As Broncos fan I am fine with this trade. There is no risk…if it works, great if not…it doesn’t. I think this allows the Broncos to move back in the draft if the quarterback they want isn’t available at 12 and take a quarterback in the later rounds. Hackett is awful and he almost destroyed Russell Wilson so Zach didn’t have a chance with him as his offensive coordinator.

@bobbyleglocks1992 I don't really know much about TE Powers, and Dulcich is just a Receiving TE, so We do need a FB/Blocking TE. And I am Hoping that HC Payton can improve Zach (just a 6th rnd. Pick for a #2 overall Draft Pick, who has played under Bad Coaching with No WRs, either)

This is probably the most accurate summary of Zach Wilsons life in New York I have seen since the trade to Denver. crappy run game, crappy line play, crappy OC, with a fan base that wanted him to come in as a 21 yr old rookie and overcome NFL defenses immediately and carry the team on his back to the playoffs and to a super bowl despite everything crappy around him. for Jets fans, if ZW didn't live up to Mahomes, Josh Allen, or Tom Brady he would be considered a bust, and get boo'd out of town. NY is the worst place for a rookie QB. They should never ever ever get another one. The Jets should always get the last three years of a great QB's career like they are with Rogers. The media is too intense, too finicky, and too impatient. Let's also remember that when you only have one good receiver (questionable in my mind btw) and no running game, the d-line can blitz EVERY TIME!!!! it's a recipe for disaster, and I DON"T CARE WHO THE ROOKIE QB IS!!!! Trevor Lawrence, and even Mahomes would have been boo'd too. I have no doubt. as for ZW's future. We'll see. the kid has amazing arm talent, and a gunslinger mentality. the question is whether he can come out of the abusive relationship with NY and mentally overcome it, or will he be damaged forever... personally I think ZW is cocky enough to overcome NY. I hope he does. it might turn me into a Broncos fan!

Love it. The offense was woeful at best last year. Zach actually improved a lot, but the line was so bad we barely got to see the progress. Hopefully Denver will be the fresh start we all want to see. I think he can be a top 10 QB with the right team, he was one of the most accurate passers when protected. Let's go Broncos!

Took me a day to realize rationally this was a solid no risk move. He was the number 2 pick in the draft and the Jets are a joke when it comes to producing QBs. You look at his tape and when he has time the kid can straight up make any throw you may need. Imagine if he gets confidence early in a new city. After all the terrible luck this team has had, perhaps this is the moment where we for once get lucky. I wonder what type of opportunity he will get if we still go QB round 1. I like Penix I think he’s going to be the player certain teams regret passing up on. Would love Rome as well

Zach had career highs in comp % (60.1) and his first yr with a positive TD to int ratio (8-7). Neither were great but the Jets literally replaced over half of their offense in the first two weeks of FA. Zach had flashes of pure greatness last season vs the chiefs, Texans, and I would argue the raiders game where he was sabotaged NUMEROUS times by drops and penalties including an insane Garret Wilson drop for a game winning TD the drive before the Hail Mary attempt. Zach gets wayyyy too much hate imo. Going to root HARD for him in Denver!!!

As a Jets fan. Zach Wilson and Sam Darnold both got set up for failure. He’s a bit of a gun slinger, and misses easy throws, but he’s not horrible. I’m sure he can be an average starter in the NFL with good coaching.

Glad Zach has left the Jets which are known for destroying QB's. Zach will shine in Denver mark my words with a 7th overall OL he will have time to make plays instead of running for his life in New York. Paint Zach average which takes the pressure off and I bet he will go all pro. I feel sorry for Aaron and any other QB who goes to New York, hope Aaron with no protection doesn't blow out his other Achilles as his legs can't get him out of trouble like Wilson could.

If Zach can learn the offense, make pre snap reads, go through his progressions,he can do well. Russ could do NONE of those things. Think Broncos end up trading Stidham to a qb needy team and go with Bo and Zach.

Trading for Wilson is essentially like buying a lottery ticket. There is a small chance it hits. He has talent but can he fix his errors with good coaching? I'd like it to happen but I still want them to draft Michael Penix or Bo Nix tomorrow.

I blame Woody Johnson for most of the failure this franchise has had. Shitty owner. I also blame Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh. They're both on their way out soon. Nate Hackett also should take blame for 2023 as well. And finally, I blame Wilson himself. Too much of a gunslinger and holds on to the ball too long. The Jets are poorly run and have been for many years. Haven't been to the playoffs since 2010. Something has to change.

It's not that deep, I spent 5 seconds on the title. For a new/small channel like mine, I can't simply call it "Zach Wilson traded to the broncos" as it'll get buried under hundreds of videos and the algorithm would never push it. I do though have older videos where I blame the Jets for all of Wilson's short comings, I was an apologist in the beginning but I've become a realist on Zach and wish him the best.
