A wood splitter is a very helpful tool, especially if you have knotty wood.
We used a lot of steel to build our splitter to make the whole thing very stable. The main frame is 2 steel C-sections 160 mm and a flat bar 200x12.
The gear is driven by a 2.2 kW gear motor with an output speed of 20 revolutions per minute.
The toothed rack is a 2 x M4 (40x40) module, unhardened, and the gears of the same module have 18 teeth.
Nice and clean build! I tought you were doing one of those pretty crazy flywheel splitters. So nice to see that it was gear driven and operating at a sensible speed. The table at the end to catch the wood is great! that is a back saver. If you throw the split firewood on a table or other raised area/equipment, the person moving the firewood to the storage shed don't have to bend over. That is also nice.
Every aspect of this is extremely satisfying; very well done. Should keep you warm for years to come.
This was a great video, I really enjoyed how it turned out and how well it worked.
Absolutely the best design and build splitter I have ever seen !!! You are very creative ! How you made everything fit together is mind boggling !! You plan and see things 4 steps ahead to make it all work.
Another example of your design and manufacturing skills. I am always intrigued to see what you will next!
Super, incredible force and easy to build. Great job! Next step a cutter and splitter processors.
That’s an awesome build. Like how quiet it is. 👏👏👏👏
Nice build, and I like how you handled the details!
Just beautiful to see you work and create.
Nice build and works great ! Like that bandsaw you have.
Respect... both for the design and the craftmanship!!
That is a heck of a splitter. And so much quieter than the hydraulic style.
Very nice build. I wasn’t sure that you pinion and rack gear interface weren’t going to do some popping and grinding but none yet.
That's the biggest rack and gear log splitter I've seen yet handy watching you straighten the slider with heat as well I had the same problem after welding 👍
I can't find where he straightens the slider with heat :(
The bit he has 3 blow torched pointing at the slide plate after he welds the ram mounts pretty easy to find 😂
I'm impressed with your engineering skills , well done
Well done sir !!! You are a master craftsman... I enjoy watching your art Sir !!!
FANTASTIC work, dude! Really well done!!! 😃 You're ready for winter! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Very well designed and constructed for a lifetime machine. Wish I knew what the cost of one or where its made. Excellent!!
The only things i can see that wear out will be those return springs stretching or compressing over time. No exspensive hydraulic hoses to blow and replace. Man i am a sucker for some good old mechanical advantage, simple and bullet proof. 😮❤😊
looks like the workshop you built is coming in really handy, nice work mate.
Thanks 👍
Nice design, nice construction. Thanks for sharing.
I kept having deja vous while watching this. Could have sworn you uploaded this one years ago. It even looks like the old shop. Still, it’s a great video and great build!
same.
Made In Poland chanel, its the same guy.
New viewer here, This was very cool. great build and thanks for sharing.Greetings from GA USA
Beautiful machine! Super Robota 👍🏻😁
Good job mister beautifully done
When Poland sends the first space ship to succeed in landing on Jupiter, it'll be this guy that made it happen ! This was a fantastic build from the start ! ....i was second guessing why you didn't make a multiple splitter but then there it was ! Have a great day sir from Seattle
Bravo! Esti cel mai tare!
Perfect work BRO!!
Very nice. Thanks for the video.
Very nice work you have done.
Super job. Well made
It works very well!
Nie no, fachowa robota, mistrzostwo. Pozdrawiam.
Awesome job. May GOD bless.
Dude ! Very nice. Brilliant!
I'm delighted, bravo...
Really good stuff, love the engineering. only one thing, should flip the blade to the base and make multi blades for the foot and hammer head on the ram?
Those round have no chance that wood spitter have no trouble at all. That is one awesome wood spitter great job 👍
Glad you have a shirk to put around your drills. I was concerned the earlier drill cutting were going to rearrange you tops of your knuckles.
Very strong and works well. 😮
Tremendous talent!
Very good work, congratulations.
Dużo pracy ,energii i kosztów.Za wykonanie wielki szacunek.Trochę przerost formy nad treścią.
I really like you're work and you're ingenious ideas, i now i sound greedy but you put the plans for sale?? I wanted to try myself to build one
Wow, you have built the strongest wood splitter in the world. The quality of your work is very good. I am curious about the total cost of the machine & materials? I'm sure your labor hours were quite a few, but there is nothing more satisfying than a finished product. Great job, you should be proud.
A really nice machine! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
YOU ARE SO GOOD BROTHER.
Travis, God loves you. I love you. The ninja nation loves you. Fear and doubt are Satans tools. Do not fall prey to his influences. Just a hint from a military guy who has been on the 2 way rifle range. I tell my wife that I dont worry about things. If I have a worry, she will be on the floor babbling and drowning in a pool of her own mess. Quit worrying. Warriors understand that life and death are two sides of the same coin. Either way, we win as a child of God. The truth you speak is a blessing for those with the ear to hear. I will be plain and simple. The time to hear Gods message of life is coming to a close. I pray that those reading my message to you comprehend this and make amends and heed the message. Peace to you and your family this holiday season. May God bless you and keep you. May he make his light shine upon you.
Nice man .
You sir are brilliant……
professional product!!
At 30:04, that's a nice little electrical box. Could you give us a link to where you got it pls?
Is it possible to post a picture of the data plates on the motor and gear box?
you sir are very talented
Very impressive. Talented
Elegancka łuparka . Pozdrawiam .
A great work 👍
Good Job.
About 20 years ago I got my middle finger smooshed between the anvil and the log on a gas powered hydraulic splitter. Popped it like a grape!! Crushed the bone. It still isn't right to this day, it grows a wonky nail and has a big 13 stitch scar. Be careful, mind your fingers.
The video was very good. Fine as a matter of fact! But how do you remove the protective caver, if needed?
All covers are unscrewable and removable;)
Koszt materiału ogromny
It helps to have a multi million dollar shop and a millions of dollars in tools to do the work. Not to mention several thousand dollars in steel.
I envy people who have 220 volt service and particularly 3 phase; it's pretty much essential here.
superb skills .
made in poland?
Nice machine
Grandios!!!
Nice Job Bro
Thanks
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
I like that there are no hydraulics as that seems to be the weak point on most splitters.
100% for design skill build
Very nice work! I could sell those in Canada if you can make a few hundred of them.
The Best
Where did the rack and pinion come from?
I bought it online.
Z Twoimi umiejętnościami zabrałbym się za patentowanie. Pzdr
Pulled the old switch aroo on a couple of those rounds. Hmmmmm......
Top Handwerker , Respekt !!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Takie klocki to idą fiskarsem pomimo moich 60 z dużym plusem, trzeba pokazać możliwości na brzozowych odziomkach.
Try splitting some different wood that requires the wedge to go all the way to the back stop to complete the split. Can't do it with this electric homemade toy.
Aren't you thd same guy from the "Made in Poland" channel?
Yes I'm :)
@@homemadeinventionsMIP Lovely! I was about to rat you out on the original channel but this is even better! Enjoy building sh#t, im admiring your work!
It is quiet and powerful,,just way too slow for me,,,,i built a conventional hydraulic splitter except it is a 2 way splitter/carriage with a stationary wedge a high speed pump and 3 inch ram,,,it is very fast and has a hydraulic foot for raising large rounds up to the carriage which is high enough i can stand erect while operating the machine
❤👏👏👏👍💪
I kolejny rębak do kolekcji :D
he made this on his other channel a few year ago. seems like he is recycling material on another channel.
You put the log with all the knots on the splitter at 33:24 and then switched it out, so I would have to say, not the strongest splitter after all
100% not true. It was just turned so it wouldn't move sideways. During editing, this part of the video, as well as many others, were cut out so that the video would not take forever. But I guarantee you it's the same piece of wood.
I think it is too expensive to make this wood splitter.A much cheaper product for home use can be found on the market
