    • There are humanitarian evils that have been committed by both the USA &. Chinese governments. The difference being that USA is more democratic. China claims their stance is for the people. But if the Chinese people don’t have a say, then it’s not the people’s version of governance but rather an authoritarian version in the guise of virtue. America isn’t a shining example either, but at least there is free speech without jail time or maybe even death, by being labeled as an enemy of the state.

    • @user-gd8cu2xr2n Germany has very little control over their own foreign policy which is essentially dictated by the Americans. If you look into the Nordstream 2 story you will understand this. The german people also have a serious case of conquered peoples syndrome. Until Germany has serious political protests nothing will ever change. The politicians will do washingtons bidding and enjoy their endorsements and kickbacks.

  • There are no reasons for China to live like America where the people are dying from its democracy. There is no need for China to have homeless people living on the streets in Beijing, Shanghai, Canton, Shenzhen and other major cities. In the American way of life, living without a job, robbing, looting, stealing, rapes, drugs and other criminal activities are freely allowed in American's democracy. China has focussed its economy to provide a better life to its people and did not promote conflicts, disorders, mutiny and wars like America. More and more countries have joined BRIC and pomoting inter-state trade without resorting to wars and suppresssion. On the other hand, no countries felt safe with the presence of America in their countries. China has on its own build up its country and lifeted its people from poverty which is contrary to the American governance. For thousand of years, China is a trading country and has only needs its own armed forces to defend its country and people from plundering, looting, submission and freedom from colonisation by white people from Europe and America. If America can be like China - instead of promoting war, promote trade and peace, then the whole world will be peaceful and progressing from each other economy.

On one side you have the US unable to look to the future because they still were baffled by China somehow beating them at their own game, nearly 20 years after they were allowed to join the WTO. On the other you have China looking to a co-operative role in the future of the world. The fact that Cheney had to rely on notes and someone else's thoughts and the diplomat could speak eloquently (and sharply on point) without, spoke volumes.
