Will this 1931 Model AA dump truck run after setting for over 75 years without the hood and after being in a wreck over 75 years ago
This truck was in a salvage yard about 45 years ago when it was purchased for yard art, and for the past 45 years, it was used as your art for a construction business until I bought the truck we had to change the camshaft, change the transmission and clutch to get this old truck running after it set for over 75 years
Love these videos. No fancy shop with expensive lifts. No pile of new parts worth thousands of dollars. Just a guy with his tools and next thing you know it's running.
Indeed. I did feel a bit sorry for him due to all that mud and puddles of water. Dry ground makes a much more pleasant working environment. But at least nothing on the ground would catch fire when it was like that!
Much more interesting to see someone take on a project with what they got
One of the things that makes Vice Grip Garage interesting when on the rescues. @@LitRomney-vb6pz
Hoe would you put lifts into the mud? Go to a tall building if you want to see any lift.
shoot i got a lift and a garage that looks like it’s about to fall but its not its fine it was built with left over material and recycled materials the cinderblocks we used was from a bridge that was tore down
*entire screen is flames* “As you can see, something is still on fire…”
He is so calm and polite, he must have british ancestors.
@@macdaniel6029 Spoken like someone who has never been to Britain.
@@BlueXonar My sister lives in London.
Sounds like Mr Mackey lmao
@@EoCx1 fires bad mmmmkaaay
Talented people doing talented things. In this age of angry videos and antagonism, videos like this are a breath of fresh air. Keep up the truly excellent work!
U are right specially here in Ukraine believe me.
No cursing or frustration. Despite working on something most folks would just shake their head at, and even despite a fire, this guy is calm, positive, and brave. Love it
When I was about 10, i was helping my grandad work on something (I can't remember what), he told me never be a mechanic; it'll make you cuss. You know he was right.
Only this man could use the phrase “not that bad” when looking into this motor😂
Hell my truck won’t start after a week
También volver de muy mal genio@@panders55
“Hopefully she will start pretty easy”😂 I love this guy
He walks up to a literal pile of metal with the crankshaft laying next to a bare block: "All right, this ole girl looks like a runner"
Optimist would be a huge understatement :D
I like that you skipped the power washer, and went straight to the fire.
"Cook the engine at 350" ....until it's golden brown, or oily black, one or the other. 😅 Good work getting the old girl running!
He almost cooked his arm at 350! Love this guy’s guts.
350" (" inches or maybe °'s ?)
The best revival channel on KZhead. You take on motors others have left for dead and start them. No crappy music, no fancy tools, just grit and determination. Perfect!
Check out Marty T. Same sort of thing but in New Zealand!
@@fastfishtoo4991 It might be easier understanding NZ talk than US redneck ; ) JK, I understand 'neck fluently.
I really appreciate your content. So many channels are no longer enjoyable, but your channel has remained true to the premise of getting old iron running. Thanks!
Got to admit the guy certainly is the eternal optimist that never gives up!
00:06 "missing some pieces" is an understatement... 😄😄😄
I love these videos.
Me too 🤠
Same🙋🏽♂️
I love them more
Me too!
I never knew a 4' crowbar was such a good multitool until I started watching this channel
That's for sure! I'm expecting him to open a can of soup with it, square up a garage, and chisel a letter into a flat rock Flintstone style.
You are the king of getting hopeless engines running!! Exciting video!! We got to see snow, fire under the engine, fire in the engine, engine removal, engine reinstalled, leaks, holes in the oil pan etc., but you still got it running. Doesn't get much better than this!!
Seeing a Model a video… just made my day 1000% better !!
Dude! You never cease to amaze me man! You have skills and patience! And the passion to be able to revive this engine’s is beyond belief! Amazing job! I definitely enjoy them!
Need to name that old engine Lazarus, as you well and truly brought it back from the dead!
Good analogy
👍😀
My dad has 32 BB that's in nice shape, all original. He hasn't tried starting it, but he knows the engine won't turn over. He's thinking about selling it, and for the price he's asking, I believe I can flip the bill. You're a true inspiration to dedication to projects you take on! Thumbs up on all of your videos.
been a main dealer mechanic for 44yrs, you are impressive man... thankyou
Man , nothing but fire 🔥 on this adventure !!! Luv it 💪😎
I've been binge watching this channel all day yesterday I can't get enough of these OLD start cold starts
Guilty pleasure, wish my man would get a regular upload schedule these days!... but of course, that's me being greedy 😅
@@anton101101 This channel is a gem. 250k subs, no sponsoring or anything, just straight to the point no BS action. I love it!
Kudos to you for having the patience and wherewithal to put life into these old engines. And thanks for sharing your efforts, too!👍👍
You sure know how to get those antiques going and I really enjoy watching you work to get them running.
This brings me joy watching old engines getting revived, how about a 'Will it run' for motorcycles next? Would love that.
You'd love The Bearded Mechanic, aka Craig, formerly of Bikes and Beards. He revives dead bikes all the time.
I wish I had just half of this guys automotive talents. Love the channel. Thank you for posting.
Your optimism is incredible. Great work!
The first "Will it run" video that starts with lighting it on fire! You can't argue with the results though. Well done!
Excellent! Im a lover of the really old stuff and your videos show folks that they ain't so scary. People, drag these old rigs out of the fields and have fun!
I just love watching wrecked cars getting back to life
Jennings Motor BBQ. Only the finest dry aged motors served here. 😋😋 Thanks for all of your videos.
You are a savage where old iron is concerned! The fire was sweet! Glad you weren't harmed in the making of this video. Another fine rebirth!
I just discovered this channel not too long ago and I really enjoy watching you start these engines up. There's something fascinating about seeing them want to run even though they're in horrible condition.
A true “Grapes Of Wrath” style rebuild. An excellent video, and thank you for making it.
I've learned so much from watching you work on these old jalopys that I tried my own will it run got it running and it was the greatest feeling ever 😊👍
This is one charismatic man, love these videos and his commentary. I wanna see him try and get an abandoned big rig started
Great effort in getting that old engine going. Your skills in fixing engines are amazing. Keep up the great work.
I love these videos. It is so refreshing to see a young feller bring these old vehicles back to life the way they did years ago and not by just throwing a full assortment of new parts at it like so many do. These videos prove there is still at least one real mechanic left
Love to see that truck up and running ,then restored it unique ! Cheers mate from Australia 🇦🇺 😊😊
I’m always amazed at the dinosaurs you find to try to get running! Too cool!
me and my husband just love to watch videos like this 🙂
This is the best ever! My kinda video.... it amazed the whole family. Particularly loved the 'left hand' carburator.
The king of will it starts lol you are extremely tenacious and talented man. Love the videos
Gotta be the most optimistic will it start man on the net, puts massive effort into something that the majority of us would put on the weighbridge at the scrap yard,👍👍👍
You sure can make the dead get a boost on living again. You must me the luckiest mechanic or should I say the best mechanic that I watch on KZhead. You produce the videos that I would give A++++++++++ every time.
The campfire and the the iron stove was just awesome. Some of the best videos on KZhead
Hey, I've been watching a few of your video's lately, and i love to watch them, i love seeing you bringing those very old engines back to life, and it is so fascinating to see that even 75+ year old engines can still run, it really displays the good quality of those old engines, and how good they were builded that long time ago.
This guy is amazing
Love how you persevere until you get them running - and they nearly always do. Also, she didn't want to be woken did she. Definitely reluctant to wake from her slumber.
Always look forward to your videos just wish you would make more of them
It's unbelievable you can take something that has sat so long and everyone has given up on except you 👍😁
This was one of the hardest ones you did! Good job. Never change man.
I really enjoy your videos! Glad you didn't get burned Brother👍
Bloody brilliant, most people wouldn't even attempt that engine but tho and behold she lives again
Just gotta say that I truly admire your skills. You've got a lot of know-how in that young head of yours.
Wild the things you bring back to life... I lookforward to your videos. Cheers from SoCal

You are an inspiration for me to get at some of my oldies. You have a good attitude about it.
Good morning from Cape Cod 🦈 it is absolutely amazing that you get these old vehicles running after sitting as long as they have. I'm looking forward to seeing the continuation on the Diamond T. Keep up the great work and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
After 75 years you gave it life awesome 👍
You're awesome brother! I love how you take the licks as they come and roll right through it! 💪👊💥appreciate your great content and always staying true!! Thank you..
this is in better shape than some of my buddies daily-drivers.
Better electrical than my 96 ram 1500 with the 318. Ha! Awesome
if thats the case your buddy needs some serious help
From one Arkie to a fellow Arkie:: You are the king of “ Will it run “
Nothing short of amazing!
Love the honest commentary and hard work.
Loved hearing that old truck running, imagine when engines like this were all over the place, what a sound!
You are the most amazing man on here. I follow a lot of channels but by far this one is my favorite! Thank you
I ran to the store to get the hotdogs and marsh mellows. So awesome.
Always excited to watch your videos. Its very satisfying when you get something that shouldnt run back up and running. Cant wait for more on the cuda. 🙂
Ole Henry would be proud to hear it still run today. The newer engines not so much, my 08 V10 sat for 6 months n shes locked up
I feel like you and merlins old school garage should do a revival together. You guys are the only channels I've seen working on stuff this old.
Your great attitude and patience amazes me. Great job! Keep the videos coming.
Just found your channel. I really enjoyed it. You’ve got lots of old treasures out there! I’ll be back
Excellent video Jennings :) also amazing that motor run after swapping parts to help out ! Sounds nice when running to and much more!
you manage to continuously surprise me. I love your videos
Thats awesome after all those years exposed to all the elements she runs
Love your reactions😂😂. The engine starts on fire and all you say is "uh oh" 😂.
How? It's amazing you get these old vehicles running certainly a very patient talent you have! Fantastic vid as always
you guys are awsome.love seeing the old ones run again.thank you
The dedication you have is amazing
Always a treat to watch you get these old gems running. It's even fun when you don't. This is definitely one of my favorite KZhead channels and I always look forward to the new ones. Keep up the good work!
The casual use of fire in this video is amazing. 7:50, 11:50, and 21:05 are all amazing.
I’ve asked myself why bother but to each his own. I admire you my friend.
Too damn cool watching these, there’s a guy out here with hundred or so cars he’s been rounding up over the years a lot of old stuff 10’s and 20’s love to see you get some of it running. His stuff all abandoned and not run for several decades. He’s got an old Mack truck from WWI I’d live to see that thing start and drive.
Excellent work! She runs!!!
The good old light a fire under it trick. Nice !
Your good character is as evident as your extraordinary skills. Thank you.
Best engine doctor in the world here. Fantastic!!!!
I know Jennings lives in the same world we all do, but his videos take you away from all the stupidity that seems to be everywhere...I am so envious of his ability to be away from it all & just tinkering with old stuff.
HI JMS,,, MY SON MAX 8 YR.S SAYS YOU HAVE THE COOLEST VIDEOS AND YOU LIKE THE OLD TRUCK AND YOUR YOUNG ...I AM OLDER AND YOUR TEACHING ME SOME THING...WOW !!!! IF THAT OLD TRUCK COULD TALK ,,SHE SAYS AM ALIVE ..THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello my friend! hugs from Brazil! I've watched all your videos!
You can tell he is just a good person all around just by listening how he speaks . Positive attitude keep doing your work man I like watching
Old mate's sense of optimism is refreshing to say the least, I'd have said the words "scrap iron" but he isn't fazed by anything. Nice to hear. "Somethin' aint valvolatin' properly" man NOTHING puts him off, this is pure entertainment and I think I'll subscribe. Nothing but respect for him.
This shows just how tuff and resilient the old school technology is compared to todays junk. Well done mate keep up the good work.
Love watching these, helps give sleep lowkey
Yo Jennings your content is some of the best raw content I've seen. You are truly a spectacle!
"We´re gonna get this old girl running" I´m just seeing a pile of rust and moss, it´s incredible how these old machines can be brought back to life, i´d never imagine it would run again :D
