Look at Melanie here: A woman like her (look at who she's associating with) no doubt is used to men knocking her around. But she's also probably used to them "being sorry" afterwards, and sees making them lose control as merely another victory for her, well worth the temporary pain of a black eye. I've met plenty of women like that.

  • It wasn’t just a Tarantino thing - the exact same scene happens in the book the movie was based on: “Rum Punch” by Elmore Leonard. It’s a good read. QT stayed pretty faithful to the book, except the book was set in Miami. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. De Niro’s performance is so fantastic; it’s one of his best performances.

    • There were cameras but pretty basic, usually the size of a small suitcase, bright white and bolted to the corner of a building, not like the tiny, discrete 360 degree spyballs these days.

  • You seriously have to give credit to the camera crew. They did a back up walking shot without showing the camera reflection in any of the car windows. Also it is ,ore believable when they shoot the backseat shot and so not take out the rear view mirror.

    @boomer2095@boomer20952 жыл бұрын
    • Backseat shot shouldn't be too hard, just adjust the mirrior. They probably had the choice of where to place the cars in the lot, if you noticed one of the windows where rolled down where the reflection was unavoidable.
