Hey everyone! Today we're (finally) doing a full-review of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2! For those of you who've been watching the channel for a while many of you will know I was a big fan of the Pulsefire Haste 1, even with the several flaws that it had. That's why I'm very excited to finally have the updated version here for us to talk about! On paper there have been a lot of improvements over the first Pulsefire Haste, but the bigger question is whether HyperX has managed to avoid all the pitfalls that plagued the Haste 1. I hope you all enjoy the review and as always if you have any questions leave a comment down below!

thanks bro i need this kind of review
what a great review! I was eyeballing the haste 2 wired, and this review made me confident in getting it! thanks man! =)
Very nice informative and detailed review ordered the mouse after watching the review itself ❤
Glad you found the review helpful! I hope you enjoy the mouse as much as I do, I keep coming back to it in-between reviews!

What game is this
can hyper-x do hold button mode shift like easyshift, hypershift, g-shift ?
I bought the haste 1 and used it for a bit and loved it so you know I had to cop the second one
Just bought the black wired one for less than 40 bucks (converted from the pricings of the store I bought it) - absolutely love it with the whole package ^^
I live in India and here it's 33 dollars i also bought it seems good well will see after use
@@GGxNEEL Did you buy it?
@@luck5234 I bought it and yeah it's a worthy purchase and I have no complains at all

I'm still rocking the original haste wired and have been considering either the DA v3 or the Haste 2 wired for the 8k. I find that on my original haste I get stuck in between scroll steps in game, and it'll swap weapons and mess me up, is the the new scroll encoder tighter/more defined. Which would you recommend for a relaxed palm/fingertip grip, which has the better scroll wheel?
Hey! Unfortunately I don’t have a haste 1 I can use to compare the scroll wheels between the OG haste & the haste 2. That said though I’d pick the haste 2 over the DAV3 due to your grip style & because the polling implementation on the Haste 2 felt MUCH better than that on the DAV3. I also prefer the scroll wheel on the Haste 2 over the DAV3 but I don’t know how it stacks up against the Haste 1 sadly. Hope this helps! Edit: I just check the scroll wheeles on the Haste 2 and the DAV3, funny enough the Haste 2 has a "harder" more controllable scroll than the DAV3 does.
Hey man how does it compare to Deathadder V3?
I am very excited about trying this mouse out! I was mostly worried about the scroll wheel, with my current scroll wheel going up too fast results in a down input, and vice versa, and I hate that. Have you or anybody experienced anything like this on the haste 2?
The scroll wheel on the haste 2 is a lighter wheel but it has pretty pronounced scroll points so it's very difficult to accidentally cause the wheel to scroll!
@@mel0nFPS The game I am talking about is Apex Legends and if you know what I am talking about, which is tap strafing, then thats great. But it doesnt really seem that you do. What I mean is when I am moving the scroll wheel in one direction, it tends to spin once or twice in the opposite direction, so are you saying that it does not do this? Thank you for your response, and if youre curious my current mouse is the razer viper 8k, and lots of other people have sais theyve had issues like mine.
@@WhatsaNamehelp Hey, based on what you're saying it's sounds like the scroll wheel is too loose for accurate scrolling. I don't have a VIPER 8k to directly compare too but I didn't have any issues with the scroll wheel feeling too loose but again I'm not using it for APEX like you are. Hope that helps clarify!
sensor is pixart paw 3395 scroll wheel encoder is ttc silver/white mb1&mb2 are modified ttc gold dustproof
Ah so they are TTC golds! I had a feeling but I couldn't find any confirmation, thanks for the info!
I'm thinking about purchasing it, but many people write about a higher latency after clicking the mouse. Is it noticeable or noticeable at all?
Hi! So a lot of the "mainstream" reviews only reviewed the wireless version of the Haste 2, which much like its predecessor the Haste 1 Wireless has some click-latency issues. The wired version of the Haste 2 doesn't have any issues with click latency and it also has 2k - 8k polling (the wireless doesn't it only has 1k polling) AND it's cheaper! In terms of personal use I love the clicks on the Haste 2, they feel snappy and really responsive and I haven't had any issues with latency or any other issues with the Haste 2. Hope that helps!
My new favourite. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do
Sleeper mouse for sure! Goad you like it!
This mouse is very underrated.
So I bought the wired one, and I've noticed a weird issue. If the HyperX ingenuity utility is not running in the background the mouse will stutter after switching the DPI button. If the software is running the issue does not happen. This is disappointing because the mouse having onboard memory is a huge selling point for me. I hate having to keep a utility running just to use a mouse. Can anyone else verify this issue on their Haste 2 wired? Wondering if I have a defective issue. HyperX support was no help. They did not answer if the issue was just my copy, which makes me think it's a firmware issue that will be present in all mice-not just mine.
Hey! A few of the first batch of the haste 2 have faulty memory-controllers on them which cause a variety of issue like you described (especially at high polling rate). I had a similar issue on my first unit and I exchanged mine and my 2nd unit works perfectly! I exchanged my unit via amazon since it was within the return period but if yours happens to be outside of the return window the haste 2 does come with a 2yr warranty via HyperX you can always reach out to them too! Hope that helps!
@@mel0nFPS I wondered if something like this was the case. Thanks for the info dog!
No problem!
My copy of the Haste 2 was awful and I immediately returned it. Right click felt terrible and it had an uneven base. QC definitely needs to improve…
When did you buy your unit if you don't mind me asking? I bought the first batch & it had a faulty sensor
I heard that the Haste 2 has bad click latency, is that correct? Or I don't know if they refer to the wireless version. And the scrolling over time works correctly? I also heard that the scroll was failing
Those issues were on the haste 1 wireless, they're fixed on the haste 2 but the wired version is better than the wired version due to its price and higher polling rate.
@@mel0nFPS thx bro
Does the Ngenuity software detect/read the Haste 2 wireless in Bluetooth mode? In my case, its only detecting the mouse in 2.4 GHz mode. Is that a genuine issue?
Hi! I found this article on HyperX's website for connecting the mouse via bluetooth: support.hyperx.com/Mice/Pulsefire-Haste-2-Wireless/2745416951/Pulsefire-Haste-2-Wireless-Installation.htm Keep in mind thought that when mice are in bluetooth mode the device is often locked to 125hz and a preset DPI. Other featured are often locked for power saving reasons (profiles, keybinds etc). So the Ngenuity software likely isn't showing the Haste 2 since there aren't any settings to change while the mouse in bluetooth mode. Hope that helps!
@@mel0nFPS Oh my, Thank you so much for taking the time to answer!! This helps a lot! 🍻
Hi love your content currently bought my first pc parts consisting of 7800x3d 7900 xtx and 360hz 1080p monitor Mouse is Deathadder v3 wired Keyboard is Corsair k60 pro tk opx Can you do a review of this keyboard I bought my parts now just waiting to build it since it’s my first pc 😊
Hey! That build looks awesome, I hope it works well for ya! I don't typically do keyboard reviews as I'm not very knowledgeable in that area but maybe sometime in the future I'll cover some!
What is mean on board memory?
@mel0nFPS How does it compare to the Razer viper 8khz???
Don't have a viper 8k to compare it too sadly 😭
No optical switches is a deal breaker for me
Iam planning to buy a new mouse after my razer viper mini's sensor stopped working, so which is better Viper 8khz or Viper Cobra or the Hyperx Pulsefire Haste 2??
If you like the shape of the viper go for the viper 8k, if you want a more normal symm shape go for the Haste 2 wired. Don’t get the cobra though, horrible mouse with really bad LOD issues
@@mel0nFPS is weight fine coz iam switching from viper mini
@@mel0nFPS also will it have sensor issues after sometime?
bro we are same, i have sensor issue too 😂. did u buy the haste 2?
@@LreyXia23 i bought the viper 8khz and it still has the issue
i cant choose 8k polling rate how do i enable 8k? it only has 1k option.
You may have to update the firmware for the mouse, check the hyperx ngenuity software and update the mouse!
3395 motion sync is on till 4000
Is it better than viper mini because I saw that viper mini have less response time
Technically the viper mini has a faster response time than the wireless haste 2 but I believe it's on par with the wired haste 2. The wireless haste 2 and haste 2 mini are pretty mid, better to get the wired version.
@@mel0nFPS thanks I am getting the wired version
uffff just looked how much the old weight and the honeycomb design is actually heavier, kind a big L for making holes into a mouse to be still heavier.
Just a few years difference makes a huge change in manufacturing methods etc. In a few years we'll be saying the same about the haste 2
I basically play cs and valo will you recommend it? Do you know the sensor yet?
I personally really liked it, esp for OW2 and VAL so give it a shot! Still don't know what the sensor is, I'll be doing a teardown for this mouse soon so I'll go over what the sensor is then!
@@mel0nFPS thanks for the reply But what is esp though?
@@luck5234 esp = especially
Hi i see on reddit the mouse have dpi issue, is it fix ??
Hi! the DPI issues were on the wireless pulsefire haste 1, I believe the issue has been resolved on the haste 2 wireless. Both the Haste 1 and 2 wired don't have any DPI issues from what I've seen/tested myself.
@@mel0nFPS ok thanks, i see issue for haste 2 wireless also
will this be a good upgrade from g402?
From a spec stand-point absolutely, I will say the shell is quite different so that may take getting used to but overall the Haste 2 would be a fantastic update!
@@mel0nFPSthankk youu, i am still considering this for valorant
commenting for the algorithm
🐐
3395 for sure ;) should you use 4k or 8k pooling rate?
Depends on your system specs and monitor refresh-rate. I have a pretty beefy PC and I only use 2k polling since I have a 144hz monitor. If you have a higher refresh-rate monitor you can go higher but 2k or 4k seem to be the sweet spot.
@@mel0nFPS ok, what about non competitive gaming with raytracing etc at 60/80 fps, does the higher pooling rate make you loose fps?
@@pav1u High polling rate is dependent on CPU more than GPU however some raytracing games can put an extra load on the CPU. Depends on the game and your setup etc.
only 60? bro my whole pc setup is like 30 bucks and i made my pc with like a 300 budget
Damn. No one fkin asked.
Haste 2 better then haste 1
in what way?
No it isn't lol. Stop trolling.
@@phr3ui559the haste 2 has better sensor, better switches, better design, better battery life, better polling rate, lighter weight, better cable, better lighting, better quality, better cable, better packaging, better build quality, better tracking, more dust resistant, more water resistant, lighter clicks, no more holes so that you don’t spill your mountain dew and ruin your mouse, also no more trypophobia
who cares about 8k polling - is anyone going to notice?!?!?!?!?
8k polling right now isn’t very useful but in a couple years it’ll be standard so buying a mouse with 8k polling is future-proof in a way!
@@mel0nFPSis this mouse better than the model d glorious mouse?
@@spencermacleod7771 I haven't tried any glorious mice due to their reputation with QC issues but I will say the Haste 2 is in the top 3 mice of 2023 for me
