Have you heard about dancing mania? While some mental conditions are well documented with treatment options, there are still others that we know very little about. In this video, we cover: erotomania, musical ear syndrome, visual snow syndrome, alien hand syndrome, folie a deux, hemispatial neglect, aphantasia, synesthesia, factitious disorder, and dancing mania. Which of these have you heard about before?

    • I have aphantasia and 90% of the time i just don't have dream or they are really short. But when i do dream i just wake up feeling a certain way (happy, sad, scared, ect) i can hear and feel stuff in my dreams but i never see anything. It's just pitch black then i wake up. And as an artist this is really difficult, because I'll have an idea but i won't know how it looks. It really sucks. I also have snow vision syndrome and it doesn't effect me too much, beside my pretty bad night vision, but it's manageable

She even stalk him on his social media, she texts him every day but obviously he never answers and doesn't even know about her but she deeply thinks that he has read everything and he does not answer because his wife is jealous and control him. I actually ended up crying once after seeing the disturbing static once, it really got on my nerves. • I know it's not technically a "disorder" but nobody really talks about Maladaptive Daydreaming and I think it's pretty cool (I have it myself). It's basically daydreaming elaborate and realistic fantasies (daydreams) and doing this for hours a day. It's also common to do it with music playing or pacing around on the floor. For example, I'll put on my headphones with music and walk in circles for hours daydreaming about characters I've built up over the years and specific plots. It's really cool, unless it begins to become distracting and causes you to loose focus on important tasks. Otherwise it's a great thing to do when you're bored :D

  • Visual snow sufferer here. I was diagnosed around a month ago and when I first started showing symptoms, I thought I was going blind so it caused me horrible distress and it was extremely concerning that no doctor seemed to have any idea what was causing it until I went into the hospital and did various tests for a week, and even now, every doctor I've spoken to said they've never heard of it before my case, I'm so glad awareness is being brought to it but I will say, for many people, it isn't mild and very much affects daily life. It comes with a whole host of symptoms besides the visuals, and there are varying presentations of the visual affects beyond the static. I have floaters, palinopsia, double vision, random colored spots in my peripheral vision, afterimages, and really bad light sensitivity, I cannot see outside without sunglasses. If I'm indoors I can forget about it depending on the light conditions, other times I have to wear sunglasses indoors. VSS is highly linked to migraines, I had debilitating ones every other day for a while. I also get frequent pain in the upper corners of my eyes toward my nose and my eyes get strained and fatigued easy. I have brain fog and memory issues. I also have tinnitus and insomnia, all of which I didn't have before my symptoms appeared. It causes a lot of abnormal effects that you wouldn't think it would cause, but neurological conditions tend to affect many parts of the body. It really sucks to live with, but I'm just glad this isn't something progressive, and I recently started treatment and I'm hoping for the best! Thank you for listening to my story!

Some potential causes of head rushes are: -Nervous system disorders -Dehydration (That’s all I could really find) I’d suggest: (after doing some research) -checking your medication (if you’re on any) because it could be causing low blood pressure -making sure you’re staying hydrated -standing up slowly (apparently clenching your leg muscles before standing up helps because it pushes blood around more) -if you get really dizzy after meals then it’s advised you eat smaller portions more regularly -apparently getting some exercise can help as well Please seek medical advise! IDK if I actually have this condition but I definitely do often think of numbers as colors, and sometimes days of the week, mostly thursday which is brown, and tuesday which is lighter brown.

  • Great video! :) I now realize how many of these I have, that I didn’t even know was an actual disorder 😭 Not that I’ve bee diagnosed, but from what I can gather, I definitely have musical ear syndrome. I thought it was normal this whole time too. But every time I’d say something like, “yeah, whenever a room is silent and it’s just me and my brain, I have like 25 different songs playing over each other at the same time, just repeating over and over” they’d tell me that’s not normal 💀 Another thing I definitely have is alien hand syndrome. I’ve always tried to explain this, but people don’t seem to understand. It happens rarely, thankfully, but very randomly. I love how they used a pencil as an example because that’s usually what I’m holding when it happens. I believe I have aphantasia, but it’s hard to explain. For example, I can’t picture an actual apple. It’s like my mind draws an apple. Especially with faces. For instance, I’ll be like “oh yeah, I know my mom’s face. I can picture it.” But when I actually think about it, it’s not actually her face. It’s hard to explain. Anyways, it’s interesting to learn more about these disorders :) thanks for the video

  • I have musical ear syndrome, visual snow syndrome, and synthesia. It is hard to sleep with musical ear syndrome because of hearing loud sounds and instruments in the middle of the night due to the silence, and it really scares me when it happens. One time, it drove me to the point where my family and I had to help me calm down for an hour after having a mental breakdown because of it. On the other hand, visual snow syndrome and synthesia are fun ones. Seeing the static is so cool and can be an ASMR experience while synthesia can be fun to write what colors or words to with which colors and words. Also when listening to music, I also taste certain things and people say it's colors, which seems pretty cool! Some downsides are that when I'm trying to walk and I start seeing static, it's dark and I run into everything and it's bad. I'm glad you made this video so I can find out which I have and that people out there have it with me!
