  • Okolie came to the decision that he wanted a change. It's a growing process and he picked Sugarhill to teach him different aspects of the trade.

  • I always found Shane showing loyalty while talking about the Matchroom & Okolie split, but also thought, you better becareful because Okolie isn't the grateful type

  • The move to Sugar Hill is very smart. Okolie has the size and the fundamentals but doesn’t sit on his punches or step on the gas. Sugar Hill is Kronk, looking for knockouts so really could work well

    • Just because fury has pulled it off don’t mean anybody else man. The kronk style makes you get hit a lot more. At cruserweight 14-15 stone men hitting you could leave you on the canvas

  • The sugar hill move is smart but I fear that Lawrence’s career may not go the way I hoped. I thought the 258 relationship went well and they got him where he needed to be and he did grab it with both hands but he’s got so many changes all at once I hope he doesn’t get caught cold. I thought he improved under mcguigan so hopefully the sugar hill move will add more to his armoury.

  • Disagree. Okolie goes over his feet and SM tried to lengthen his range imo. Similar to Blackman and Louis (Yes u may laugh) but he keeps it simple.

  • Okolie only got to were he was because of AJ and Eddie showing AJ respect by over paying the big bore fest fighter and also moving him through a very easy route to a WBC world title so to speak The way he has done Eddie dirty like that has left a bad taste in a lot of fans mouths Shane is being respectful here but I’d love to know what he really thinks. Somehow I don’t think okolie will prosper any better than he has after the snake game he has played as people have contacts and can spoil your career in boxing and i reckon that’s what will Happen

  • Okolie seems to be listening to the wrong people on career management. He was annoyed at Hearn over money but in reality, his boxing style is horrible to watch and that's his own fault because it won't bring him paydays. He's now throwing Shane under the bus also. Disgusting behaviour.

    • @z388z more money? He's not bringing in big money to the platform he competes on so they're not exactly going to give him free money. The only way he's getting more money is to take his chances and move to heavyweight. There's a couple of fights that he could have there but the reality is that cruiserweight has never been a division where big money fights happen.
