  • The `prototype´ shown on their website has now been discarded. Its only use was to further interest in pre-payments and investment. The current test vehicle is nothing more than a basic frame with gyros, and is chain driven. Apparently the electric hubs have been discarded too. A number of videos on Facebook show it driving slowly in a straight line and in a very shallow curve. No single element of the vehicle has been finalised. And yet pre-payment slots are still being sold and LIT maintains that the first production run is to commence in 2014. The project is rapidly disintegrating into a world of fantasy.

  • I've seen a few videos of this, but I've yet to find a clip of it actually turning a corner. Something tells me it'll have a wider turning radius than a car, let alone a motorcycle. Also dubious about the claimed 220 mile range. Even the latest electric motorcycles with huge batteries get about 60 miles.

  • How about a little boot space? An office goer / Sales person may need some brief case to be kept under his seat or some where safely. One more little seat for a child will help for commuting to school and back. These 2 little improvements will help in reducing the traffic congestion in most cities in the early morning hrs.

  • It's great to see it actually working, especially in reverse, but there's still a hell of a long way to go before this thing can 'flip flop' through a chicane, with precision, like a motorcycle, or indeed a Peraves Monotracer, which I will remind you, has been in production for many years now and whose electric version is much closer to sale, with 5 machines already on the road with full legality. I'm still very skeptical about the price and timescales predicted here, and if there's room for 2!

  • does anyone know why ther are 2 smaller gyros instead of one large gyro? is it because of the lag of the gyros? or why they decided to go with an electric version instead of gasoline? or why the founder would rather look like he is 14 instead of professional?otherwise it looks awesome.

  • As a car/bike nut, racer and kinda performance nerd if you're going to make something like this make the top-speed 90-100 ish and the range >300m/500km. You aren't going to sell it to anybody but the early adopters for 16-24k and for the most part they could care less for speed, range is where it's at and AS an early adopter myself I want the range. I have a handful of cars and bikes available if I wanna play.

  • I've answered in sequence of your questions not to repeat 'em. U started fun, I followed. To make fun a bit educational, read on gyroscopes in Wikipedia or physics, because a lot of guys are sure that heavy and high spinning gyros by themselves "balance" one-track vehicle with no control loop, or some even claim that two wheels of a moving bike balance it.. It's exponential B.S. times B.S. (see "dynamics of a bike" in Wikipedia too) ha, ha

  • When can I get it in India ? What will be the price of it in India? Make a hole on it 's roof. When cover of the hole is closed, then rain cannot enter in it's inner side.But when the cover is open it will function as a fan.Make it solar cum battery cum petrol provision.

  • The two gyros were too small for the sheer size and weight of the C1. I suggest they add one more gyro but too large for the battery to power it up plus the electronics and the motor. Another suggestion is the use of some light materials used by aviation industries and supercar manufacturers....Carbon fiber or Kevlar. The problem with those materials is it will make the C1 too expensive for what it is.

  • So,you call this a functioning prototype?

    @Dragonx7100@Dragonx710012 жыл бұрын
  • IT'S NOT A FUNCTIONING PROTOTYPE!!!! Use a Piaggio three-wheel configuration to hold an enclosed cabin instead of wasting money on gyros. A 3 wheeler also has more rubber on the road to help in cornering and stopping.

    @deezynar@deezynar10 жыл бұрын
    • More rubber means more friction means less efficient.

      @sqgl@sqgl10 жыл бұрын
    • sqgl 3 wheels are more efficient at stopping. 3 wheels are more efficient at staying upright on their own. Does it take more energy to push 3 wheels down the road? Yes, but not much more. Also, it takes energy to keep gyros spinning. Gyros are not just powered up to speed, they require added energy every time a turning force is applied to them. Every time the vehicle makes a turn the gyro feels resistance and will slow down if the motor doesn't power it back up to speed. In reality that may not be a problem since none of the several videos I've seen on this vehicle actually show it making a real turn. That was 3 months ago tho, maybe they have a video of it making turns now, I don't know.

      @deezynar@deezynar10 жыл бұрын
  • 2 gyros are to fit into tight space under seat and 2 failures at once are unlikely. e-drive is to use gyros for regenerative braking, to use hub motors (no hood and transmission), and to look "environmentalist". Asians look like teenagers till their 50-s. Yes, for the laity it looks awesome, but for those who can see conceptual faults it's not so.

  • It has the turningcircle of a moon and it's electric so it has a very limited range and will take a billion years to recharge. Worse even, after charging it a couple of times the batterylife will deteriorate. Let's stop this electric nonsense and try to find other alternatives. Use yeasts on an industrial scale to produce diesel for instance.
