  • Its like a giant living version of those coin push machines at arcades.....but with crocodiles lol Crocs & vultures do a fantastic job of getting rid of all the dead bodies....if not for them whole sections of river would rank bacteria filled toxic zones.

  • @8:27 - 9:14 mother gnu starts to go back and look for her baby calf. When she finally finds him they start to cross back but since mother always care for their offspring they decided to cross first risking their life and rather let the predator attack them rather then their offspring. Which mother gnu did get attack, if her offspring cautiously jump and doesn't get injured the mother don't have to go back and pay a heavy price with her life. This is a lesson we all should listen to our mother no matter what kind animals kingdom we're from.

    • There's nothing to save. The dead ones in the water drowned during filming, and the last one with the broken leg couldn't be helped either - even for pet horses or cows with modern vets, this would be a death sentence. Plus, predators and scavengers rely on the carcasses, too.

  • I think your embellishing when you claim the leader assess the current and tries to locate the narrowest point of the river to cross. I just don't think these animals are that smart. So often they will enter the river in massive numbers to start crossing only to reach the other side and have a 20m high vertical cliff face to scale. So you're suggesting they can assess current strength and estimate the width of a river, but can't see 50m to the other side of the river to ensure they have the ability to get out of the water when they get there? It's so dangerous when you feel the need to pad your documentaries with made up facts because sometimes people might be looking to use the information from the video in maybe something academic like an assignment and if they did they be so wrong
