So glad I found this. The game doesn't have any way of listening to the marbles without replaying the game and smashing them again. So it is super easy to miss what they say or have the game just skip the audio to play some other character's dialog. This is a great way to both listen to the marbles and get the story of the character all in one go.
It’s such a great story but it’s baffling that there isn’t a any wrap-up after getting all the marbles. Like they already had her record all this dialogue for the quest why couldn’t we get one to wrap things up? Maybe they’re gonna try to have another storyline with her in dlc, but still
hope it comes in the dlc
I think that she's definitely more important than we think. Hear me out, I think that by recovering her marbles, we reawaken her demon and Eldon. Gearbox never does things like this just for shits and giggles, it's just like the Typhon diaries in BL3, they are hinting at a big piece of the story. I think that she'll end up as the villain in a piece of DLC, where we will meet Eldon who has finally found a way to free her from the demon once and for all, and then the two bond again, but through matrimony.
Look i get it you are trying to look at it in a positive way, but you are giving gearbox writing too much credit, they do not write good characters and they have no problem leaving an unfinished story, just like they have no problem giving players a garbage cashgrab dlc like in this game
She mentions Skags which is seemingly the only reference to Pandora from the in BNB world. Somethings up
I know Wonderlands was made during the lockdown and with limited resources but I can't help being a little disapointed with the side characters. You have all of these characters with a huge personality and then you get to see them and they're just a generic NPC model with some bits stuck to them. The poet, the blacksmith, the amnesiac. They're all just kind of meh to me. Still a great game that I love to play though.
I hope they fill out these characters more in subsequent DLCs and future Wonderlands games.
I’m also disappointed in the lack of tvhm/uvhm as well as the length of the story
@@joahpineapple3239 same! I was confused that there was no new game plus or 2nd playthrough. Even borderlands 1 at least had 2 playthroughs
Look at wonderland like borderlands Q 1
Don’t tell me this is a massive setup for a “Elden Ring” dlc…..
Wait, you might be onto something considering dude’s name is “Eldon” and to steal the daemon powers he used a “ring” made from leviathan scales
@@chestbumphero Wait no it I wasn’t serious but holy fuck your right
Thanks for putting all the voice recordings together in order. It all makes sense now!
Hey, Gearbox. For DLC, I want an expanded Amnesiac story and Kesara's backstory.
Thanks man I have been asking people if just a video on this character existed and then you go ahead and make one. I thank you for your hardwork.
I've been waiting for you to do this video! Thanks this is a great video.
I love this stuff man! Keep up the great work.
i think that the desire daemon that Eldon falled into has influenced him to desire for power, since then he started searching (and also explains her tingly sensation around him). The bonding exchanges (or awakens something in her), the desire daemon for her powers.
I have been really enjoying my playthrough of wonderlands but it has an issue that the whole series tends to have. I love all the borderlands games and while some people play for the guns, I play for the characters and the setting. Gearbox has made such a fun world that I love to get lost in and I wish the games would use this a little more. I'm not expecting, or asking, borderlands to become a narrative game but I wish we could get more time with side characters. I love all the vault hunters but you play bl3 and the majority have very little to do which is a shame as their easily the best characters in the story. I'm just hoping in future dlc's we can flesh out the amnesiac, Izzy, and a good handful of other characters.
I totally agree with you. It has been a big complaint from the community ever since Borderlands 2. Characters like Tannis, Scooter, and Claptrap just allow for such a dense, hilarious, world. Borderlands 3 and Wonderlands seem to just use a "one and done" system with their side characters these days. I would love to see a character that we help then return to Brighthoof in order to offer more quests like Zygaxis.
The writers dont know what to do with the story since Anthony Berch left after The Pre Sequal and assisting with Tales from the Borderlands so the story was half finished and lost his direction.
Unfortunately we are not getting traditional Borderlands DLC. It's all just chaos chamber stuff
@@gruffalo57 only first 4 dlc are chaos chamber I think season pass 2 might contain actual story content
Tina What the Heck!! What was with that Story. That was surprisingly interesting. Is this building up to something? Tina: Ehh Maybe in a DLC?
I hope so
Honestly, it's just as plausible that... ...Eldon just cared about her. I mean, we only know what happened through her own tale, warped by a desire demon. But from his begging, pleading, and unwillingness to defend himself (and with all his power, I'm sure he had more than the ability to do so), I think this was Eldon being someone who lacked the confidence to say, to her face, what he really wanted. Her. Think about it. He felt weak and had low self confidence in his own power. But he obviously wanted her company. The bonding ritual was a pleasant one, and he did it only after asking her if she wanted to be normal, you know, the thing she ALWAYS said she wanted? Now she's a full blown human, and lacks the power to defend herself the way she used to. So what was his solution? Not to bring her. Because he was right: she'd get killed out there now that she's normal. And he obviously regrets that the way he handled things led to this outcome. He never blamed her. Never harmed her. Never thought about using her as a scapegoat. He just kept apologizing, blaming himself. Hell, he even bound himself to the demon inside her and DIED FOR HER. This story, to me, screams the importance of honesty. She should have just said she wanted him, and he wanted her. Instead, they chose be as indirect as possible. Instead of telling him about the demon, she let it fester. Instead of telling her he's concerned of her safety, he left her behind. This was just all kinds of sad.
I’m hoping we get more story finality in the dlcs for her tbh. It be nice to set her story up to be used as a dlc plot device.
Awesome vid! Will you be doing an audio only of the marbles being played in order? (Similar to what you did for the lore scrolls?) I think after this good, it's be awesome to relisten to the marble audio as a big story instead of pieces
I wish they would stop audio logs when characters talked then pick back up. I missed out on 3 or 4 marbles because I would grab them then Tina would start talking, and I couldn’t find an area in the menus to play them
I was looking for this a while ago but no one had put the story together!
Bet she’ll be in a future dlc in some capacity
I kinda enjoyed listening to this story while going around collecting the marbles. Kinda sad that there's not much of a payoff at the end but it'd be a cool setup fore a later DLC.
M8 i would love to see the series from you about past borderlands dlcs like get threw their story from start to end that wpuld be cool
I didnt even know she was in the tavern!
The nature about Desire Demons, their strength comes from the most common thing they offer. Temptation. And yes, humans CAN be influenced by Desire Demons, no differently than they say how "the devil made me do it". It's those thoughts of wanting, telling you to just take it. Kind of like the evil side of your conscience to just do things regardless of consequence. If you weren't paying close enough attention, the bonding ritual that Eldon used made him connected to both Amnesiac and the daemon inside her. Thus, being magically bonded, that's why her daemon was so focused on him. And after Eldon's sacrifice at the end, the price was amnesia. But you know, I'm also having the sense that it was missing a wrap-up dialogue. Find all Marbles, and she has a last thing to say. But nope. Not unlike Nyriad's bombshell drop, though.
Apparently it's not the same voice actress, but when I first heard the Amnesiac, I assumed it was Angel, the Siren (Handsome Jack's daughter) from the first few games.
Angel is a giant spider in the wonderlands, you kill her in Borderlands 2.
@@FaytVanguard Roland is dead, but that doesn"t prevent the voice actor fron re-appearing as "The Notetaker". My original comment was more meant in reference to the voice talent, and not the in game characters. I figured Gearbox did a solid and rehired a lot of the previous talent.
Lol, I didn't know it was a character in the tavern? I just went to collect them... maybe expecting a 'Tyson Deleon' at the end.
Thanks for summarizing that. I'd found them all but not necessarily in order. I doubt we get a payoff but it was a good little story. I do tend to think he did regret his mistake and to correct it I do think he erased himself from memory, if not existence. Otherwise she'd just desire to resurrect him right? Not that it'd forgive his earlier transgressions, I assumed he realized the mistake and did what was right that time. Who knows though, fun little story.
It'd be nice if they added a secret boss that would you have to face off against that was the Amnesiac's desire daemon fused with Eldon and maybe allow this tale to have a happy ending.
I figured shes just the demon fortune teller that shows up in the future DLC to do with the Mirrors
I was a little let down that there wasn't some mini-boss fight after you got her memories sorted out; like Eldon came back, or maybe something crazier like her demon half came back, tired of being stuck with a loser like Eldon. It's also quite bittersweet compared to, well almost everything else with Wonderlands; besides the joke about marbles, it's not all subverting the genre like so much of the other stuff in the game.
What's the name of that song from the end of this video?
Really shocked there isn't a final reveal. Maybe dlc
What if Vesper, the demon from the upcoming dlc, is her demon half?
Could you recap the story of the main quest of the game
i was thinking it was more than a sad love story . and that eldon dont be with here and wanted her power only for him self. in the end Eldon love here and wanted to protect here wen he lost her power. so he would be killed easy, And in the end he sacrafice himself for her to be free. because he love her to... Hope to see some more in a dlc
Yo anyone find the 49 white runes across wonderlands? My theory is, once you collect all 49 across the entire game maybe a teleporter opens up in the secret dev room?
i have found 1 in 60 hours
@@1981troyboy ive gotten 3 in 150 hours lmao
I watched this a few days ago now I'm doing the quest Inner Daemons and the high priestess or whatever said she had a son named Aiden
I think that Aiden was the leader of the rival band from the Battle of the Bands quest that stole a page from his mom's spellbook and got his whole band blown up.
Pretty please do a history on the Dragon Lord!
Tina orginaly chater when roland was a bunker master she acidently made him blow up a whole building killed people roland told tina that she now her charter is hated tina get annoyed at roland for saying he cant be bad . Basicly jack 2.0
@@ccmemes5898 I know that, but there are scrolls at the fearamid of him wondering the wonderlands
@@Myu142 i havent seen them and i 100 percented the game
@@ccmemes5898 Your missing out, there are 3 scrolls at the fearamid all told by the Dragon Lord. They are called Left Behind, Crisitunity, and My Own Story in the scrolls list
Can you do the history of the dragon lord
Any idea when you'll remaster the Tediore company?
yes
I thought eldon would end up being the dragonlord
you got it wrong, he took her desire from her in the memories, thats why she has amnesia
good luck with that weapon now :-(
Did this channel name change recently, I recognize the voice but not the channel name
I think we've all already met eldon, just that he doesn't go by that name anymore. >.>
I've a feeling eldon is gonna be a future raid boss
That would be really cool but Gearbox isn't that smart
@@b_firmz9379 Wow Wait to be underestimating Gearbox.
@@KavinCatastrophe dude I hope I'm wrong, I hope they read this and do it just to spite me
Craked theory idk if another post here has said it and I know thia is an old video but what if eldon is the dragon lord?
I think it would be a mess, dragon lord was just tina's character, even as a villain she kept writing his actions so i don't think he needs that whole amnesiac background
@@ermanbumaguin8063 fair point
Just a fun mini theory from me revisiting the game and learning some lore
@@thatgreenguy9657 yeah i got you man, i bought the game like 4 months ago but really started like a month ago, it has a pretty rich lore
I don't buy into her paranoia, that eldin was just using her to become a more powerful mage and hero. I think they where genuin friends, she had a crush on him, and he, being probably a teenage nerd, didn't get it. He thought the ritual, which gave both what they caimed to want, would make them happy, but because her desire changed without him noticing, the whole thing backfired when she was possesd by the desire demon, that implanted the thought of treason in her head. but, at least for me, treason has to be an active desision for, which is something he could never have done, because he was clueless about her feelings towards him.
I wanna know where she got raw skag... I've been wondering why skags aren't an encounter in the grass
She probably meant a skeep
Aw. That sucks.
Who is the amnesiac? Wait who is she i forgot
Maybe DLC???
Cozy
why does she sound like the girl in that one tiktok about the person who put her poodle in a microwave oven
Good i forgot who She is
Shouldnt have her regain her true form and powers as you progress her story. With her becoming a boss fight at the end.
Technically speaking isn’t everything in the game a figment of mostly if not all tinas imagination?
Based on this it easy to think that the amnesiac was a siren. And tbh if you look at it like that the story kind of mirrors the jack and angel lore. However, it’s more likely that the amnesiac is based off of a siren that (as far as we know) only Tina is privy of knowing.
Eldon Ring DLC
You did a good job of stringing these together, but doesn't it sound weird that Eldon traveled with her before he became aware of her abilities? Not to be a dick but I think you skipped over that part
Elden? So like she is gonna get Elden ring.
Now here's the thing. Who is she? Because everything is narrated by tiny tina. Or is it? Is she a product of Tina's imagination? A person in the real world? A true demon? The memory of the demon? Is she one of the spirits of Tina's book? This is Bonkers
: D
Cringiest thing I've experienced in any game. Borderlands has lost it's wit. Stop glorifying fools just because they make products. I guess Wonderlands died for a reason. That tingly feeling...
