    • I hate that yall don't have forest in Russia, but here in America we use trees for several things. Including paper, ass wipes, pencils, furniture, lumber to build homes, maybe we have been doing everything all wrong and we should save the trees, build houses out of brick and make things from plastic and metals...the trees provide oxygen they filter our ozone..I hate to see them cut as well. It's unfortunate, but we are so use to it , we turn a blind eye 👁

    • Sabías que originalmente el planeta tenía una atmósfera de CO2 y las bacterías que generaron oxigeno terminaron por provocar la primera gran extinción masiva de especies? Llamar al CO2 "aire sucio" es una cuestión de perspectiva, para nosotros es "aire sucio" pero para el planeta es el aire original. Algunos piensan que nuestra función es precisamente liberar ese CO2 almacenado por milenios en forma de gas y petróleo que antes fueran seres vivos y así completar el siguiente ciclo.     • I think it's because the tree take long period of time to grow to such a big size, it could be taking 20～100 years, but to cut it off it just take a few minutes. Especially now the global climate issue, it really make us think twice before we do it.

  • It seems as if many of the viewers failed to notice that many of the limbs were dead. The tree was dying. So you have to fell the tree before it falls the wrong direction on something that's valuable.

  • The hardest thing about cutting down big old trees is the history behind them. I remember when an old tree near my grandparents' was about to be cut, one neighbor came and reminisced about how he used to meet his girl under that tree. That tree was the only thing he got to remember her by.

    • I would agree, but the tree in my front yard became too tall and leaning towards my home. Then seeing carpenter ants it was time for it to go. Same with my neighbors trees, five of them. My fear is the weather has changed. It's more wet year around. The ground is rocky and the sole is washing away. Plus the wind has gotten severe. It's blower hard for five months straight. I got scared that the trees were going to uproot due to the high winds and sole erosion. There's 300 acre forest around my house.

Even dead ones, like huge oaks we have left in their place (just stylizing them). Who doesn't love trees? But where I'm from there also won't grow a beautiful forrest without helping out trees (and other plants) by cutting down those which cause unconducive results.

    • If we run the math on that, surely we have deforested 20 planet earths since that statement first appeared in that Michael Jackson video. In reality softwood lumber is grown fast as a sustainable business in large empty countries like Canada and Russia. They have a symbol on the lumber in the UK to prove its responsibly grown. The real issue is deforestation in South America and it's terrible. But most timber products you buy these days are made from chipboard with laminates which are not wood like kitchen worktops or they are softwood lumber which is regrown.

    • Usually those trees get cut for safety. If compromised it's better to get rid of it and plant new ones

  • I don’t think people realize how many trees there are in the world… this isnt sad in fact in most cases it’s necessary to prevent wildfires from spreading or a tree collapsing onto someones house. I used to do this type of work.

    • If they continue to destroy the trees. We lost oxygen. CO2 will increase fast. That's why the trees inhale CO2 and release the fresh oxygen we breathe.
