This game really needs some better trailers, it's literally some of the greatest and most influential games of all time in a single package and the narrator here is talking about it like it's a 90s detergent
Nintendo can put in zero effort porting these games and it will still sell case in point 64 in 4:3
I mean honestly if you don't know about these 3D Mario games you've probably been living on a desert island somewhere in the middle of nowhere or a boomer who couldn't care less about videogames.
What it really needs is to be a better collection in general. People have had a Mario 64 and Sunshine running in widescreen, HD 60fps. And yet, we have official remasters here, and they barely qualify as such.

I remember as a kid not owning a memory card for the gamecube delibaratly not turning off the gamecube and unplugging the lead for the TV so come back the next day and progress further. I never got to finish it as my parents would always notice after a day or so and turn it off /unplug it

Really looking forward to playing this. Mario 64 was a little before my time, (I still experienced it as a retro game) but Sunshine and Galaxy were literally my childhood. Actually pretty sure Sunshine was the first video game I ever had, and Galaxy was the first one I ever beat with 100% completion.

I'm glad to pay $60 for these three games on one system, and that system being the current gen system.
It’s a 35th anniversary collection. Not a remaster. Ur basically paying $20 per game which are all optimised, portable and has extra music. That’s pretty good for pricing since these games are usually sold higher than that in most cases

They're not going to go to the effort of making these ports just to sell them for a few months. This is just the "limited edition 35th anniversary" edition of the games. Not to mention there are plenty of people who would like to have just one game that they'd lose as a customer if they didnt release them separately. This is just marketing.
I'm playing it right now. Seeing these games upscaled on a Switch is so nice. I love the intro and menu, and we get the full soundtrack of the three games as well. This is amazing to me. I was kind of worried for Sunshine and Galaxy but they are completely fine, especially Sunshine.

I just dont like that 64 wasnt updated in the graphics department. Its the one game in this collection that hasnt aged well. Its a great game and im looking forward to the collection, but ive just always wanted an official HD mario 64 remaster but i guess thats never happening.

Man I’m most hyped to play sunshine again but Mario 64 & galaxy are the cherry on top.
The only one I played was 64, but I played galaxy 2 and loved it. I am so freaking excited for this, and am buying physical copy day of release.
knowing Nintendo (ie lazy rush jobs for stuff like this) they won't have added the option to change the camera controls. Coming from experience... I loved sunshine as a kid but then I transitioned to first-person shooter camera systems without inversion. Sunshine on Gamecube has inverted camera controls and fludd aiming controls that cannot be changed in-game. If Nintendo hasn't added in the option to change these, the vast majority of people won't be able to play sunshine as they have spent the last 20ish years training their brain to use non-inverted controls (as every other game in the last 20 years has them as standard).

This is the Galaxy 1 version of this song. It was first used in Toy Time Galaxy seen in 1:39. Galaxy 2 then re-remixed it in Supermassive galaxy with a different type of rhythm and beat.
Gosh, it's almost like certain music that was in _Galaxy 2_ was also in _Galaxy 1._

Ndog C no it won’t disappear off your switch they mentioned If you ever delete it you can always redownload it
@@ndogc6080 no, if you have it, you have it forever, but after it's gone on March 31st, you can't buy it (you can still play it). What doesn't make sense is that the digital version is only available for a limited time as well.

I’m trying out all these games for the first time. I’ve experienced the first 15 minutes of Sunshine (emulator, didnt work out) and played half of SMG2 (was going to finish it, but since this was announced I’ll beat Galaxy first)

@@calebb7012 assuming the game is properly designed for it. there're likely instances where certain objects and such are supposed to be hidden by the screen but would be revealed if you expose more of the viewspace. Or basically, yes you can literally make it widescreen easily, but would it affect the integrity of the original art design?
@@sinteleon I don't believe it would, no. It's not like you're revealing much more. All it would take is a simple rework of the camera in any situation where that would happen, which is probably only during maybe certain cutscenes.
