Just a tip from someone who used to clean homes for a living, before you wet the surface of anything your cleaning make sure you clean the dust off 1st with a dry rag because when you wet anything that has dust it makes it sooo much harder to clean and don’t use anything that has ammonia in it, it attracts dust.

May I ask how do you keep pet hair off the stove and fridge ? And off the baseboard ? Would really appreciate your feedback.
@samanthasalazar8685 Жыл бұрын
@@samanthasalazar8685 unfortunately there is no real solution to prevent it from happening, however a lot of people are using cleaners that contain ammonia and that is the biggest culprit for attracting dust and pet hair. If you have stainless steel appliances use the brand sprayway stainless steel cleaner I find that it prevents a lot of the clinging that can happen with pet hair. I have pets too so I know. With base boards how I clean them is, I use the Bona Premium microfiber floor mop. I use it dry 1st to remove dust and pet hair, then I use it wet with just water and then, on the mop I spray the sprayway all purpose cleaner on the mop and I use it to finish off the base boards and I actually find that it prevents dust and hair from sticking on to it. Now it’s not a miracle solution but it will prevent most of the hair from sticking to it for a-lot longer. Same thing with floor cleaners whether you have hard wood, vinyl, marble, or carpets make sure you don’t use anything containing ammonia. I hope this helps.

My mother was a custodian for our local university and the one thing that always wowed people was her ability to clean baseboards and doors. Her trick was Scrub and Bubbles (well the dollar tree version), however any foaming spray cleaner would do the trick. Just spray them and wipe with a warm damp cloth. It literally is magic. I'm a housekeeper also and using the dawn spray It's just too much heavy soap Because it is concentrated. you can use just as simple multi-purpose as long as it doesn't contain bleach because it can mess up the paint on the wall. Diluting a TINY drop of bleach and an eighth of a cup of Gain or Tide in your mop bucket and switching to a clean mop head will clean up the walls and baseboards beautifully and leave your home smelling fabulous!

yes but my mom's baseboards were carpeted room's I was literally rolling on the floor cleaning those baseboards.
So your channel is coming when🤗
May I ask how do you keep pet hair off the stove and fridge ? And off the baseboard ? Would really appreciate your feedback.

The dirt will come right off and your whole room will feel clean... almost brighter in a way...lol... I love cleaning things that automatically give you instant satisfaction
So much from dollar stores closing 😢 What a great suggestion
Thanks for this tip. Gonna go get some soon.
for baseboard maintenance: use your broom to sweep them once a week.
Never thought of that. Mine are old 1950's baseboards
For doing my baseboards I put a old pillow case over the end of my broom and used an elastic to hold it in place. I sprayed my baseboards, let it sit for a few minutes and swept away. The broom gets into little crevices.
I would not be using a Grout brush, I have one! and that would scratch all the paint....in the second part, she wrapped it with cloth.....that's okay, and I would be careful what I sprayed.
What do you spray with?
This makes way more sense! That brush she's using is super harsh and will scratch paint off.
@@INEEDGODMOST that zepp brand makes a wall cleaner that works well for this. I use pine sol and water sometimes too
Yes, I use my broom as well
EXACTLY what I needed to know!!! I have to get these done but have back problems!!! Thanks
Be smart and use the vacuum stick to pick up the dust and with a mop wipe it. No need for extra anything.
Get someone else to do it
Great ideas! Thanks 😊
Even better? Use an automatic sponge mop that you squeeze to damp with fabuloso or even dish soap. Works amazing and you don’t get stuck with all the gunk on the bottom of the rag because you’re constantly dipping the sponge mop starting with a fresh clean sponge!
That is NOT enough moisture. That dawn stuff is dish SOAP.
I'm a housekeeper also and using the dawn spray It's just too much heavy soap Because it is concentrated. you can use just as simple multi-purpose as long as it doesn't contain bleach because it can mess up the paint on the wall. And dawn spray Can be quite pricey if you need to clean the whole baseboard in the house.

Hammer time 🤣 That’s all I hear when she first says stop lol
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Thiss!! 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀

More than I DON’T want to bend over to clean, I just can’t 🥺I am 48 and had both my knees replaced and have a bad back. Thank you for this brilliant idea 💡😊 Now I will be able possibly stop using a cleaning service and save some money!
Thank you! After 6 back surgeries that’s can be Hard😔 but now I can get them clean without bending 🥰 a prayer answered 💪🏽💯🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Ty for this. I’m disabled and can’t bend down, this will be great!
Thank you for this!! I have baseboards that need cleaning but have neck & back issues that can make bending down very painful at times.
❤️❤️❤️ Yes Ma’am!!! Definitely using this!!! Whatever saves my back I’m all for it!!💯. Thank you for the tip!😊
This was awesome. I need to do mine and i’m gonna try this. You’re brilliant. Thank you for sharing your cleaning hacks!
35 weeks pregnant, I appreciate this post
Yes, very useful. I am 64 years old and cannot get on knees or hands so thank you for that tip.
Thank you sooo much I get very lazy and I hurt my back lying down!! ❤
Currently pregnant and CANT bend down! Super helpful thank you!
I’m so glad I could help ☺️☺️
From a person with a bad back THANK YOU ♥️
I would love to have a magic eraser extender. Your idea is brilliant! Thank you.
I’m sure you could rig that up with some rubber bands and attach to any broom stick, pole, etc
Does a magic eraser extender exist?!?!
Go to Target and just buy the Magic Eraser mop! It also has a little scrub brush part attached to it. It’s great for everything.
Wow! Thank you, for sharing this no bending baseboard cleaning tip 🤗👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I like the brush . She doesn’t say out of a thousand stores where the brush was purchased and that’s what’s doing all the work
Home depot i seen it
Perfect timing! I need to do this and got excited when I saw it. Thanks!!!
Thank you for this tip! I can't wait to clean my baseboards now!
I was just breaking my back cleaning my bathroom baseboards. Thank you for the tip. I'm 68 and anamputee. Thank you thank you.
Love your resourcefulness! I have a damaged back and appreciate this no bend solution!
Great tip, my dogs keep me on my knees cleaning baseboards. Tips on tall windows on the inside? My ladder is only 6ft
Wow, this was the best cleaning tip ever! Thank you.
It doesn’t really get rid of the residue without rinsing. Think about it, when you wash dishes with dawn you don’t just scrub and wipe clean 😂 respectfully 💕
My thought exactly. A bunch of sticky Dawn running down your baseboards makes a perfect surface for all the dust and dirt to stick to.
@@shannonscheffel7366 it’s not sticky and I use it on my couch without rinsing.
@@steelersgirl9930 it's sticky. Anytime there's a film that is not rinsed away, from any cleanser, it is something for dirt to stick to.
@@shannonscheffel7366 it’s not I have used it on my couch !!
@@steelersgirl9930 how do u use it on your couch?
I’m a housekeeper and I have a couple of suggestions.. first use a DRY OCedar mop head to remove dust and debris BEFORE wet cleaning. Diluting a TINY drop of bleach and an eighth of a cup of Gain or Tide in your mop bucket and switching to a clean mop head will clean up the walls and baseboards beautifully and leave your home smelling fabulous!
Very useful! Swivel Grout brush!👍
Oh my God this was very helpful thank you so much! You're a angel!
Spray directly on the towel to avoid moisture leftover and creating mold
Omg! I have chronic migraines and this always bothers me. Thank you so much for this very useful information!!❤❤
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! Do you have any tips on cleaning efficiently but thorough? I’m a cleaner who works for a company so they have an estimated time for me to get the job done and it seems I’m always running over.
Yes! Always work from left to right that way you are not scattered cause believe me it makes you take longer cleaning things twice. I also have a bag small like shower caddy that has rags and in each pocket has gloves, swiffer, and the liquids I most use:
@@MoreThanCleaning thank you!! Are there any techniques or ways to clean that I can do quicker or easier and not be cleaning at a spot for so long? I love cleaning and do not mind being there longer than expected, but at times, I feel like how I think or expect from myself, is over doing it than my company or even the clients expects or cares about. Or is it just how a good, thorough clean will always be-will it always take time, even if it is efficient?
@@ccdm515 okay, thank you so much! So if I see caked dust on, let’s say something that isn’t in front of me, I don’t have to clean it? Bc if I see it and it’s dusty, I touch. But that then puts me behind and extends my cleans.
Thanks for the great idea👍🏻👍🏻
Have 9 barely healing spinal disks right now. 2 years and still working at it. Taking all the help I can find and thank you.
This is helpful. I've been doing the base boards on my knees. I no longer have.
This was very useful/ helpful! Thank you for making this video!
OMG! I love your content!!! Thank you so much for all the tips!!!
I like this!!! This was very useful. 1. Powerwash Dawn 2. Swivel Grout Brush ( extendable pole not included) 3. Some bending 4. I'm buying now!
This is really helpful! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this great tip! I have a mastiff that get slobber everywhere, (for those that don't have slobber dogs, their drool is like the strongest, slipperiest glue when it gets on windows, walls, and baseboards.) Moreover, i have already tried every other trick in the comments section. I had actually tried a brush on a stick but it wasn't like this.
It took me so long to figure out those spots on my TV!🤣😂Dog slobber! Yes it is like glue!
How do you clean the ac filter rack and what time use thanks
I found best thing to clean a/c vent cover is the Dow Scrubbing Bubbles. Remove vent and place in tub or shower. Spray liberally with cleaner and let it set for thirty minutes. Then shower it off in warm to hot water. The result was amazing!
White vinegar with dawn dish soap
@@rebeccabutler9728 Mine ain't removable😩
yes but my mom's baseboards were carpeted room's I was literally rolling on the floor cleaning those baseboards.
You must dust the baseboards first, Cleaning 101.
