided an old dataset.
