No CGI of the Hulk will ever replace Lou Ferrigno as the Incredible Hulk. Ever.
Bill Bixby played a super role as Banner also...I totally agree about Lou Ferrigno as well. Lou will always be THE HULK. They both made that show a legacy and created a lifetime of good memories for you, me, and many many others! RIP Mr. Bixby!!
Heh. What i just got done telling this other guy.
Like a straight up gangsta... bitches!
That's a nice personal conjecture but not science of technological realism.
Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno are outstanding.
Rip To A Great Actor Bill Bixby, We Still Miss You
I Miss my Grandpa, cooking Hamburgers for us. while we were watching this great show every Saturday.
Lou Ferrigno will always be the Incredible Hulk!! And Bill Bixby will always be David Bruce Banner!! So sad he passed at a young age...RIP Mr. Bixby!!
Did Bixby have any sons that could carry on his legacy in a reboot? This show should definitely have a reboot.
@@jasonirelan4487 Bill Bixby's only child (a son) died years ago.
As much as David wanted to rid himself of The Hulk, I know this was one of the times he was glad he could turn into The Hulk.
Everyone keeps talking about how David wanted to rid himself of becoming the Hulk and wanted to find a cure of turning into him, but he's the one who experimented on himself to become the Hulk in the first place, just saying.
@@jabbersb6304That wasn’t the point of his post. Everyone knows his experiment is what made him the creature. Before you just say something learn reading comprehension.
I like how the Hulk could of easily escaped much sooner, but he wanted to complete his full set of the shoulder press first. Respect.
Dr. Banner's only issue was that everywhere he went he managed to find people that tried to kill him.
How else would the hulk appear then
Let's see here...show ran for six seasons...each season had 15 episodes...David got his ass beat two times per show...that's 30.ass beatings per year times 6 equals 180 ass beatings in a six year period...wow...apparently David is a trouble maker par none!!
@@antomano5623 Still... how much bad luck can any guy have??
I guess it all goes back to the fact that had he not accidentally overdosed himself with gamma radiation and became the creature he would never have had to go on the run and consequently if he wasn't on the run he wouldn't have come in contact with the situations and people that caused him near death experiences
He learned the world can be a tough place.
This show, along with Dukes of Hazzard and Dallas were part of the Friday Night lineup on Channel 10 (CBS) when I was growing up. Thanks for the memories, Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.
An unbeatable lineup of shows.
Yes! I remember!!!

Six Million Dollar Man!! 🦾
I fondly remember my Friday nights in younger days.
I like how the Hulk is at 08:06 "Ok enough exercice for today , time to get out"
Yep, he definitely managed to set a full set in, and even set a PR.
Growing up, The Incredible Hulk and The Six Million Dollar Man were my favourite tv shows.

What a blockbuster episode if they joined forces.
Me too.
This was 1970's superhero television at its finest.
Absolutely. Friday nights on CBS. Wonder Woman at 8 pm followed by The Incredible Hulk at 9 pm.
How about the Spiderman tv show in 1977 for 3 seasons and the Captain America movie in 79. Check them out. They were so hilarious because they were so fake and corny. Spidey shot his webshooter and a big rope web appeared around the bad guy. .watch them and you'll be laughing for hours maybe days. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
My brother says Wonder Woman was good to. I prefer Incredible Hulk.
the six million dollar man to mention just a few all great tv shows back then tv was worth watching
80s
I’m not ashamed to say that whenever he changed into the Hulk it scared the shit out of me as a child in the 70’s and apparently I used to hide behind the sofa when that noise came on and his eyes looked at the screen. 😬
I remember the first time I saw this show. Some guy had got into trouble at a rodeo. Suddenly his shirt started ripping and showing green skin underneath. I ran out of the house shouting "No! No! No! No!" 😅
Thank you, mr. Bill Bixby (rest in peace) Mr. Lou ferrigno, and Mr. Jack colvin, who played the pesky newsman, Jack magee. All three of you were the perfect combination that made the incredible hulk the classic iconic tv show it still is to date. Thank you for making my Friday nights so much fun. 😁
Llllll
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Also Rip Jack Colvin as He's Also Dead
I still Hate that they Never made a Scene where Jack Magee Meets David Banner and knows it's Him or Finds out David Banner is Alive. The whole Series makes No Sense and it's Disappointing that Plot Point was Never Resolved.
@@Kinseliplier there's an episode that shows Jack McGee saying, " Banner, OMG, you're alive" 😱
These Hulk outs saved David plenty of times.
He keeps looking for a cure, but at the rate he gets himself in trouble, if he did cure himself, he would soon be a dead man.
@@shawbros Being the Hulk is a blessing and a curse at the same time.
It's a double edged sword.
@@shawbros I know right he needs to thank god with those god like super powers he has.
"Hulk out" i like that 👍 They should use that in future movies, "Now Calm down David, don't hulk out on us" lol Reminds me of a drop dead gorgeous Russian girl that went to my High School for a short time, When shed get mad, I'd say, "Now Kat , short for (Katya), calm down, dont go all Communist on us, Lol" She was never amused by that, lol
Lou Ferrigno was the perfect actor to play the Hulk he had the physique the endurance and the power
Man, I had forgotten just how big Lou Ferrigno was. He did a great job of playing the live-action Hulk.
He was MASSIVE! I wonder what he's up to these days?
This was one of the Hulk's most impressive feats able to hold back tons and tons of hydraulic pressure.
Agreed. Also, in Prometheus when he gorilla presses that enormous military grade hydraulic press to escape was probably his peak.
For the TV version I guess. Any other movie/comic version would have shoved that lid into the clouds.
@@bradp1679 No doubt the comics movies Hulk is stronger but so unrealistic. The tv version was almost believable to general audiences and played by a real person not CGI.
The gague (at 7:59) shows him resisting a max of about 2900 psi. I'm not sure how big the Hulk's hands are, but that's like pressing 1.45 US tons.
I would love to see that scene again.
Man, David just couldn't get a break. Everywhere he went there were scumbags that caused him to Hulk out, thus forcing him to leave again to avoid McGee. I know that was the point, but still.
Anger Management For Hulk should be considered.
I'm 50yrs old. I've never met a grown adult man that gets in street fights once a week.

@Robert Vantine Underrated comment. LOL
May be because there was a safety inspector around, lol
Well you know OSHA is wanting to go after those that don't n wear hard hats, face masks or don't get the needle
I’d forgotten that they did such quiet transformations during the first season. Later seasons the added orchestration to emphasize the intense emotion involved, with the quiet music reserved for the turning back to Banner as the Hulk calms.
This was the only time they used the return to David sound. The first few episodes used a choir before they changed it to symph.

This is one of the best fictional TV shows from the golden age of TV. Doesn't matter if it's real or not, it made us (American's) who we were. Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno are the hero's from yester years.......
"Golden age of tv"! That's a good one!
Then, some time down the track he moved right next door to the king of Queen's and stood up to that passive aggressive bully who was careys dad , Arthur Spooner
Hard to define the "Golden age of TV." I was 11 years old in 1978 and I often heard my Dad and other people his age talk about the 1950s and 60s as the Golden age of TV. I loved this show as a kid. My Dad thought it was silly.
I'm 50 and I remember all the Hulk costumes on Halloween 🎃 💚

Best Hulk. We don't make shows like this anymore

The original and best Hulk
The weakest hulk of all though. He could be easily hurt such as being shot since his body wasn't bullet proof unlike hulk of today also he struggled to stop the lift crusher coming down when hulk today would easily be able to
The 1970's.
@@sexydudeuk2172 It was the 1970s and there were clearly limitations with the special effects and of course they only had a television budget to work with. So really it’s completely unfair to compare this Hulk to the MCU Hulk. With that being said even with its flaws and limitations, the Incredible Hulk tv show still managed to be a great and entertaining series.
Yeah the latest CGI is just trash.
Bring back memories
Bill Bixby was so good. Would of loved to have seen him in other productions
He was so handsome.
"My favorite Martian",The Courtship of Eddie's Father", The Magician" "The Incredible Hulk" were ALL the shows that Bill Bixby did!!!!!!!!! The first two where hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

Fantasy island, love american style.
He played in quite a few movies and series, including where he was the bad guy. He was a great actor. My favorite, so far, has been The Magician, but he was good in everything he did. He played with Elvis Presley twice and with Don Knotts. In The Magician, he worked with a very young Mark Hamill, and William Shatner and a few other big names.
Back in the day when Lou got paid for his script of one phrase, RRRWWWAAAAAHHHH!
He didn't even have to do that. The Hulks voice was Ted Cassidy and later Charles Napier. Lou did have to sit for hours being painted green and had to wear shitty contact lenses and a prosthetic nose , and then still find the time to work out enough to look like a passable Incredible Hulk. It was not an easy gig I bet

When I was a kid and saw the first trailer I was glued to the TV screen and memorized the time and day when it first aired. I told my parents who looked at me as a failure to society and almost sent me to my room with punishment. Then I waited after school for the 1st episode to appear and my parents were both astonished at what we were watching. This was something so new and so different we all sat together and watched every episode. My mom made tea 🍵 for all of us. I'm now old and miss every moment in time today with people who want kill me or die from the pandemic. I'm sad 😢.
I remember this episode vividly, even though I was only nine when it first aired. That hydraulic press freaked me out. I asked my parents if such a thing actually existed. Seeing it now is a blast. I recognize Jeremy Brett (Sherlock Holmes). And, of course, Loni. And I never realized how much Joe Harnell's music added to the effectiveness of the show.
From gamma radiation scientist to detective...Dr. Banner was the man.😂
Thank You Mr. LOU and Mr. BILL BiXBY for my childhood memories and starting my journey into becoming the comic book lover I am today. I love this show more than the original comic book character. I thought David Banner was the most gentle man I had ever seen.I had a tiny crush on him too. Lol
Excellent show, nobody can do a show like this ever again.
Which is why I find them on DVD. Just got the whole series.

💯🏆
Didn't know Loni Anderson was in a episode of the Hulk and I watched this faithfully 😁.
This aired in the spring of 1978 and WKRP in Cincinnati premiered that fall. Earlier in the year she had starred in a TV movie, Three on a Date, directed by Bill Bixby.
The Hulk was the coolest character!
it is insane how the Hulk was able to hold so much pressure (close to 3000 psi) which is about 192 TONS!. It would have been nice if he would have made the motor of the machine to break too.
Damm this hulk was much stronger than i thought
3000psi are 210,9 kg/cm²
@@nkuniverse7856 3000psi are 210,9 kg/cm²
Actually he can hold more than that and the angrier he gets the stronger he becomes , and acording to the og source the comics when he became world breaker hulk he was powerfull enought to destroy planets, Also note that Hulk has many personalities the most common being savage Hulk and devil hulk ( evil hulk ) wich is even stronger than savage hulk yet only slightly less powerfull than world braker hulk theres also joe fixit with a gangster like persona and the most cunning one called Maestro, and professor hulk is the union of hulks mind and banners , besides even if hulk somehow dies he can regenerate and revive as gamma is the power of a hellish dimension when he dies he does so only briefly coming back even more pissed off than before but he does have limits if he becomes way to angry and takes more damage than he can take he will revert to banner.
Original and best.. not cgi.. used to love this as a kid and even impersonating hulk was fun as a 6 /7 yr old 👍🏻
It's good to see even criminal organisations take health and safety seriously by wearing hard hats
As a life long hulk fan I grew up with this show and never took notice of certain things but now as a cynical adult I have to ask “WTF was the point of that guy wearing the hard hat” 🤣🤣🤣
Haha insurance company made him!
Bill Bixby was one of my favorite actors! He was so good!😍😆
Hundreds and hundreds of times as a kid, I watched David get upset and panic when he finds himself in these sticky situations… as if he doesn’t know he gonna be juuuuust fine…
To be fair, he doesn't really know the limits of the hulk. This hulk has been injured by bullets before and David can't really measure it's strength or durability. Any one of the situations he ends up in could be fatal for all he knows
The "Hulk Outs" definitely got more suspenseful as the show went on. This one was so-so. What a difference the crescendoing, pulsating music makes.
True, but this was arguably his biggest brush with death.
Although it was in its early stages....this is the 1st Hulk episode where they use the Hulk transformation soundtrack (which continued until the series finale).
"In ya go." That's funnier than it should be.
Read this just as he said that.
This show will forever be legendary and Bill Bixby and Lou ferrigno always did a good job in every episode. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.

Before her stint on WKRP & Cincinnati Loni Anderson played a bad girl. She played well.

Banner hates hulk but hulk saves the day & him in every episode.
When I was a kid I would cry when the sad music played at the end. 😢😂
That's peanuts!! When I was a kid, I would get more afraid of The Incredible Hulk if any episode was sponsored by General Electric, and I had to see the logo stand alone! At the time, I was deathly afraid that I would've gotten zapped into the TV screen and got tossed around like a ragdoll by the Hulk himself!! Not anymore!!
2:40. OMAFG!!! That's Jeremy Brett! The greatest Sherlock Holmes actor that ever lived!
Indeed it is! I thought so at first but knew for certain when I heard his voice. And yes, he is the greatest one! RIP Jeremy!
You may attribute many of your plaudits and accolades to this gentleman but not _all_ of them. Please keep some in reserve for Basil Rathbone, who is considered as the original Holmes, the detective that all other detectives are judged by.....Jeremy Brett, to I'd wager.
@@TheGeezzer Rathbone could have been the greatest, but he was let down by poor direction and scripts. They turned Holmes and Watson into caricatures of what they were meant to be. Brett and Hardwicke were the definitive pairing for anyone who cares about the source material.
