    • I've experienced many people suffering an anti social disorder. Some were narcisssist, other sociopath or psychopath. Most diagnosed. I didn't yet know what to think of it. I could not see evil in their eyes. My brother in law murdered my older sister and later was diagnosed before the trial, as a psychopathic narcissist. I didn't see any evil in his eyes neither but 2 out of about 15 had a rather empty look in their eyes, in retrospect. There was one person who wasn't diagnosed, and which was the first person of which i realized he was mentally abusing me. I was already feeling really bad, was on disability and during a conversation he was seriously devaluating my person and it got me angry. Wasn't the first time but this time as i got angry i saw the pupils of his eyes become very, very large.... and as quick as the grew they snapped back to normal rather small size. In retrospect it was like he experienced joy in making me angry. THAT is the only time i had ever seen something almost otherworldy in someone's eyes.

    • 1% is very rare - not common, but narcissistic tendencies or NPD (specifically vulnerable/covert) behave in that way. Present themselves to everyone else as different from how they are, preemptively spread lies about those who know the truth about their true self so they look like the crazy ones. They are the ones who actually commit the most murders, they do this when they about to get caught in their lies & their true self will be exposed (recall the word vulnerable) OR they are about to lose their control over you (think domestic abuse, where the most dangerous time is when or just after you leave). I've personally known diagnosed & suspected (hard to get a diagnosis for most narcissists because of denial of responsibility & self reflection so they won't voluntarily see anyone who would call them out/ID them) & 1 diagnosed Sociopath (yes that DSM ago). There is a big difference, but both can destroy & damage, just differently. But only a sociopath can dive deep into your psyche beyond the narcissists superficial charm, they are the true con-artists that talk you into things that you'd never do otherwise...not lazy 'Nigerian Prince' cons playing on ignorance/innocence, they play on your internal psychological wounds & deficits. It's a whole different level. Not to diminish narcissistic trauma, that is real & requires real therapy. But as it's said in this video (tho using term psychopath - like the new anti-social personality disorder in current DMS) I knew about sociopaths, I even called the diagnosis (to myself) before I say the official. I thought I was immune...& yes, I came out better than others, but I was still destroyed. So I'm not nit-picking, the difference in terms DOES matter, it IS important, educating yourself is important & it DOES NOT mean that your trauma is less "correct", it is very real, but the difference can diminish the experiences of others. & personally, I'd like everyone to get the treatment & understanding & acceptance that they deserve & not be dismissed because every medical professional thinks they are "exaggerating" or is misusing terms as it's hard enough to be believed as female to begin with. I have an MS & I was blown off or rather LAUGHED off, so this is for ALL of us.

  • Prefacing my comment by stating that I'm a retired mental health social worker specialized in Level 1 clients both in the Child/Adolescence and later in the Adult system. Level 1's were chronic, severe requiring multiple agencies involvement. In the adult system I had 2 cases that were Rule 11's - guilty but mentally ill and were in the psych ward at the state prison - indefinitely. But I'm not going to focus on them. My focus is on the children who grow up to be psychopaths. There were 3 things at the time we looked for in our clients/patients. Cruelty to animals, fire setting, bedwetting. These behaviors were the first indicators of pathology. Then it was the misc. behaviors - stealing, lying, aggressions, passiveness, etc. For example, one client that I did an intake on had the 3 indicators. 1. Cruelty to animals: He would capture and torture smaller animals - pet hamsters, turtles, birds, lizards etc. He'd skin them alive, set them on fire, break all their bones and so on. 2. Fire setting: He would go around the apartment complex and check to see if car windows were down. Didn't have to all the way down or half down, just a gap would be fine. Then he'd light matches and push them through the opening. Sometimes he'd shove paper in and push the lit matches on top. 3. He was a bed wetter. The parents had taken to padlocking his door at night so he wouldn't get out. Then they had a padlock on the inside of their bedroom to keep him out, and a padlock on the baby brother's door. Padlocked all the cabinets and fridge; the same with all cleaning and bathing supplies, all the utensils and so on. He was 11 years old. At that time, per the DSM IIIr - his diagnosis was Conduct Disorder. Also, one cannot give a child a diagnosis of psychopathy. And in my 20+ years in this field, these children are more common than you think. We cannot wait until these children grow up to be adults before we identify them. Because by that time, they have honed their skills and become proficient in their deeds. Ted Bundy is one example. I don't know what the answer is, but it is something that we should not overlook nor ignore.

Monies earned could have been spent on fortifying the door entry ways with reinforced steel and concrete, then get a lucrative endorsement deal with US Steel, and use those proceeds to build a church in which to hold an exorcist event to rid the poor child of all the demons so he can be reunited with family. Then open the church for worship giving prarishners an opportunity to exercise their demons, as there seems to be an abundance of them floating about these days looking for souls to take.

    • My brother has the traits of a psychopath. I have waited for many years to see if any bodies show up in our area. My father was a psychopath and my mother was a sociopath. We come from, as my sister puts it, the original dysfunctional family. She is a violent woman. I always say that she has Stockholm Syndrome. She emulates our violent father. That is her survival mechanism. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for my entire life. I am now retirement age. After all of this including two very bad husbands, I am now writing a book about psychopaths. It explains that not all psychopaths are serial killers. There are more of them than most people realize. They are politicians, religious leaders, business leaders and others. There was a university study in 2010 that found that one in five business leaders are psychopaths. I know that this number is much higher when I see all that they do particularly in the United States. And I always state that psychopaths have caused every problem that we have in the world from global warming to wars to poverty and racism. It all comes back to psychopaths leading the way and others following them unfortunately for the rest of us. It is almost impossible to defeat them with the exception that the pen really is mightier than the sword. Thanks for the insights.

In the spectrum covering narcissism and pscyhopathy there are varying degrees of both conditions, and it takes getting to know a person before you start to see signs of either condition begin to emerge. I've had one devastating experience with a covert narc and that was enough to scare me for life - it changes your ability to trust openly ever again and makes you very wary about just who you may be talking to .

Outside of their victims, no one knows who they really are. I know from a great deal of experience. I feel as though I have known every psychopath who ever walked the earth because they have been a constant in my life. There are people who have convinced you that they are wonderful people. You don't know who they really are in private away from you. That's why people are so shocked when they find out what someone was doing while away from them. And, when they play it right, they make the victim out to be a bad person while they are victimizing them. Anything to protect themselves. That is so they can continue their evil behavior without being suspected because if anyone finds out, they can't get away with it anymore. The only person they care about is themself.

This is why I reach out. I don't know what we can do, it is too late, but we should be fighting against them. The use of fossil fuels has caused devastation that will only get worse. The Big Oil executives knew that this would happen in 1959. They didn't care. They lied because they only cared about great wealth. Now, as soon as the glaciers break free from the Arctic and Antarctic, we are done. There will be great flooding. Then, the jet stream will stop and the next ice age will happen. I expect this in the next year or two. All of this stems from the lies of psychopaths. Everything wrong in this world is because of psychopaths. Yet, because they have no fear of consequences and no conscience, they will continue until it all ends.

I think primates like we all are, are a very nasty behaving animal in general and if we look at chimps and other primates, except gorillas and oerang oetans, we are in the same club. Only a few exceptions exist of people who are wired differently. Also, diet plays a huge role in aggression and deficienties in nutrients can cause eratic behaviir, mood swings and so on. That man was fine, but had he been abused as a child, he might have been a danger to society. Many people are abused as children, I was one of them, but people like this are not a danger to society because we do not have the nature, or the DNA to create a psychopath.

I used to think, I'd be devastated if someone talked to me like they did to her, but it used to just brush over her without a worry. Her husband came from a very wealthy family and when the farther-in-law died, she left her husband but not before telling him she wanted half his dads inheritance. She told me with glee how she had all these compromising sexual pics of her husband and if he tried to fight her right to half the inheritance, she would send those pictures to his boss. That's when I started to back away. I found out later that she had tried to steal her ex husbands jag and when he stood in front of the car, she smiled at him before running him over. She went to prison and I've never had anything to do with her since.

Very few psychopaths go out and kill. The types of careers smart psychopaths go into may utilise their psychopathic traits. Lack of empathy can be an advantage. If as a surgeon you are operating on a small child - the same age and sex of your own child say - is it not better to have no emotions to distract you, and instead the psychopath can logically provide the best care? I see the majority of psychopaths as just another neurodiversity.

  • This documentation comes far too mixed, attention grabbing, lacking of both structure and content. Some examples before I stopped watching: - From 12:00 on it is spoken of a psychopathy test and traits typically high on a psychopath, but the test is never explained, the traits are never listet, neither explained. - From 17:00 on brain scan pictures are shown, as if the psychopath would be simply identifiable by anyone looking at such pictures through having less brain activity (during what action?). Thats simply misleading. The only scientifically affirmed knowledge here is: More intelligent brains allways show less activity when solving a problem than the less intelligent brains. The regions of the brain specifically involved for psychopathy are not explained/mentioned, here. So no distinction can be made... - Why is Donald Trump frequently shown as if he was a textbook example of a psychopath? His behavior is so bizarre in allmost every aspect, that he cannot be seen as a good example for anything specific!

  • The funniest part to this story is the fact that crazy people are necessary for our survival. My landlord and I are both nuts. He spreads himself way too thin to make the ends meet and when he does this, he becomes edgy and stubborn, and he refuses to listen to reason and part of this is because he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Most of the successful people I know, are crazy as fuck and think the same way. My crazy was from hitting my head too many times. You simply have to be aware of the fact that people can and will turn on you from time to time and there's no such thing as a normal person. Most humans are fucked from birth. We're just good at hiding it.

So bc of Ruiz, many don’t see tyecwaening signs. Even when I tried to warm others about these ppl. they felt uncomfortable with my truth and didn’t believe me bc it made no sense to them that our mutual friend was a psychopath. So that’s in the psychopaths plans and this is how they set it up and how they pull off the hurt and manipulation. Then if ever the ppl. you know has figured it out, they are too ashamed to admit they were also fooled and was so wrong about a person.

  • I have worked with these psychopaths! I had one supervisor who started out being very negotiable and helpful. Then, when he thought that making others look bad to make himself look good, he started a campaign of soiling other's reputations. I was one of the victims. There were clues to his behavior that pointed to psychopathy or psychopathic behavior, and he did so with abandon, only to be fired later for his unscrupulous behavior. He told me one time that people were intimidated by his being a white, educated male. He told me, "it's too intimidating to most people." I can attest to this, to the mask of negotiability that fell off and his evil personal showed up, I swear he had a long pointed tail and wore a red cape and had devil's eyes. All I know is that he only posed to be a nice person and then greed and evil took him over, leaving about six people he worked with, and that included me, devastated.
