I watched the hulk as a kid in the 70's. Still love it as an adult.
I don't know why Banner was locked in that compartment? There's nothing the Hulk can't escape from.
The HULK knows that, but OTHERS don't know that.
This episode is great. Perhaps the best of the first season. Forty five year old spoiler: David takes it upon himself to land the plane when the crew has been incapacitated and, yup, he turns into The Hulk. But, it's cool because he's fighting it off and as result, he slows down the process for a minute or so. It's fascinating watching him struggle to land the aircraft and hold off The Hulk, shots of his gradually growing body ripping out of his shirt. Great acting by Bix in the contacts and green makeup. His shirt is even smaller in the shot, making it more believable that his body is expanding. A sign it's an early episode: Hulk keeps his shirt on during his rampage.
Poor David always getting himself into a death trap. Hulk always rescues David but David wants to get rid of him.
