It's good how in all these competitions camera quality is just enough to see fencers bodies and never enough to see blades. Are they using cameras from early 2000s and never did an upgrade?

They had like 10 years of oligarch money and couldn't get an extra chunk of change for a few cameras

I remember first seeing him IRL at ECC in Belgrade in 2022 and he was so good it wasnt even funny. He is also so fast that if you blink you wont see the point

He won the commonwealth championship u20s (could be 18s) in 2022, I’ve been following him since then, he’s a very strong fencer, I was so pleased to finally see him get a decent breakthrough!

Thanks for your lively commentary. I just watched the FIE video of the epee finals, sheesh. Wake me up - the action was great, but the commentary. At one point "It's 27 degrees in Doha, and it's 9 at home." What's that got to do with anything? Just for comparison, I checked in on some curling. Those guys are excited about a stone going down a lane of ice; get your viewers engaged. Maybe we'd get more interest if commentators could get something exciting and get all jacked up about fencing- where all weapons make for some really exciting game. Maybe the money they saved on cameras could have been used to recruit some talent.
