Hi a Singaporean here that just wanna share some context. Singapore is a country with very good mix people from different races and religions. We do not see race or religion, but we are all Singaporeans 1st as we value racial harmony very highly and we are extremely proud of it. The post that the Israel Embassy in Singapore quoted the holy book of Quran, misinterpreting it and claiming Israel's right over Palestine. This caused alot of anger as Singapore does have a significant Muslim population. I'm a Chinese Buddhist Singaporean but we all too stand with our Muslim population as the post is highly irresponsible and threaten to undermine the racial and religious peace that we enjoyed for decades in Singapore. They should count themselves lucky as they have diplomatic immunity as inciting hate and unrest in Singapore is a SEVERE offence. The westerners way of dividing people will not succeed in Singapore because they have not lived the lives as Singaporeans. Because regardless of our races or religions, we are FIRST AND FOREMOST SINGAPOREANS. Their antics have zero effect other than making us DISGUSTED.

I see here in Canada the students and ordinary people are bringing awareness to what is truly happening because the media here is not being open to what is really happening and most politicians dont want to get their hands dirty. They are just as afraid of the consequences of the people fighting one another. Here we have mixed culture and it's harmonious. But that somewhat changed. Personally, its so sad to see. we can learn so much from Singapore. Thank you for sharing 🙏
