Established over centuries by the Grimaldi dynasty, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco is a place of legend. The residence’s mythical status was cemented by the illustrious union of a Prince and a Hollywood star when Rainier III married Grace Kelly. Whilst the image of the iconic couple continues to linger here, the dynasty’s future has been secured by their son, Prince Albert II.
Despite refusing numerous requests over the years, Prince Albert II has exceptionally agreed to let our cameras follow him. We accompany him for several months in his official duties and daily life. We also profile the work of the backstage team, who manage the Prince’s various projects.
This exclusive documentary provides a captivating portrait of one of the last monarchs at the head of a constitutional monarchy. It takes us to the heart of the Grimaldi family of Monaco.
0:00 🇲🇨 Monaco's National Day celebration and the presence of the royal family.
15:53 👑 A young South African becomes the princess of Monaco and takes on various roles and responsibilities.
28:51 🌍 The prince, a polyglot experienced in various customs, receives a gift from the Thai princess and prepares for a speech on sustainable development at a conference in Rio.
44:15 🎉 The gala event in Monaco was a success, with the royal couple dancing to rock music and a spectacular fireworks display.

    • Like his father he works terribly hard to take care of their principality. You have to understand Aristotle Onasis, came up with the idea (plan) to marry Hollywood,to attract the wealthy, kind of to fund their little corner of the earth, which is why Grace Kelly, was the bride of Ranier (Marylin Monroe was considered) I understand those who live their are not allowed to make use of the Casinos, where as to keep the wealthy and their monies in Monaco, and many elite celebrities vacation and dock their yachts, in this playground for the wealthy! Ranier and her serine highness worked hard to save this principality. He threatened to isolate the principality and cut off its supply of French francs, the principality's currency until the advent of the euro. In 1963, Rainier agreed to a treaty that decreed that the French citizens who live in Mo (currently there are some 12,000) have to pay income tax to Paris. A subtle approach to keep the Gramaldi family as rulers. With the tricky advice from Onasis. Rather than Grace Kelly,I wonder if Jackie Onasis would have been a good suter. However, because of threats of the families, wealth then would not have been impressive for Mrs. Kennedy…! (???) (

They were at the Rugby World Cup final in France just over a month ago together supporting her native South Africa's Springboks... our national rugby team...our pride and joy! She was happy. On her feet with arms raised and fists pumping the air repeatedly when our Flyhalf Handre Pollard took that long range penalty. She looked ecstatic. As were we all. We live and breathe rugby. Naturally we won the RWC2023 - went back to back! (Prince Albert was on our side before in the 2019 World Cup in Yokohama Japan. We won!). After the final both of them went into our teams changing room and lo and behold, she was as normal as me! She sang our "Rassie in your head" tribute to our beloved Rassie Erasmus with the team celebrating our victory. Albert was there too. And of course there was our mischievous Faf de Klerk in his famous SA flag onderbroek! It was fantastic to see her being her old happy self. Oh and yes, I believe she's started rugby training centres for kids in Monaco! Absolutely fantastic. It's our legacy from Nelson Mandela, you see. Rugby is our religion and she's taken it to Monaco. Our girl's fine.

  • I saw this today (in 2023) and loved every moment of it. The only wish would have been to have had the French speaking interpreted in English in the captions. I love the French language, however, have lost most of it since growing up around those who did not ever know the language so would have loved the interpretations. Otherwise, it was a perfect video into the lives of the Royal Family of Monaco and the wonderful events they do and support for charities world wide. Merci and thank you. 😊

As a lifelong swimmer, hurrah for marrying one. She is bound to be hardworking and disciplined. I am pleased to see the hard work and commitment he puts into his country and family.

I hope you get my point. NATIONS are proud to have a unique identity and role in this world. In fact, Multinational corporations and cartels can not be counted as NATIONS.

Si entiendes inglés, mira en el Daily Mail y otros periódicos de habla inglesa las últimas revelaciones de su contable. “As the 'secret payments' Prince Albert of Monaco 'pays to his former mistresses and the children he's had out of wedlock' are unveiled by his sacked accountant”

  • as someone who grew up on the Main Line in Philadelphia, it's heartwarming to hear his English just like home. We were all so proud of Grace Kelly, as an Irish Catholic she gave us inspiration. My boyfriends mother walked around like she was Princess Grace and had the Irish beauty to pull it off ..almost. .. One thing though the Red Cross ball, it had white crosses in red, it's a Red Cross the purple or blue color doesn't work well...
