    • Shibe Inu Tbf though as much as I think you need to get a manual wherever you can especially these days when pretty much everything’s automatic only, you really can’t go wrong with the PDK. Everyone agrees it’s the best dual clutch out there

    • Tony Redemann These days, automatics and especially dual clutches will always be quicker at accelerating than manuals, but the main reason you opt for a manual is full engagement with the car, not speed

    • Doug's first job out of college was allocating special Porsche models to dealerships around the country. If i had that job and was able to actually sit in a 918 Spyder or GT2/GT3 and see these mechanical engineering marvels up close, i guess i would be a Porsche enthusiast myself.

  • Another very good fun Review. I bought a GT4 2 weeks ago and I love it. I love this GT4 more than my previous GT3RS. But I feel I have more fun in my 1997 911 (993) air cooled engine sound and the rear engine. A bit more raw. 🦅🦅🇺🇸

  • 9:34 porsche addressed this a while ago, the electric windows actually weigh less than crank windows. Power side mirrors however are more weight

    • I would go with manual mirrors. Unless you share your car with someone else you set your mirrors once and done.

  • Doug, I have one and it is the best car I have ever owned. My wife had never rode with me until recently and it put a permanent smile on her as she was pleasantly surprised with how it drove and handled. You are correct my ex-boss had a 911 which I sat on and it is no where close to this car. I am enjoying everything about this car even the quirkiness. Thank for your review it is every bit accurate if not precise.

    • I know we'll never get a rational explanation for the scoring system, but when he says practicality has to be a 2 because it's 2 seats... makes no sense. I feel that this is far above other sports cars from a practicality perspective, thanks to having both a trunk and a frunk. It's pretty amazing just how much stuff you can pack into a Cayman.

  • BTW while you were driving it down the highway I noticed it has the most beautiful exhaust notes. You can actually hear that they somehow tuned the exhaust so that it's generating a fundamental frequency and maybe a third or 5th above it. Amazing.

  • Doug, I'm 100% on board with you. I sold Porsche in Montreal for 2 years and my almost favorite car was the Cayman S but it was gutless back in 2006-2007 BUT TODAY it's my all time favourite sports car. The 2020 911 is nice but it isn't as sporty as it once was, it would be a daily driver vs GT4 as the weekend track hungry machine. Thanks Doug, your videos are the Best in the Business

  • I drove a 2014 981 Cayman S on the track at the Porsche World Road Show along with a 992 and a 992 4S . That track day convinced me that the 981 S was for me. Never looked back. My PCA friends thought I was nuts to buy the 981 S. It is not always about 0-60 but the dance on the twisties.
